Yeah buddy...those are the saws I started this whole rebuilding chainsaws wormhole with...a good muffler mod is a huge gain pull the carb limiters and send it😎🤙🏻💯
Most saw builder agree with opening up the restrictions in a muffler to increase Volumetric Efficiency's and to help the saw run cooler. TazMan, this education video was very informative and supports what other builders in our community have taught us, like IRONHORSE & Bellhopper:) Words of wisdom from great builders:) This community is always helping to educate its member and to help build other members channels. Heck yeah! Just did this on my MS291 video, it's like a different saw. Same thing on the limiters, If you have the metal ones you can recenter the tuning zone real easy with an allen wrench. Plastic ones just rip em out. West coast saw universal ports are real handy for this too. When you said "Hope this helps someone" It hit me, exact reason I started my channel, Great work.

That's awesome Taz much better. I have an old echo with a muffler similar to that one that I might try that on....Aaron doesn't like limiters either he fixed that on the echo he's working 🤣....
Nice ax brother! My first saw fix rebuild, hop up, was a 029 run but was scored to death..it was shott i completely re uilt it into a 039 pop up piston, mild port work and she pulls great with a 25" stihl bar, i got a carb kit and new piston i want to put in it..just csnt find the time
Lol 😂 no they don’t know what they’re doing. How can we choke this down more…. How can I make this even harder to disassemble, how many bad ideas can I fit into one product. Pretty sure it’s a game…. Who did the worst job. At least as a heavy equipment mechanic I see stupid everyday. But in order to keep this uplifting and kind thank you engineers for making me earn my income. As for TazMan rock on Buddy. Budget Build sounds good 👍. 🪚⛓️🌲🪵🪓
