Jalen Brunson is an All-Star in the league based on his footwork and skills -- he isn't much of an athlete. Bird won the 3-point shooting contest 3 years in a row -- he would be putting up 10 or 12 of them a game in this league. He would have an easier time scoring in the current NBA.

The NBA doesn't like defense anymore. His stats are inflated. It's pretty easy to average 30pts when the entire game is pushing offense more than ever.
Like it or not, Luka and Jokic will dominate in NBA for years. Their basketball IQ, offensive abilites and controlling the game is just so powerful and can't be stopped.

A bunch of "NBA Analyst" were saying that Luka was not good enough for the league, that he was not explosive, that he was slow, not athletic enough, a future bench warmer, not a future All-Star, overrated, not special and that DeAndre Ayton was going to be the superior rookie and player that season... From the very beginning ESPN and others shown a disposition to belittle Luka, a guy that was playing against men's in Europe being a child, and not only playing good, he won the ACB Best Young Player Award and EuroLeague MVP, only a moron could come out with that criteria about a young player that got that type of achievements at such a young age...
Luka Donćic is easily a top 10 player in the NBA and he plays better in the playoffs. The dude is averaging damn near close to 40 points in elimination games

I am from Croatia near border with Serbia. From my house I have as "neighbours" Cro Cop 25km, Jokic, 40 km in Serbia, Vida, passed Sinisa Mihajlovic 10 km and many more sports succesful guys. Imagine being around this type of people. Kids are going to look upon them and try to do same. Region did not see war for 30+ years. Life is getting better and better here. Counting all former Yugoslavia countries. Serbia for example is now good in basketball, tennis, football, waterpolo. Same goes for Croatia. Croatia Foorbal bronze medal and waterpolo gold medal. Everyone play multiple sports here. From karate, to chess. I tell you in the next 5 to 10 years you will have even more great sportsman in sports. Jokic and Doncic are just start of new modern sports in the region.

Stephen A. Smith infamously told the Suns to draft Ayton -- not Luka. Why he is giving draft advice -- have no idea but he must feel like a fool. He lashes out. Both guys drafted before Luka have not worked out -- and Marvin is now stuck on the Wizards, Ayton on the Blazers. G League teams. The surprising thing was that Vlade Divac, a Serbian who knows European basketball, was not smart enough to draft Luka for the Kings. That was baffling. Vlade was a terrible GM but that was the final goof.
Sadly, until luka wins something in the NBA he will always be looked as just good. He needs to win an MVP title and get himself a ring before its too late
I think Luka would be a great fit for one of the faces of the league once the old guard retires. He's young but already a super star player and has a fun personality. It's ridiculous that the talking heads have such an apparent agenda against him.
