Fun fact: Electric shocks, apart from the physical toll, can permanently damage your brain leading to irreversible behavioral changes like increased irritability, frustration, anger, impaired emotional control, and increased physical aggression, among other things. Repeated shocking exacerbates these effects. Anakin Skywalker, the human lightning rod, has been shocked 30 or 31 times when you count all sources. Make of that what you will.
Noel Heeter well he's around 20ish years older than anakin who is in his early 20s, so obi wan i assume is in his mid 40s in the clone wars, (also anakin meant it as a joke)
@@spidatron he was 25 in the first movie, while Anakin was 9, in the second, which happenes 10 years later Obi wan is 35 and Anakin 19,and in the last movie, which happens 3 years later Anakin was 22 and Obi wan 38. I really don't know if the clone wars lasted 2 or 3 years, but Obi wan couldn't have been older than that during the prequels. Now taking in account that this series take place between the 2nd and 3rd movie he must've been between 35 and 38 years old, however as this is season 4 I'd say that he was more or less 36,maybe 37. I hope this helped 😊
• duel with Dooku (Episode 2) • Electrocuted by Hondo as a prisoner, with Obi-wan • Electrocuted when bounty hunters lead by Cad Bane infiltrated the Senate Building • Electrocuted in the citadel, when he was stuck to the ceiling • Electrocuted by Riff Tampson's eels as torture • Electrocuted by a magnaguard in a duel with Dooku (Season 4, the gungan episode) • Electrocuted AGAIN by all 4 magna guards in the same duel • Electrocuted AGAIN when Dooku force chokes him, and then shocks him • Electrocuted FUCKING AGAIN in that same episode when Dooku orders his guards to electrocute him • Electrocuted by a bunch of slavers when he tries to free Obi-Wan • Electrocuted by Dooku when he beats Anakin in a duel (All Anakin had was a whip) • Electrocuted by Derrown, the bounty hunter • Electrocuted by a Magna guard in ANOTHER Duel with Dooku. (chancellor being kidnapped episode) • Electrocuted AGAIN in that duel when Anakin chokes Dooku on the stairs • Electrocuted by Admiral Trench shortly before Anakin stabs him (clone wars legacy) Other than his death, that is 15 times he was electrocuted. Poor dude.
I love how everyone here is like "god Obi-Wan is so weak it took 6 whips to bring Anakin down" like please, go watch the episode, because Obi-Wan got like 30 of those whips just before he was brought into the courtyard...jfc Obi-Wan is in no condition to be fighting...
Anakin was injured by an explosion in Season 1 and then took on an entire contingent of Separatist droids (along with a super tank) a few days later. Obi-Wan has no excuse. Anakin > Obi-Wan
oh the irony. here is anakin skywalker, the chosen one. supposed to be one of the greatest jedi of all time. and he gets subdued by slavers...the one thing in the galaxy he hated more than tusken raiders. lol
22 Years Later Luke: "R2, I have this really awesome and efficient rescue planned, but if I have my lightsaber on me then there'll be no tension when I have to fight a rancor to the death as part of a convoluted feint. And my shiny new black robes don't have pockets either. Do you have any idea how the ancient Jedi smuggled their lightsabers when going undercover?"
For all those who are saying Obi Wan and Rex are weaker than Anikan should realize that Obi Wan and Rex were both enslaved and tortured before this... they were "low" on extra strength
Rex wasn’t tortured but do people expect Rex to be able to handle that? He’s still a human, he just fell from a high surface and the impact was pretty hard on him, he should be dead from that far or at least very injured, but he was able to take it like a champ, the electricity just made it worse.
2:52 this is a precious moment, when Anakin has the high ground. But he lost anyway. It is proof that Obi-Wan is the only one who can master this ability
I feel like Ashley Eckstein is probably tired of doing the little-yell-after-being-electrocuted sound. She got KO-ed 17 times throughout the series. 18 of counting Rebels
And Matt Lanter is not? Lmao, poor Anakin is even more of a lightning rod than Ahsoka, counting all the material, he gets shocked 30 or 31 times in total.
@@jiipeehomo2249 Ahsoka had a shock collar on her. As fucked up as it is, it's only natural that the queen would want a convenient way to make her personal slave behave.
