I just report child abuse whenever I see a scam channel. I mean how many kids have fallen for those things? Great job RU-vid, you just fucked your own COPPA policy.
I forgot how many people haven't been scammed enough to know the signs. My family members still fall for them. I tell them to call me if they're ever in doubt, but sure enough, some eventually get through.
@@domi_wizza “Heeey, your favorite Nigerian prince 🤴 here, it looks like your car is broken down and you will have to pay an upfront price, at a discount! Save Nigeria 🇳🇬 today! Send 69k dollars” Those types of signs.
There was a newbie who saw my equipped Silverlight and wanted to buy it. I told him it's untradable so I'll just drop it and you drop the gold. When the gold appeared, I just picked it up and casually walk away. Then he followed me and telling me he wants it back. It was just 5k gold but it was all he's got. I felt bad but at the same time I was laughing. lmao EDIT: this was in 2005
I think I got scammed once, when I was like 7, but I guilted all of my items back. The second time I was skeptical and was only scammed of trash rare items. I have never been scammed since
The Bible says in John 3:16-36 that whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ shall not perish but have everlasting life, the Bible also says in Romans 10:9 that those who declare with their mouth that Jesus Christ is their God, Lord, and Savior they shall be saved. Revelation 1:8 says that Jesus is the alpha and the omega. Luke and revelation is the ending times, and Jesus is returning back. So are you going to submit your life to him or no? Narrow is the path that leads to the gates of heaven, but only few people find it. The gates that is the path to destruction is where many people find it! Jesus loves you SO MUCH! That he died on the cross, and was resurrected from the dead 3 days later to give us eternal life…!.!.
For those trying to scam him, I hope you realize that “per video basis” means about $50 per video. So you’re not getting the full $25k unless you unlock Pandora’s box somehow
@@justcuz8202 everyone is misinterpreting my comment. 1. It’s a very popular and old expression 2. I’m referring to how Charlie started this fun search challenge for his fans, but the sad result was people spamming him with scams
@@Random2960 There's a lot of people who are really bad off, though, and 25k is a pretty good chunk of money. Not saying it's right, but I do understand why some people might try to fake the vids
I honestly can’t believe there are people out there trying to scam Charlie of all people. I personally would offer to go through every single submission, make sure they seem legit, AND double his bitcoin, but I’d need a downpayment of 25k first.
@@TheGigaTop to sort his channel by “oldest” and give him the first video? Yeah, they definitely are. What did you do as a 15-year-old? It’s like you think they eat rocks or something XD
@@TheGigaTop bro wtf? theres literal 10-15 year olds that could take down literal governments from hacking. 15 is the age that if you started when you were 5-7 at something youd be worldclass at it.
Charlies chat looking out for him is pretty wholesome and sweet. They found a 200 viees video just to change his mind. Usually chats on twitch are degenerate losers but charlies chat is on another level
It just fucking sucks that out of the kindness of his heart, Charlie offers 25,000 dollars to find lost media he once owned. But people choose to compromise his generosity.
Should definitely be careful of the scammers, especially after seeing that clip from Twitch. someone could do a whole lotta work to make it seem legit so I hope he's making folks show their work very thoroughly. Congrats to the people who did find some real ones!
Damn, can't believe people tried to scam you. Scammers suck. Anyways, I can find ALL the videos AND quadruple your money, but you have to send the 25k first.
I'll do even better, If you send me the 25k first, not only will I find all the videos AND quadruple your money, I will also quadruple the amount of videos deleted.
@Melc Sv ah yes whats less sketchy then a white woman in a bikini saying shes a Japanese free sex livestream appreciation person with 1 million viewers? I think your bot broke g
@@HvacHeathen It is not he who holds authority, but that of the people that believe he does. It is a contract. You are what people see you as. Both parties have to be in agreement for this contract of authority to continue. This contract can be out of admiration, respect or plainly because people want to pretend. This is the way how contracts work. If you stopped thinking that x person held power, they'd hold no power. It's just psychological stuff. What I was saying here is that he is lucky to have such a loyal fan base and for him to hold such authority because of their following.
@@kukukachu “it’s not he whole walketh the bright righteousness path blah blah” nobody cares my guy if I offer everyone money they’ll look for my shit too gtfo
@@EatmyNut24 There are way too many bots here. My question is that why doesn’t RU-vid do anything about this? They can get rid of the Dislike counter but they can’t get rid of this.
Brothers I ask for a favour...join me in reporting as many bots as possible in the comments....our work might go unnoticed but we will protect the comment section from the shadows...let us purge the comments
@@shrummajor114 Getting rid of bots would require actual work, removing the dislike button was an easy to do thing that no one wanted and clearly aims to protect companies despite whatever justification they gave for it. Very naive of you to think that they're looking for ways to actually improve user experience.
Dude. I swear the internet has made so many people simply delusional. As if they subconsciously think their lies to themselves will everyone as well. Your're the shit dude. Love your content.
Its because its made media even more wide spread for drama news outlets and social media twist points of view/opinions and ideas, all that stuff so much its hard to find the truth in things.
