@@TheRoommatesPodcast hey...just a suggestion...I think this will help you in many ways but I suggest you guys read and discuss these books... it correlates with much of what Stephan talks about, in my opinion, but if you want, check out these 2 books "Understanding the Power And Purpose of Men" also "Understanding the Power And Purpose of Women" both written by Dr. Myles Munroe. Great, transformative book and it, just like the advice Stephan gives in my opinion of course,.... I think your audience would be truly blessed by you all reading, sharing and discussing both books. Much love, peace, respect and prosperity to you all. God bless.

Noe'l Shaefon TV it’s crazy. We must train ourselves to understand the difference between holding ourselves accountable, taking lessons, moving forward and beating ourselves up, staying in that emotional prison. There’s a difference between 2. I always say to myself, when I do something messed up, “God already forgave you and you not gonna forgive yourself? Who do you think you are?” Then burst into tears bevasue I know that’s him talking to me through me.

Ghosting has a lot to do with someone’s comfort level and how they deal with their emotions, A lot of people anticipate that talking about how they feel is going to be a confrontation. That mental expectation makes people want to avoid things that make them uncomfortable. ghosting actually reveals more about the personality of the ghostier than the ghostee. They’re dealing with depression or trauma.depressed people will just withdraw from everybody in their lives, without giving you head ups- I’m proud of your boldness- Sholom

Personally, silence (not this trendy word of “ghosting”) is a powerful statement. It doesn’t always mean that the silent person is depressed or always dealing with trauma although that may also be true. Sometimes, it may be because the other party is not getting the message and going off in their own world and not listening; and sometimes, it is because the other party is not ready and cannot seem to accept the message. So it leaves the person unable to say anymore because talking isn’t solving the problem. It’s not anyone’s responsibility to heal other people’s issues but be responsible for our own forgiveness. I see us all blaming others for an expectation that was never supposed to be met by another. That is dangerous and arrogant on our part. I hope we all gain peace ourselves internally, never based on any external means.... 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

It's actually saying it voluntarily and from the gut. Because many times things we utter by mouth doesn't get below the neck and that doesn't do the job. So it has to come from the gut, or heart or soul or body whatever you want to call it. For it to work, we also need to have distinction, like discussed in the conversation, distinctions that to be forgiven we have forgive, also forgive ourselves, also know that we can do our part of the work, but cannot change heart of others and so on. I think, those distinctions, which is knowledge combined with act of forgiveness by utterance and feeling in a body will resolve the problem and bring up healing.

When Stephan mentioned that sometimes rejection is what's going to lead you to where you're truly meant to be is what stood up the most to me. I've been having a hard time believing those words, because sometimes it feels as if you're getting rejected over and over and over again, no matter how much you pour into a project, relationship or anything else. It gets quite frustrating over time, but no matter how hard it feels, giving up should never be an option. It feels as if you're wasting your energy when you keep going, but faith is what should fuel us. I won't deny how hard it is for me to maintain that mentality, but I'll never know how that could lead me to beautiful things if I just drop everything. I hope you guys have an amazing day! And never give up. Please, never give up! ^^ #FreeGift

The whole episode is what I needed to hear. I was in a 4yr relationship that was beyond toxic. We really lost who we were and transformed into people we hated. Eventually we got to a point where we broke it off. Long story short I did like any man did and tried to get back into the game. Sliding in DMs and everything.... but God wasnt having it. So I did something I had never done and I took the time to heal. I took a solid year and a half to not date, entertain or do anything. Really focus on what I like, dont like and my relationship with God. It was the best thing I had done. I started to feed myself differently by listening to a lot of TD Jake's, Devon Franklin, Myles Munroe, the Roommates and Stephan Labossiere. You change the way you think, you can change your life. Now I'm more happier than I ever have been. I wouldnt trade that time I had to really heal and get MYSELF back for anything. Definetly changed my mindset.Stephan's emphasis on forgiving people who hurt you and also yourself is life changing. Its so much easier to hang on to hurt than to actually move past it.There are always lessons be learnt and we are so hard on ourselves. Also his point on as much as we have been hurt at some point in our lives we have also hurt someone. So looking at hurt caused by others from that perspective enables us to move forward from a place of compassion. Its amazing how heartbreak changes you even with that change there is a choice..Its easier to choose to be bitter than to actually work towards being better and choosing better. #freegift

So true. I think I have been completely damaged. Every time I feel like I have healed and I encounter conflict, a breakup, rejection or have to walk away from someone that I had hopes for, I get triggered and become discouraged. So, right now, I am on a journey of healing and receiving love from myself. I also feel like I have issues relating to negative harsh people as a whole. I try not to take what they say personally, some days I do good, and other days, I have zero tolerance. I am in counseling for PTSD, Social Anxiety and Depression due to abuse, bullying, a horrible divorce and job harassment. I believe that I am a beautiful person inside and out with a lot of skills and talent, who is kind and attractive, but the majority of men that I have want quick sex, which is a turn off to me, so I end up having to implement the process of elimination, to protect my wellbeing. Merci Becoup Stephan Labossiere. :-)

