The original was actually just a reused sound clip from Perfect Chaos, which was just a distorted Godzilla roar. This version isn't a reused sound, so it sounds a little better, but I still like the SA2 version more.
Brave Gallade It’s absolutely water, based on how Cannon’s Core has an entire section about draining it. Yep, you take the Biolizard out of its natural aquatic habitat, leaving it barely able to shuffle its body around.
That's easy. Because Mammals have a built in growth limit, while reptiles like the Biolizard tend to grow without limit. That was actually one of the problems with the prototype, that it grew uncontrollably. As for why specifically a Hedgehog? Probably because all hedgehogs in Sonic's world are super fast.
Interesting remix of the original fight. The music here is much more upbeat, im assuming because sonic is the one fighting it this time. Since the original song was much more darker, eerie and had meaning since shadow is the one that fights it, experiment vs. experiment. also, the song name is 'Support Me' likely because of the fact that the only thing keeping biolizard alive(and also in extreme pain) is his support system on his back. Though also it could go hand in hand with the fact that shadow was now trying to help sonic, and keep his promise to maria to save the world~
It's true the biolizard just wanted kindness from the beginning. She was created to help people!!! The lyrics here are her asking Shadow to kill her because no one was ever good to her because she was a reptile. She suffered so horribly and she dies one of the most agonizing deaths I've seen in a video game. It's truly sad. You can hear a deep stricken female reptilian sounding voice in the song... She wants to die. I wonder if she is an Homage to megalania. She looks like one and In real life that entire species was torturously burned to death by humans....
I actually played Generations 3DS before Adventure 2. Heck, I played Generations 3DS before Generations 360. By the time I got Gen3D, I had only played the first two, CD, Secret Rings, Zero Gravity, and Colors Wii. Many of the levels, including Mushroom Hill. Radical Highway, and Water Palace were entirely new to me, and nothing short of astounding. The bosses were also new, exciting, and unique, particularly Big Arm from Sonic 3. Flash forward eight years to today. I've played the original trilogy, CD, 3D Blast, Spinball, the Game Gear games, Adventure 1, Heroes, Unleashed, Colors Wii, both Generations games, Advance 1, Swcret Rings, Black Knight, Zero Gravity, Free Riders, 2006, Chaotix, All Stars Racing, Mania, and Forces. I've also beaten a good chunk of those games. My most recent pickup was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I had always seen it as that elusive "best 3D Sonic game", and getting my hands on it felt incredible. It lived up to that title. The speed sections were incredible, the mech sections were great, the treasure hunting stages were...there, and overall it was the best Sonic game ever released. When I got to the Biolizard, I had remembered the battle from Gen3D (the one in this video) and expected the battle to be similar. I proceeded to meet an Orange Coke grave.
This was such a high energy battle back in the old days, and it took me days and weeks to get through. The two litter river gaps and the size of the arena on the classic and gamecube versions really added a new level of concentration necessary for a successful battle. Now it seems like quite a pathetic match.
good for a nestaligic feeling. but defentally less difficult than the orginal (played this first then the orginal actually lol) {aka no river of deaths, very limited 3d movement and a straight line to the life support, while orginal has the river of death, more movement around and pretty random ways to the life support.} orginal was meant to be pretty hard as it was the final boss while this is a throwback to it. still pretty fun though.
Frontroxes Yeah i mean Shadow's The ULTIMATE F*CKING LIFEFORM BRUH! no seriously This Fight isn't bad at all i just think Shadow's more Fitting in this Fight
Sonic had to sit this one out before... So he really wouldn't remember what to do XD Besides, this is hella alot easier when you don't need to move in 3 dimensions to dodge and attack, on and that one part with the instakill water current being taken away.... :|
Flounder Fisherman Gerald Robotnik, Eggman's Grandfather, attempted to make a perfect life form that couldn't "break" in any sense to help mankind. The Biolizard was a prototype, and Shadow was the completed version.
Better question: how do you go from a big ass orange lizard to an emo black hedgehog the size of sonic? Like I know it was a prototype, but that's a huge change.
I'm still wondering how immortality turned into a giant dino lizard thing, then later a hedgehog w/rocket kicks.( how does this thing walk around w/out rear legs?)
People hate the Generations boss fights because it's different than what they grew up with. I like them because, well, they're different. They bring new things into the battle to make it more interesting.
We missed out the opportunity to fight Biolizard in the console version of Generations and only the 3DS version. Now we get the chance to do it this time.
Well, this isn't the final boss I guess.. SO HE GOT NERFED!!! GO TO THAT CORNER WITH GRENINJA YOU AMPHIBIAN NOBODY LIKES YOU!!! (A Biolizard tear drops... 1 Like = 1 Extra Nerf)
In SA2, the purple orbs went faster and faster after every successful hit on the Biolizard. Like, at least up to twice as fast, maybe even to 3 times as fast. Plus, dodging them was harder because there wasn't a duck button and they weren't on a 2D plane like they are here
It depends, if it's something like Mario (which I like, but I don't LOVE) I don't really care but if it's something thats very dear to my heart, (basically this.) I care.
the GameCube version is so hard!!! like when I saw this boss level fight come out I was like nope nope not going through that rage against -after beating bio lizard- it would've of been a bit more fun with a little more difficulty level
Sonic Generations is a more casual game and has to contain easier bossfights like this to a casual player. I love The Biolizard here, and his remix is amazing too
0:40 I believe in my future. Farewell to the shadows. It was my place to live, but now I need your hand. lead me out with your light. I have breathed in the disgusting air of darkness but I never lose out
The unique levels and bosses the 3DS versions had should have just all been for the console versions. Would've truly been a love letter to the series with more content. That, and made Shadow playable for this fight like the original.
ok here's one, the form of time travel open an alternative dimension and sonic is going through memories of past places so they have no actual effect on their own universe, i think theres something there
I feel like I'm really late to this but after reading the comments I do have some agreements with it being easier only because I'm bad at video games. Besides isn't this battle supposed to bring back the memories of the old game. I'm not going to lie I am very salty that Shadow isn't battling the biolizard but then again I'm salty about the roar change. If I some how offended you with this comment I'm sorry I had no intention of doing so. I find both battles nostalgic and in their own ways amazing. The music is great and although in SA2 there was more feeling put into the biolizard battle this one is equally as good. The whole battle overall is a great reminder of how Sega refuses to put In another gosh dang Chao garden in their games.
It is, but to be fair this boss is halfway through the game on 3DS whereas it's the penultimate boss on SA2, so of course they would make it easier here.
Shadow faught the Biolizard in adventure 2. In generations, Sonic got sent back in time and now has to fight the biolizard. But now Sonic killed the Biolizard here, instead of Shadow who only KO'd it for a few seconds. This means that Sonic and Shadow never had to fight the Final Hazard so Shadow never fell back to Earth, so he never lost his memory. So in Shadow the Hedgehog, Shadow never needed to listen to black doom, so the events of that game never happend. We have a time parodox.
has anyone ever thought that Eggman might have made some invention that just backfired before sonic even got within 100 miles of it and like, caused some weirdo portal to open up and cast all of the memories that sonic (And shadow as you can see) had from the past? And in the end, Eggman just got stuck in the place because he couldn't get out in time? It's a lot easier than trying to explain timelines...
Think Modern Eggman was remembering a plan when he first came up with it? No, to him it was an entirely new plan. Thus Classic Eggman forgetting it would cause him to not remember he came up with this plan and, in turn, think it's new and do it again.
