Here’s a quick video of what’s inside the boat! 400 watts of solar panels, trolling motor, heater etc. It sure gets some looks on the river. Cheers everyone! The adventure continues.
Thanks for following along! This channel gives me more freedom to post things other than a full 20-30 min camping trip, when I put the shorter vids on the other channel I got complaints and lost subscribers
Steve Wallis Step 2 yo steve your the man real friends will follow you where ever, subbed to both channels and wait for a sub on either one 👍🏽 much love from someone from so cal 👌🏽
Sweet setup! Thanks for the update, brother. These adventures are awesome during the weird times we live in. Especially love the arms up salute from crazy neighbor every time the camera is on him. Haha
Steve’s got talent! Check out his older boondocking video/film. Still one of my favs. Great personality for this format and great eye for 🎥 and editing.
Just turned on thr youtube and saw this upload and got so pumped. And rushed to your channel to watch. Cant wait for the whole upcoming boat video. Cheers om the number 2
Good morning Steve and Crazy neighbour. From Engand 🇬🇧. Thank you again for your video. It sounds totally crazy but your adventures and great sense of humour have helped me no end through these dark days of Covid. When its been hard I've rewatched your videos. Thanks again. Enjoy your step twos 🍻🍻
Lol who's the haters that could hate Steve? This is not a bad video, don't worry bout the haters, still a great video my man! Mad love from Colorado to you all, northern neighbors or locals.
@@DClean Look at the like/dislike ratio. There are no haters. It is unreasonable to expect 100% of people to enjoy every single thing they come across.
In the days of my wayward youth we would spend days drifting down river in our raft(s), and always had cans of beer submerged and drifting along with us. Because it was Oregon, thus the river was fed by glacial runoff, we knew our brews would be drinkable whenever we popped them open.
The trolling motor claim of lasting 5 times longer may be true, but only at the very lowest speed settings. So if on speed 1 of a traditional resistor based speed control motor, it may draw about 5 amps while your PWM based motor would draw only about 1 amp to get the same RPMs to the prop. At higher speeds, the difference drops of until max speed, where there is no difference at all.
Steve, you look like you could definitely use a Step 2! Hope you guys get a special delivery so you can imbibe onshore before your trip ends. Crazy Neighbor's arm waving in the background always cracks me up. Wishing you full sun for the rest of your trip.
Thanks for the video! Tthe minuscule efficiency advantage of an MPPT controller is basically meaningless at 400 watts under most conditions. I found a cheap PWM controller that allows me to select the absorption voltage (14.9 for 6 volt X 2 golf cart batteries) and has temperature compensation. I doubt you could find another off-the-shelf controller that charges my batteries any faster. Great to see you are out in the plastic barrel-toon raft! Can't wait for the whole story.
That looks like a dream vacation and I'm so jealous. If you are ever in Southern Washington for vacation I will be more than willing to show you some amazing spots in the states
Over cast cloudy conditions are perfect for photography or filming. Professional people love that weather the light is even on the face and in this video everything looked bright. The river is beautiful plus you have a beach and privacy your so lucky. So many people are coming up were I am there leaving nyc. It's getting crowded here I don't like it. Wish I could visit Canada I never traveled there before but the mountains are beautiful. My beloved California is on fire the Redwood National Forest is burning breaks my heart. That's we're I'm from . Nice video thanx 🤠
Late one night you thought, mmmm, I might go rafting down river with Crazy Neighbour, mmmm. But then you are Steve and you actually went out and did it. Can’t wait to see the main footage. Good luck you 2 and stay safe.
Just wondering...are those cloudy days a result of all the fires in the USA? Y'all stay safe and send some of your good vibes to everyone on the west coast 🙏✌️
Finally going camping for a couple of nights!!! Inspired by you mate - thank you❤🍻 Got my ice tent that goes up in a flash, bright orange tho😂😂 Not stealthy & kinda hurts the eyes😮 But my camp will be set-up in a flash (of orange apparently) 😮😃 It's going to be a chilly early spring on around mid 20 Celsius, so the "ice tent" should be "allllll right" Cheers & thanks mate
Just thought Steve you could use greenhouse wiggle wire and channels to secure your tarp instead of staples! Super easy to use, very secure and can easily be removed and put back into place without damaging the tarp with staples each time! Enjoy the trip!!
My family thinks I'm crazy, as I may or may not quote Steve all the time. "Hunker Down" and "having a Step 2" are now common phrases in my house/campsite. Haha. I've told my family I NEED a Hunker Down hoody for Xmas!
Those Minnkoda's are very good! If you treat it right and don't run it up too many sandbars you should be able to hand it down in the family. Have fun and be safe!
