Hi Out on The Reef, I like how you film your Gulf Stream crossings; we feel like we are in the boat with you! It was an overcast day, but the waters are still beautiful.... Thank you for your videos!.... Andy
@@OutOnTheReef hey there, long time fan. Would you consider allowing one of your subscribers follow you over to the Bahamas? It's my first time crossing and I would love to follow someone with experience over
Love the channel. Love the content. I always like your videos... and I'm really just commenting because I think it probably helps your RU-vid algorithm somehow. Keep the content coming Cap. Thanks!
Be careful out there cap. Terrible tragedy with those 2 firefighters who went missing from port Canaveral. Looks like you take safety seriously but can never be too safe
@@321thach we have no idea there's no report from the Coast Guard what happened to them and to this point if we don't know nothing looks like there's not going to be any answer for the future either very tragic
Love your videos. More in the moment audio plz. Your comments about what is going on is spot on and need more of it. Also class act character, seem like a stand up guy. Good luck out there!
No cap. Only one engine and hoping i never breakdown at sea so i try to keep up with my engine maintenance all the time to hopefully avoid unwanted breakdown at sea👍⚓️🛥
Thank you for the videos. Just a quick question on you life vest i see you have a PLB on your left, what is the the black one towards your right side ?
Thanks for another great video! Loved the arrival and your visiting with friends you met there in Bimini. Do you have trim tabs? Do you keep your engine tucked to smooth out the ride. Tabs and tucking in cost a bit of fuel sometimes but might improve the ride. Thanks again!
I have thrim tabs but I have a lot of fuel on the boat water and gear and it's very hard to bring the bow down even with the existing trim tabs I have now
Back throughout the 1990s I drove a V-bottom offshore race boat on the APBA and Superboat circuits. We had a tank we used to load water into the bow to balance the boat, level the ride and increase efficiency and speed. It improved speed and efficiency since, among other things we could use our trim tabs less. Maybe you could borrow from this old offshore racing trick and load some of your heavy gear in the bow to improve your ride. The farther forward in the nose, the less weight is needed to do the trick. Perhaps give it a try.
@@MikeWMiami that is a amazing idea Cap ,thank you for sharing that great info i will try to do my best to bring more wait to the front , Thank you so much for your great idea captain is really appreciate it

Btw you can go inside the store and they run your card to fill up so you don’t have to stop every $100. I usually tell them to charge $400 to my card - takes like 20 minutes to fill it lol
Another great one for the weekend. My wife and I are in Bimini now. Just had lunch at big John and picked up a case of Khalik. Let the good times roll. Here all week. All we are missing is a boat. 😩
Is very fast to do your Immigration and Customs probably 15 minutes if you have your paperwork ready if you don't it will take probably over an hour. And for a small boat at big game usually they charge about $22 a bigger boat to charge more just the doc and do your paperwork
thanxs for NOT putting in music in the video as you are going over the gulf stream.. you tube videos are way over produced .. i would rather hear the ocean and engines
I have a 212SS but know I'm thinking i should buy something like yours. because of size, fuel and somewhere to sleep and stay dry with no bugs!! Whats you model of your Parker?
Hope you get a great boat for your money captain and make sure it doesn't happen to you the same thing that happen to me and checked your boat very good because in my case I bought a Crooked palihouse one side of the boat is one inch and a half bigger than the other but I did not know that when you buy a boat you have to take tape measure tools and a level to make sure everything is all right so if I was you I will take my time to purchase a boat and check it very thoroughly I don't release the information of my boat because I have problems with a manufacture so I don't release none of the informations of my boat hope you understand. captain .
Hey Cap....greetings from PR. Left Florida this morning and landed in San Juan....check the weather...apparently is a system closing in to the Caribbean potencialmente puede ser huracan at least for PR....don´t know if am going to ride the storm here yet but for sure is heading to somewhere near Florida after PR according NOAA´s satellite forecast chart. In the next couple of days....Ocean s conditions will be changing . Be safe out there, Capt y monitorea ese tiempo.
Thank you Captain for really looking out for me I have my eye on the weather thanks for the heads up.
...plus in the ocean , you know how it is .....you only needs one wrong event to turn everything south.
Out On The Reef ..seguro que si recuerdo lo que paso con ese barco....negligencia total now the ship is sitting almost a mile down in the ocean because nobody said the magic words “cancel due to weather conditions “
The boat already has trim tabs but is very heavy with fuel so it's very hard to bring that Bow Down and I carry a lot of gear so that makes it not plane right. Thanks for watching captain
Hey may I ask how much you paid for your boat? I just bought a 2020 key west 23.9 with a Yamaha 250 SHO I paid 80000 dollars. Just wondering how much is a pilot house thank you
That's a great boat and a great Buy congratulations since I had a problem with a manufacturer how to release none of the information from this boat to the public hope you understand captain
Yes definitely it will have a better ride because of the transom has an extension platform to give you about 2 ft more of boat coverage. Yes most definitely I looked at that model before but it's very expensive for me but it is a much better boat make sure it's not crooked like mine😉🤣🤣🤣
Might have to do with where the console is located. The stern of the boat doesn’t come out of the water and the further you move forward the rougher the ride.