The actual joy in Charlie's voice at that recovered montage video made me really happy. It actually makes me want to try finding some of his stuff when I was previously too intimidated to do so
it's definitely possible, had a similar experience looking for an ancient emulator everyone thought disappeared from existance but ended up finding it on an old archive site
Honestly, I’m so close to just abandoning RU-vid comments altogether. You get multiple bots commenting on every video and even commenting on bot videos. Add in the taco cat and the heat on my Paige crap posted every single video and it’s just ridiculous. Genuine comments are outnumbered by bots and trolls. Even small channels are getting swarmed by these bots.
Damn I felt bad for Charlie here. The way he lit up when he thought it's his video, to only be dissapointed afterwards made me sad. It's not just an ordinary scam that promises you money or shit like that, but it promised him something that's special to him. Anyone who tried to scam him, especially the last one, is a fucking piece of shit.
When it comes to solving internet crime the US is mega boomer about how to go about it so they avoid it and dont take it seriously since they all like 70+ year olds
they probably were one of the people who are hot on the trail for these videos who actually put the work into it and those scam channels were just a few videos he came across
I spent hours trying to find stuff that was no longer on RU-vid but alas, I feel the task is actually impossible. It makes it even harder not knowing the names of the older channels that Charlie used to have. Gotta love those people who put in the highest minimal effort possible.
@@RealBeanMan Yeah, I tried really hard lol. Also fuck these bots that have been running rampant on RU-vid the past month or so, it's really getting out of hand.
I am noticing you're giving the scammers a lot more specific details of the videos so that they could potentially make more convincing fakes going forward. Might be a good idea to not tell us stuff like specific username spellings etc until you find a legit video just in case
@@alexblackfire8327 Yeah but it'll get harder and harder if he tells us those details, y'know? It's like if someone's impersonating a person and you start correcting the impersonation, it's gonna get more accurate going forward
@@alexblackfire8327 Also, the only reason he noticed this one was because chat noticed it, so I wouldn't be entirely sure about the "he'd definitely catch it" thing
@Safwaan I know, it's gotten really bad in these last few months. How did that even happen? The bots aren't even sophisticated, they're very obviously bots. It's not like they're exploiting a newly found RU-vid loophole or anything, so how have so many of them been able to get away with it?
@@enotsnavdier6867 it's really annoying bc a few days ago I got my comments deleted bc I shared a tiktok link, but these bots never disappear or get their comments deleted 💀
I genuinely feel sorry for Charlie. The man just wants to get his deleted videos back and people are only in it for the money. Hope he gets the videos legitimately.
Man, it sucks that people are still shit. High key though, I'm looking forward to the "memory lane" episode if this ends up with honest recovered videos in the future.
Why would it have changed? If anything people nowadays are more desperate for money than they ever have been after years of terrible policy making and obviously covid.
@@peterk.2108 25k is only a salary in poorer countries/regions, but yeh. It is a lot and any time you have a lot of money involved, you will have scammers. Just how it is.
He also attracts viewers that are of the nerdy variety. The perfect kinds of people to surround yourself with in an online setting. Look at how fast chat found the source. Lol
I'm 32 years old and still remember the time a 16-18 year old scammed me for my charizard card first edition holo at a mall. I was like 11 and there was a group battle thing going on where I went. Guy saw my charizard and asked if I would trade. I told him no but this literal adult teenager kept following me around and trying to talk me into trading with him. He didnt leave me alone for like an hour where he finally offered something I was interested in. A holo mewtwo and one of those weird ancient looking mew cards. He said he would go get them and when he came back he handed me the cards backside first, snatched my charizard card, and immediately ran out of the store and out the mall. The two cards he handed me were both ryhorns. It was less a scam and more an outright robbery of a child by a teenager but ive never seen the dude again in my life or else I would have recognized him. I wanted to kill that dude. I literally chased him but he was old enough to drive as he got in a beat up Honda civic and left. My mom was there and security heard me calling him a theif as I ran after him but they didnt intervene. Cops were called and I gave them his plate number but the cops made it apparent they didnt give a shit about a singular pokemon card. Even though today one of those is worth thousands. I hope you're happy stealing from a child you pathetic excuse of a human being. Its been 20 years and I still hate you.
You guys seem to underestimate Charlie's knowledge of his own videos He probably knows all 500 lost videos by fucking name. Edit: this is out of hand. I'm not even Charl-...but what if I am? What if we are all Charlie?....
@@highwaythruhell7882 Not only is that video way too high resolution for a 2007-2010 video, but Charlie almost certainly never used text to speech. Even if he did, there's no way he would've said "slow the video down to .25x speed" because the audience retention wasn't that important at that point and nobody knew about that loophole until recently. You're just trying to get more views on your own video.
I remember I tried to sell rune armor to a high level. He said "I'll give you a mill" I said deal, gave it to him then he said "Follow" I followed him to a literal farm mill. I was furious
my friend got blackmailed by who he thought was a girl, but it was a guy. he screenshotted inappropriate pictures of him and threatened to leak them if he didn’t sent 500 dollars. he didn’t have 500 so he settled for 15 dollars. bro was desperate.
Yeah, gotta be real careful sharing things like that if you do, because in the wrong hands could ruin your life permanently or for a long time atleast.
Charlie, if you still have the old harddrive that stored the videos at any point you could restore the deleted files even after many years. Hope you see this!