I know it’s a joke but just imagine he did do that like the Mortis episode. He’s getting angry and just force chokes every single one of the slavers in the air
1:33 I liked how the payed tribute to Return of the Jedi by all of the heroes nodding and Anakin saluted to R2 like how his son and his friends will do in 25 years. Like they always say, “Like father, like son.”
Savage Oppress: So I’ve heard you have a knack for getting electrocuted... Anakin: Same with you. ITS LIKE THEY KEEP SPAMMING IT! I’m gonna be in suit of armor of this keeps up...
I feel like the scene should have ended with anakin yeeting all of the slavers in a force repulse kind of way after giving in to his rage. Maybe he could have fainted afterwards so the result would be the same. I feel like it would have been one of those moments showing his true strenght but also the fine line he walked between the light and the dark. Especially considering his past with slavers.
I love this story arc because 1. They are actually successfully breaking Obi-wan of all people. And 2. This was the story arc Anakin's resemblance to Vader starts to show more in this series. Also, I love how the beginning is a reference to Return of the Jedi. R2 carrying the lightsabers, the female (Ahsoka) in a... unique outfit, and 1:47.
The reason Anakin is so determined is not just because he was a Jedi, but also because he used to be a slave. He KNEW what it was like and was literally fighting for his life.
Oh that reminds me! Can you do the scene where Anakin Force crushes the holo communicator out of Obi-Wan's hand after he sees the Zygerrian when their investigating the missing Tortugas?
+Pvt. Church No problem, I am glad you enjoy them. ^.^ There's a video you asked for. :-) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hV6YJau5xTA.html
Everything is...except the outcome...yeah, shit didn't go so well here. They even have a 16 year old Ahsoka in the Leia-esque outfit, though fair to say considerably less voyeuristic.
have you lost your mind? first, she's a slaver.... and you know anakin's history. second, anakin has padme. in what world could you possibly imagine this being a good trade? delete your comment.
"This series is where most of my love of the prequels comes from" is the realization I came to after the rewatching of the Star Wars movies for the force awakens
I love the reference to Return of the Jedi. Anakin is Luke Obi-Wan is Han Rex is Lando Ahsoka is Leia. It's not like directly in your face but it's still a nice reference showing how alike to his father Luke would grow up to be. I can imagine Obi-Wan watching the sail barge battle as a force ghost like "There's something very familiar about all this."
This is why Anakin is loved unlike rey as “Powerful” as he is and the potential for power he has he isn’t perfect and can still be defeated, 10/10 rey would have pulled some bs to get out of that arena without being captured
No she's been captured and most importantly isn't a mary sue the only reason anakin and kylo make mistake is because the battles are always grit vs natural ability. For example kenobi beats anakin with pure grit like rey does with Ben. And the last times its the other way around.
Omarion Grandy except the problem here is 1. they are out numbered 2. They are using whips which I don’t remember the name but in the aftermath books it is capable of killing wookies instantly on the highest setting and unlike blasters they aren’t universally common except with slavers 3. Obi wan which mace has stated is THE master of soresu which is the defensive form of lightsaber combat didn’t stand a chance 4. Rey is just plot armor on legs
and thats a problem with SW and pretty much every fictional universe where you have empowered characters. When it serves the story a trained Jedi/Sith can take on dozens of enemies but when you want to take the story elsewhere they have to loose. not a big deal when it comes to the bigger picture, but you can never accurately say what a force wielder can actually do
I agree with you 100%. Really annoying when the power levels fluctuate to fit plot. Two shows I think did this really well are Preacher and Legion. With good writing, you can explain why in some circumstances characters win, adn win others why these lose and these shows nail it more often than not. Worth a look
@@Gadget-Walkmen - They set unrealistically high standards for an extremely powerful Jedi (Anakin), but they didn't allow him to have any emotional attachments or outlet to overcome his oppressed past. With all of these feelings together, Anakin turned to the dark side because the Jedi didn't let him go to therapy after witnessing innumerable traumatic events (his mother dying in his arms, war, being separated from all his friends and family, etc.) Palatine exploited this weakness and proved the Jedi wrong. As one wise man put it: "The star wars prequels are the story of an arrogant religion which gets a hold of the Messiah, and accidentally hands him over to the Devil."