@@OutOnTheReef well Atlantic City NJ "in water boat show" is the first weekend in Sept, we have plans to go...we MAY just pull the trigger 🤗😎 I'll tell them I dont want the "crooked pilot house option", that I know some guy on RU-vid that got that option and he walks lopsided for 2 days after being on his boat..hehehe
You have shown your home coffee machine in a few videos but I can't see what make or model it is and your link is for your boat unit. How about letting us know what your home machine is, it looks great.
Sorry about that and if you check this video all the way in the bottom you will find the link of the espresso machine and if you purchase anything from Amazon within 24 hours of hitting my link that will give me 4 to 8% commission which really helps me a lot captain thank you. Navigate safe cap.
My friend, is your crooked PilotHouse boat you bought new correct?? if so how much and did they do anything for the crooked part? Discounts, returns, offer brand new one??
I purchase the boat brand new and did not know that it was crooked when I purchase it and after 3 months they offer me a new boat But not with the same specs to trade in for mine but I told the company that I wanted the same exact boat instead they asked me mandatory to return the boat so they can decide what they're going to do with it either take the boat apart or build me a new one and I did not agree on that I wanted an even exchange of a new boat, and I bought a brand new boat and I am not going to send the boat to the manufacturer so they can keep it in the manufacturer for 3 to 6 months when you pay full price for a boat and you don't have it for 3 to 6 months . But that did not happen so I decided to keep my crooked pilot house and it's part of my channel now, that's why I use the name on my channel
hey cap, love the channel, what is the cruising speed and top speed of your boat and how much fuel does it use for cruising and top speed,at cruising speed what is the range of the boat when fully top up with fuel. thanks a lot.
I have 90 gallons and I can do between 2 to 2.8 miles per gallon and I can travel up to 37 to 40 miles per hour depending on the weight that I'm carrying but I always cruise at 23 miles per hour that's my best gas mileage right there
Yes is very polite to tip them and I always tip them, in this case I tip the guy who was in charge is the gentleman that you see me taking a selfie with
@@sublime929 lol yes it's only recommended to drain the fuel if you going to leave it over six months to a year on storage but I use it every two months I drain those tanks quick
Way to go Capt. another crossing...... enjoyed your last long one to Chub Cay ..... far from home on that one.. LOL , how many hours on that Yammy so far? .. be safe out there hermano
@@OutOnTheReef She's just broken in, you get amazing fuel mileage for the weight of your boat loaded . I used to watch your earlier videos with the Yam. jet boat and you had to carry all the extra fuel cans now you have good range with the Parker/Yam combo.... huge difference, good setup!
I recently did this trip with the Bahamian tourism, and I can answer for you. He docked at big game resort, and customs are on site, I would say 100 feet from where he docked, if that much. You have to clear customs, then you have to get passport stamped from the immigration immigration office which is outside thr resort, i would say 10 minute walk. While at customs make sure to ask for your fishing permit in order to fish, it's free with your custom fees, but you have to ask for it.
Hi captain was wanting to know do you have to pay cash for gas and stuff over there or can you pay with cards do they except visa master card american express ? Thanks for any info stay safe captain . your buddy captain david
Yes David you can use your credit card but I used it once and they charge you a small fee like maybe $5 for every couple of hundred dollars but it's not that much buddy
There's no gas stations in next to I-95 I have tried to find did I can maneuver my boat through them they are all very small gas stations Mom and Pops instead i have to drive miles into town to get fuel and that was a really inconvenience for me I have tried several times so now I fuel up in my town is cheaper to buy the fuel in my area then buy it at Miami also
@Out On The Reef hey there, long time fan. Would you consider allowing one of your subscribers follow you over to the Bahamas? It's my first time crossing and I would love to follow someone with as much experience as you have
Thank you for the great invitation captain but I never know exactly what day I'm leaving until the last minute that's why I always go alone so I can never plan a trip. But if I do in the future I will definitely let you know
@@OutOnTheReef thanks for the quick reply, let me know I dont need much notice. I can also get some action footage for you or whatever you might need for the channel. I have a mavic pro 2 just itching for some action!
It's always in a captain's mind breaking down even if you have two Motors you can have steering issues that will keep you dead in the water doesn't matter you have two to three motors they don't guarantee you not to break down, And you can be afraid to go in the water just because you have one motor just got to be prepared if you break down be ready to call for help so you got to make sure you have communication
I'm good whether I can do 2.8 miles per gallon I'm bad weather I'll do 1.8 miles per gallon Estrano PR ace 3 anos que no e reqresado me encanta Aguadilla Crashboat beach.
Unsafe taking a small single engine boat across the Gulfstream without another boat. You are engine problem away from disaster. Why the buff on a cloudy day on the inside of a pilot house????
Hello friend , just..... stop calling it Crooked , you decided to keep it so ,she is just just your vessel ! the one thats keeping you safe , and inspiring us to push the proverbial envelope on boating , sweet and safe travels , just .....no need to be a sourpus!
Thank you Cap for your comment but the boat name it's called Crooked Pilothouse so that's why I always use the boat's name in my RU-vid channel is part of it, and remember this is one of a kind nobody has a crooked pilothouse boat , I'm the only one that has one😉⚓🤪
