The thing that you guys seem to forget, is that Steam is a global business, serving customers throughout the world. The reason the game was flagged as CP, isn't because it's considered CP in the US (I have no idea, couldn't say), but because the game would be flagged as CP in certain other countries (like Norway), so instead of Steam hiring legislational experts for every country they are selling games to (basically all of them), it's just easier to do a blanket ban, like this. It'd be different if games like these made huge sales, but they don't. They're an extreme nichè and so Valve isn't going to waste money to make sure the game's don't get them in legal trouble. Since Steam is the distributing platform, responsibility of what's sold ultimately falls on them. Juice ain't worth the squeece, is the case here.

What happens to fictional characters, drawn, or portrayed by real actors, can not be punishable by law. And yes there are certain exceptions to that when it deals with real actors, but that's not the case here.

So, can the above game constitute CP in SOME of the countries Steam sell to? Yes, yes it can, and that's the issue and why Steam banned it. Had 'Mocha' been a tertiary character, one that's not really displayed much\at all in the promotional material, it's more likely Steam would've let it slide. But it's a prominent character featured everywhere, which means it'd be easy for busy-bodies that do not even play the game, to point to it. This is\was the real issue.

That's expensive, and so why should Steam forward that cost, for a market that makes practically nothing? Cheaper, easier and better (from their perspective) to just ban all of it. Which is why they do. -- Also a minor add; Steam doesn't sell Steamdeck to Norway (or Switzerland), in part due to this. They are EEA countries not EU countries. Which require different legislation concerns (and also import\shipping concerns), which means; additional costs for minor benefit, and overall, just hasn't been worth it.

Mango Party and Kagura Games are two publishers whose games have "defeat", tentacles and other non-mainstream elements. Obviously, they're no DLSite when it comes to the anime-H genre, but there are still a good number of games on the marketplace. Hell, Illusion Soft's Koikatsu Party is on Steam and it's a dress-up/sex simulator and it's set in the high school. I am not saying Steam isn't guilty of hypocrisy, just that it's not anime targeted this time.

They life is full of media with fictional characters and no real people and no real relationships. Terminally online. It's like with people who have no problems IRL that look for the slightest thing to be mad about, these people have no real life relationships and problems with real people in their lives, so they use fictional characters as a surrogate. Okay, that sounds like a biiiiig stretch. Also sounds like a nothing burger. There can be many reasons for limiting the height in the character customization: it might have something actually relevant and related gameplay (as I understand in DD character size actually changes things like hitboxes and hurtboxes), or it could be as stupid and simple as a designer giving some arbitrary numbers to set as limits in character creation and just moving on to more to more important subjects without thinking too much of it. To immediately jump to the conclusion it has something to do with them not wanting to create "lolis" is pretty extreme. Do you have any actual evidence this is why they are doing it?