What stood out to me the most was the fact Hafeez and Stephan both were vulnerable with each other, which you don’t see much in this world. Hafeez I really want to encourage you, you are a great man of God and I see the spirit of God in you. Hafeez just let God clear your past and enjoy the process of growth, I believe God will bless the roommates podcast and provide a multitude of favor and growth in due time , just keeping placing good seed on fertile ground. This episode has been a huge blessing to us and keep letting God use the roommates podcast to spread love and healing 😊 #freegift

What stood out to me the most was how we really allow others to have such a negative impact on the way we view ourselves. I’ve been listening to you guys for a while now. And I can honestly say Stephan is the most informative, down to earth person that’s been on the show. And don’t worry about those people who don’t see the potential that your podcast have, the time will come when it’s right. I’ve also learned that I have to forgive others for the hurt that they have caused me in order to forgive myself. These are honest words and I wish both of you brother the best of Luck! #freegift

43:12 "I'm trying to get better". I feel that to my very core and I am on the same level with you in regards to having hurt someone that had a sensitive issue which made it extra difficult for them to forgive you. They never did forgive but I'm telling you bro you have to learn to forgive yourself. You will thank yourself for letting go of what happened and allow yourself to be at peace. A very important message for everyone that's out there suffering. Thanks for opening up man it's a very difficult thing for some of us to do.

This was a great segment. Collaborating together I think they brought many common concerns to light. The aspect of forgiveness hit home for me lol. I don't necessarily struggle with forgiving someone its more forgiveness within myself. I live in my personal truth and not afraid to give my honest opinion/ or my raw truth. Not gonna lie this came right on time lol dealing with the aftermath of an breakup and its exhausting I'm reading Stephan and Pastor R.C Blake's books as I write this but.....him stating the fact in order for me to fully let go I have to not only forgive those who hurt me but forgive myself as well. Living in limbo not a great feeling just as Hafeez mentioned I personally like suffer from just the thought that I have inflicted hurt/ pain upon someone else. But their breakdown points were wonderful. * I have to let go. Can't change the past holding on plants me to my past * Forgive. To give and be forgiven with myself * State of hurt/ pain. In order to avoid another failed situation, relationship, etc I personally need to re-center and just heal allowing that time for God to work on me. Rebuilding internally deep not just surface. Yessssssah!! Overall I love this segment it was enlightening and real. And I would love a copy of new book 😁 #Freegift

The thing that stood out the most to me was when Stephan said that Hafeez was praying everyday about the girl he thought was the one but he wasn’t asking God a question he was making a request. I know what that’s like! I was making a request to God myself about someone and realized I wasn’t asking the question so I let it go and stopped praying about it everyday and started to ask more direct questions. I still feel like God is answering me but it seems impossible what He is telling me. Obedience and waiting is what I feel like God is saying, this is so hard!!! #freegift

This was powerful.. thank you for sharing so openly and transparently. As a woman, I don't think I often get to see the other side of the hurt equation, often because there's no room given for it, or if it's displayed, it's quickly pushed away or men are scolded for displaying their feelings. One of the biggest take aways?? That if it doesn't fit, don't idealize to make it fit, and make sure that when praying about that relationship that you're actually asking God a question - First it opens you to receive an answer instead of an endorsement, and ensures that your not praying with an idol in your heart, and secondly, leave room and time to hear an answer vs. FOCUSING on the issue. #FreeGift

I just want to thank Hafiz for being vulnerable and sharing his story, it took a lot of courage. I can relate to a lot of it, especially self forgiveness. It’s easy for me to forgive others, it’s myself that I hold accountable and I’m not so gentle with. For me as a woman it also reminds me that both men and women have the same issue, it all boils down to worthiness. A lot of great information. I have read several of Stephan Labossiere’s books and even taken an online class but I’m especially excited to get my hands on this next one!!

I give Hafeez kudos for being so transparent. Listening to his stories helped me see that men are equally crazy for love as women. There is a prevailing misconception that men don't give a fuck. And the fact that he did tells me that we (men and women) are more alike than we imagine. #freegift

Thank you for making space for such an open and vulnerable conversation. For me, I saw myself in getting fixated onto something or someone and subsequently feeling unworthy of their or mine love. Because if this person who I value and care for so much does not seem to have the same feelings, that must mean I am not worthy of them. It would make me suffer and that in turn would make me long for this approval and love even more. I realize that a person should not substitute me, but rather complement me and journey with me to improvement and mutual kindness. In order to be with someone who can do that, I first and foremost have to be in line with my beliefs, respect myself and improve for myself. #freegift
