Worked perfect , mine has been spinning and making noise for ever , now every start is perfect , springs were week , stretched them out a bit and boom all fixed and it only took me 20 minutes . Thanks again , i thought the starter was the issue ......
Good video! I have a Kazuma full size 110cc that I am trying to get it to shift easier.....mine has the 4 bolt cover on right hand side of engine where most the clutch adjustment is on outside of engine.
Just replaced my startor on my tao tao 110cc and now it makes a grinding noise really loud you think this will be the issue thank you for the tutorial videos
Iv had to replace my flywheel because of some springs where missing from someone messing replaced that but the shaft doesn't spin? Starter turns as does both starter sprockets, does the lower sprocket bike/link into the shaft?
My kids apollo quad, same thing but the big gear popped right off the fly wheel so I'm trying to take it off and I might just tac weld it. Just need a puller
I think this is exactly what I needed to see. I know this might be a little too late as this video is two years old but Is the fly wheel chain to the starter real tight?
Estes Landscaping It was tight for sure. Haha that was my first thought too. Or that I sheeted a tooth on the starter haha. The fly wheel simply wasn’t gripping tight enough on the shaft for it to turn it over. Thanks for the thought though! Glad I was able to help!
Bobymickzouskins - hypixel skywars and pvp I applied pressure behind the fly wheel with a pry bar and with the nut on enough to protect the threads of the shaft I hit the shaft with a mallet. A couple of good whacks and it slid right off. Hope that helps
Im in same situation ..Do i buy a new flwheel it comes with the new clutch...i looked all over parts kit is my main source..Thankx for the video! I gota pull mine apart and hope i can do this...
Kari Mullen that’s what mine was doing too. It would make a grinding noise then just spin and not catch or turn the engine over at all. It’s possible that you are running into this issue. 3 in 6 month is s lot wow! I wonder if there is maybe a leak or a gap in the gasket of the side casing.. maybe dirt or something keeps getting in and jamming up the bearings?
We haven’t tried this yet, but when we ordered one it stated it was 22mm center home, when actually measured it was 21.88... it wasn’t fitting like it should
Kari Mullen that really sucks! You might be able to hone it out. Some garages have the tools to hone or bore it out that extra .12mm. I hope you are able to get it! You could also maaaybe try getting some dry ice... if you burry the shaft in dry ice it might “might” contract the meter enough to get the fly wheel on before it re-expands. Hope it helps :)
Mine sounds like the starter wants to explode lmao 🤣 just installed days ago new... damnit 😫 so is there a better flywheel??? Like a mild performance that won't have this issue????
BEJKxxx to get the fly wheel off? I used a pry bar around the edge and tapped it alternating sides. You can get actual fly wheel pullers but I went low tech hehe. It can take some time. I would also suggest spraying in some penetrating oil of some kind. Hope it helps. Thanks for watching and good luck!
Hi man i beg you to help me, i have a chinese atv, it has no gears and no reverse just forward. The problem is that when it's off and i try to move the quad around the rear tires won't turn they drag around. Now i can't start it cause the starter has a hard time turning the engine over. Thanks in advance
It sounds to me like the clutch won’t disengage. There might not be much I could do to help. The clutch is inside the engine housing usually. Do you find that when you do get it started it wants to just take right off? That would be another sign it’s the clutch. If not the clutch it could be the rear break calliper stuck on. Hope this helps
+GT GoQ sounds like the idol is turned up too high. Make sure the throttle is going back all the way and that the line isn’t seized. Also look on your carb. There should be a flat head screw on the right side turning it counter clockwise will turn the idol down. Hope that’s helpful. Cheers
@@gtgoq8229 I'm having the same problem and starting to hate this damn thing-- I've had the stator cover off about 20 times-- it wants to start and goes 'putt putt putt' but never actually goes. My chain seems pretty tight too. Wonder if you will see this and if you got yours going....
@@wandajames6234 If you ve adjusted the idle and it still doesn’t work, check if your valves are in line. It’s common problem on those bikes. Your battery also has to be close to 13v. Those were usually mines problems
