😄 I asked my Mexican family to watch this performance, with me. They rolled their eyes and asked, "Why do want to watch another White person butcher our language?" They watched her. She left them impressed, with their mouths open, and wanting to watch it again. 🤣 🤘💜🤘

Well, here's a thing. There a Sweden living Dutch singer of a Finnish metal band sings Latin salsa in Spanish on a Dutch tv-show. And she nails it! Hallelujah! 🙏

The killer part: The day after this aired, the song was released as a single. It hit #1 in Argentina, top 10 in Peru, and top 20 throughout the rest of Central and South America. Crazy for some Dutch-born swedish immigrant who learned this song by pronunciation only, and turned a Salsa/reggaeton song into a Latin power ballad.

Never let Floor sing your song. She'll own it.

This program is not about winning at all, but about friendship. Such a nice program.

Can you believe that this was the first thing I heard from Floor (yes I'm Dutch I CONFESS). And of course I was like wow WHO IS THIS WOMAN & so I discovered Nightwish & their music helped me so much. And through them I discovered Dimash, and he's just changing my life. I owe this song a lot ❤️

For a 6'+ woman Floor is still well grounded and humble about her talent. That's a big part of what I really like about her and keeps me wanting to see her sing anything and everything and color it with her personality.

The sixth was for Emma Heesters and Floor sang Shallow and the seventh was for Tim Akkerman and Floor did his song Winner. So there is on Dutch song left and 3 in English. The last episode was de duet episode in which Floor sang with Henk The Phantom, but she also sang Shallow again, but now with Tim Akkerman.

You put it in words brightly. Indeed, when the audience starts singing your lines, that's the greatest feeling.. And also, it's a sign of artistic grace to allow for an instrumental intermezzo like a guitar solo.

Since I'm also became a huge fan of Floor I follow a lot of reactions to her performances on RU-vid. Yours is one of the best, because in most cases, you have done your research. What I like especially, is that you not only react on her magnificent voice and performing capabilities, but you also follow the others, their experiences and feelings at that moment. Being dutch myself, I know the show (and most of the singers) quite well, which makes it much easier. But you have a great understanding of the concept of the show and what the participants, as singing artists, are experiencing. That's great ! You're a very good observer, you hardly miss any detail and your analyses and comments are spot on. My compliments and keep it up !

I watched the entire 2019 season of the show (I skipped some of the in-between stuff though). But all of the performances were pretty awesome. Came for Floor stayed for pretty much all of them :D

Ho yess!!!!! I love the fact you just don't react only on the song but gives the story. I watched all the episodes of this show, it was difficult to find with translation, I never watch tv myself, but this show is really interesting, not competition, only the pleasure of sharing between artists.

You definitely should try her version of "Winner" from the show. Henk is also in a different mood hearing her performing that song 😉

Dude she changed Salsa to soft Metal. If she sings it, she sings it like it's hers with every ounce of emotion in her.

I think her attitude of keeping 2 feet on the ground is our typical Calvinistic Dutch attitude. We have an expression in the Netherlands that goes: "Act normal, then you're acting crazy enough already", which we tend to say to people who are on the verge of getting ahead of themselves. I think that's something that keeps most of our celebrities normal and down to earth. Also I love the fact that you're using the extended versions of the videos from Jenniezelf with the backstory and the artists talking about the performance. That just adds so much of context that makes the performances so much more enjoyable. And finally, I agree: full kudos to the Marcel Fisser Band... they nail it with every single performance!

I have really no more good words to use to describe this amazing singer AND woman so i'm just going to reccomend you next the song from this show: Shallow which she sang for Emma (the blond girl). She is a cover artist in youtube which has done the cover of that Lady Gaga song, Floor takes it and kills it as per usual. Not sure about the order, in the end it doesn't matter if you are going to do them all, there are 6 single songs and 2 duets (one was the Phantom of the Opera with Henk of course, there's also Shallow -same Lady Gaga song- with Tim Akkerman)

Lady Floor is great. I think that her Spanish is very good. She transform salsa song in to great rock hit. I'm still under charm of her vocal and liryc interpretation (I hope that word egsist in english) ability. She's Goddes.

I am Dutch and I am currently learning Spanish and I can confirm that, at least in my experience, it is quite an easy language to learn.

Marcel showed what a brilliant guitarist he is when he was on Floor's solo tour this year. It's just a pity that Lesley the backing singer on the show wasn't on the tour as well.

This is actually my favorite song that Floor did, in large part due to the uncanny resemblance to a Spanish metal band i used to listen to a lot in the late 80's early 90's, namely "Heroes del lisensio". I would not be surprised if she, or a few band members were fan of that band as well because of the way this song feels. As you heard, the two songs couldnt be more different from eachother, but we tend to forget that this was created by Floor AND the band. (there is a good reason why the band does so much backing work for several Dutch artists, liveshows and all) So in essence they created a big hit together (Itunes charts hit all over Latin American) I love that you now use the extended versions of the clips so you get some extra back information on what is actually about to happen (and why), it helps a great deal in understanding the artists and the show itself. Thnx for the upload man :D

Mama was second, and she does it in Dutch. Samantha's song (the older blonde) and Sam can be a bit of a belter so it fits well with the Floor touch.
