I love how she immediately gets the problem of Colonel O'Neill enjoying this.

i love how this part of the episode was both a jab at the show series/ scifi action genre and an easy way to include o'neill into the episode without him actually having to be there (his time off from the show for family)

As a teenager I thought this was a recap of a real episode and went season by season hunting for it.

When Jack is speaking, even invisible, I can imagine the facial expressions he's making. Those are some good acting chops.

Time for the rest of the SG-1 team to wear thermal imaging goggles. They could at least see his footprints if nothing else. And maybe arm themselves with paintguns. Or squirt pistols full of perfume.

The funny thing is that this plot line is actually used several times in the show when ever they are "phased", Plus Urgo. So this one is technically a lampoon of not only a generic scifi trope, but a lampoon of how THEY themselves used this exact gag several times in the course of the show.

This is a great scene. I would like to recommend, though, that you take the letter a out of the word invisible - in your title.

this show grew into somthing amazing over the years of its run

this was by far the best gag of the entire franchise

I loved how this episode was presented as though it were a clip show, and yet none of the scenes shown were clips from any previous episodes.

There is a theory that invisibility will cause blindness depending on method of light manipulation. If light is bent around the person, the light never reaches the eyes.

If I recall correctly, they started the episode off making it seem like they had been forced to shoot the episode without Richard Dean Anderson. Then Jack is invisible and it seems like they are just going to talk to empty space. Then he spoke and I was wondering of they had just repurposed recorded dialog. But then it became clear he had actually recorded new dialog. He finally appeared in human (non-marionette) form near the end of the episode. They were just joking around TV and screen writing tropes throughout the episode. It was truly brilliant.

So I'd gone to visit the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C. while on vacation and gotten these sunglasses with a black plastic mustache hanging from the lenses via a couple of chains as a souvenir. I got back from vacation and where I worked at the time had a guard gate, so I put on the sunglasses with the black plastic mustache hanging below my nose and went through the gate. That got a good chuckle out of the gate guard.

I think that he would eventually go nuts like Chevy Chase did in Memoirs of an Invisible Man. How can you sleep when you can see through your eyelids?