@@josephb.4640 I mean I wouldn’t call them stupid at all just because they mistreated anakin tho. He couldn’t meet their expectations and they didn’t know how to tell with emotions/trauma like normal people do because it’s against their values and teachings.
They also had a lot of arrogance, and became more interested in politics and war than in their teachings. Ahsoka’s arc in Season 5 highlighted that really well. A lot of Jedi left the order, some of them even turning turning to the dark side, not because they wanted to be evil, but because they couldn’t stay with the order anymore.
Past Life Pro UNDERTALE IS TAKING OVER! Quick! TAKE COVER! Actually i do like undertale, im just scared of the fandom..., I MEAN THEY SHIP SANS WITH SANS!!, they ruined the game...
I feel bad for the Zygerrian Queen, even after Anakin threatened to kill her she still showed mercy for him because she had feelings for him. She was willing to help Anakins friends but she didn't want to lose him. Her fantasy for Anakin and her to be together while he's at her servitude was what she wanted. Unfortunately she was just a slave herself to the sith and she died in the arms of Anakin. RIP
TCW will always be better than Rebels. Rebels isn't horrible just that some of the animation for the characters isn't so highly displayed as it was for TCW and the action could be a bit better but I have to admit that I've seen outstanding episodes in Rebels. I wish Disney would have taken the same exact prototype TCW had.
I think Anakin just loves to get electrocuted. I mean he gets electrocuted so often that he develop a resilience to electricity. I mean 6 electric ropes and cannot pass out while Obi-Wan needed 2 and just one for Ahsoka.
Spooder Mon Her short blade. Hans, look closely, the hilt is her shoto's. The little things near the emitter of her long hilt is not there. Just a continuity error
+Spooder Mon I really don't think you understand what Galen Marek is saying. Firstly, a shoto is a shorter lightsaber, both by the hilt and by the blade often duel wielded as an offhand weapon. It's inspired from the samurai sword of the same name. Secondly, he didn't imply that the blade retracted back into the hilt, but rather that the hilt itself that was dropped was shorter then the one she was wielding before. And OT, yes Galen, seems like an error by the animation team.
Is there *any* reason Anakin didn't just force back everyone with the whips like Savage Oppress did with the droids? Any at all? These are supposedly the single most hated group in Anakin's books, so why does he not go all out here?
Wrong, the dark side is fueled by pain and suffering so it you strengthen the connection for Anakin, it is because he is aware that very one would know of his of dark side abilities.
Jedi are forbidden to use Offensive Force Abilities, remember Yoda saying "Jedi uses Force to defence, never to attack" ? yeah it's dumb, but thats the Jedi code, if Vader was here, he would just kill everyone with Force Pushes, Crushes and Chokes, but becouse he is a Jedi he can't do that
That slave outfit of hers pretty much started my puberty. Still remember when the episode first aired in 2011. I literally couldn't take my eyes off her. And even before the episode my friends and I knew that she would be wearing that outfit for at least one episode through the force attack cards that came out back in the day for clone wars. Spoiled us not only slave ahsoka it showed us mauls cyborg look as well. Damn we where excited.
Man, Anakin must have had some sort of experience with those whips as a child because what took only one or two hits, took 6 or 7 on him. He also was still moving even under the whips unlike Obi-wan and Cody who were both still out from the whips.
This episode is actually a little more tragic than you think….. anakin said as a boy that he would free all the slaves. The queen taught him a lesson, that no one has control over their fate, they’re always a slave to something. When anakin falls to the dark side, it’s as if he has broke free of the Jedi order that was enslaving him to their code, falsely believing that he was finally free only to truly become that he strove to free…. A slave to the dark side, his new master, and his emotions.
Everyone Is pissed because in this show Grievous Is beaten by an entire army of gungans. In this clip Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and Rex are bested by a bunch of ugly Cats with whips. The same guys accused to have a lot of "plot armor" 'cause they're the main carachters of the show. This show Is good because sometimes even the best fighters loose.
The problem is that grievous doesn't win a single time and is handled as a joke through the entire series. Clone Wars was a good show but don't act like it stands above criticism.
Would’ve been funny for Ahsoka to take of the electric choker and put it on the queen without her noticing and when she tries to electrocute Ahsoka the queen gets electrocuted instead.
i love how they brought light whips to the show. dont really like how their all one color but seeing as their all made by the one culture i can see why they would be
