Most people that didn't grow up in Texas in the 1980s hadn't heard of Stevie Ray Vaughan yet. That's okay though because you know about him now. 😉👍🏻

If you were just listening and not seeing, you'd never know anything happened...SRV was the GOAT...

Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Texas Flood" Live at the El Mocambo is one of the greatest blues guitar performances ever recorded. It's like a 9 minute master solo. Another jaw-dropper is Jeff Healey doing 'See The Light' - Night Music 1988. He's been blind since he was 2, and plays the guitar in his lap, and fingers the frets from above. You have to see it to believe it.

I'm a huge SRV fan...loved your reaction! We only had Stevie Ray around 7yrs. He was tragically killed in a helicopter crash August 27, 1990. We can only imagine all of the "eargasms" that we were unable to hear. But thankfully we have people like you & RU-vid to keep his Amazing music alive ~RIP: Stevie Ray U R Missed 💔🤘🔥🎶

Stevie Ray Vaughan was a great blues player and played with all the greats like B.B. King, Johnny Copeland Albert King and Albert King was actually Stevie Ray's godfather. Eric Clapton said he was playing at a show and Stevie Ray played before Clapton, when Stevie Ray was done Clapton said you expect me to go on after that? I have to meet this guy. Stevie Ray was inducted into The Austin Music Hall Of Fame in 1982, Blues Hall Of Fame, he won 6 Grammys, 5 W.C.Handy Awards, Entertainer Of The Year. Instermental Of The Year and was inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2015, he was nominated for 51 Awards and won 21. It's hard to believe after all that he only had one #1 hit with Crossfire, written by Double Trouble.

My ex my ex was nuts about Stevie and practiced playing his songs . That’s was when Stevie was alive. He’s got a live one at El Machamba you really really have to see. His band helicopter crashed leaving going to next show. I want to come and clean your room, that’s alright my sons looks like that too. 😄

This one of my favorite SRV songs. It doesn't show up in reviews much. Another favorite is Change it. I've only found the official video version of it, but song is sadly neglected. Everyone always points to Texas Flood but his catalog was so much more than that one song. This was an Austin City Limits appearance & it was awesome! I've seen him several times.

There are bridges you can put on a strat that stop it going 'badly' out of tune when a string breaks, but as far as I know Stevie was using a vintage bridge or at best just a standard strat bridge. You watch him closely there though, and he's bending notes all over the place, and appears to be staying in places where the tuning isn't so awful.

I’m betting he was pointing to his girlfriend Janna or maybe his family or a friend from his early days in Austin.
