What I realized is that Amir likes to watch conflict and arguments among blk women because he finds it entertaining and fascinating. Let's ignore (for a second) the fact that he said that he's scared of black women (I finally saw the old tweets) and the fact that the real reason he didn't step up and say something to Mariah or Bria is because he felt he would be attacked (by a blk woman). The vibe that I'm getting from him reminds me of whyte people when they go on a tour of the safari. They stay a good distance but remain in view so that they can watch the animals interact and learn how they communicate and live in their natural habitat. That's what his actions last season and this season gave me. He stood by and watched the argument escalade with Bria and Mariah and he stood and watch the aftermath of the blow up between Summer, Noelle, and Bria (when Summer was confronted because she didn't tell Noelle that she had sex with Alex). I agree with you: that this is a social experiment for him. What makes the experiment too real is the fact that he actually wants to be liked by them (cause he was teased as a child so that instinct kicks in no matter the race) and he's now being placed in a position where he is prompted to apologize for something to a blk woman (the same woman that he said that he's afraid of). His ability to not want to give Mariah a sincere apology (but demand Phil to do it) and then make the conversation into something bigger than it actually was (cause he lied to the guys about how the conversation went down with Mariah), shows that he lacks accountability and he has an "ick" when it comes to apologizing to blk women. He feels like it's beneath him and he would rather apologize for what happened (indirectly) without actually apologizing for what he did (directly) because that would mean that he wouldn't have to apologize to a blk woman (for his contribution to the situation).
And what kills me is bc of his “experience” with this group, he will still push that skewed narrative…meanwhile the Natalie’s in his life are the same way but it is easier to stay in his bubble of pedistalizing yt women as superior. He reminds me of that blk dude that got unalived by that yt woman that was assaulting him repeatedly then finally poked him to death. They never learn, but he can gone on and leave us alone. I have never seen it for him or his act and I was a hater supposedly last season

Thank you for explaining Mariah's situation. If I recall correctly she was homeless living in the var woth Jasmine at one point AND she's a single mom. Alex has music industry connects, Jordan grew up riding equestrian, Bria/Jasmine/Amir all have partners with money. Mariah needed that check in a way most of the other cast didnt. And Amir speaking up really could have saved her since Summer has attacked Bria twice so clearly the "no physicality" rule is only for people she doesnt like.
Just my opinion the African-Americans television 📺 audience appears to be turnoff by Amir and his antics (his stupidity is boring), and his lack of our culture is upsetting. Amir's girlfriend (Natalie) didn't make his situation better, since both are being attacked on social media. Candiace Dillard-Bassett, RHOP and Winter Harris, L&M:DC have jumped into the beef with Amir. The audience still feels angry over how Mariah was treated and the entire cast just tossed her aside without care. Summer definitely wasn't treated like Mariah with absolutely no house meeting.

Noelle is definitely the life of the party for me this season. The HBCU/D9 moment was everything and it was good to see so many more people in the house. Summer needs to take a break and see a therapist. Something seems deeper than just her grandma being ill. As far as Simon and Bria, she needs to realize the cultural differences mean Simon might need to just sit some things out. Simon doesn’t gaf about what they were trying to do. Martha’s Vineyard is an island so it’s harder to just come on a weekend. Plus they fly in from different places. So I think that’s why it’s filmed that way.

It wasn't shown on camera him mentioning it the day before, but he mentioned it previously. And not that I agree with his castmates not being supportive, but they were up till 5am. Most 5k's start at 7 or 8am, it's 2.5 miles, not a marathon. Which many people on social media are getting it confused bc both were mentioned when he was talking about the race in his confessional. I wish those who were up had at least remembered to say good luck.

Bria and Amir (and Natalie) got on my nerves this episode. Seems to be a running theme…Based on the first episode I really thought Bria matured a little. I had hope that she turned over a new leaf. Each episode since then, Bria has demonstrated more of her childish, bratty ways! I can’t believe she tried to snatch that costume off of Simon. Clearly she wasn’t the only one who thought it was inappropriate, fine. But there’s a way to get your point across. I wonder what conversations Amir and Natalie have about black women in private cause my spidey senses are tingling. Natalie clearly likes drama, is uncomfortable around the women, and is insecure. I haven’t seen it for Amir since last season. His conversation with Moriah pissed me off. Also, he always looks like he just woke up to me.

As a person that has run for over 18yrs many long distance races, half marathons, etc. I understood Nick’s sentiments about being upset about the lack of support frm his friends, esp if it’s a sentimental run and they weren’t there with him on the island. Those are the hardest runs and so very emotional. Training is so hard, often alone most of the time, just to make it to race day and pushing yourself thru each race. It means so much to have support at a turn or even the finish line, to see yur ppl gives u the boost u always need. My sisters and their kids along with a few friends have been to most of my long races or supported thru txt the day of the race in some way. It means so much more than ppl know. I was really sad that no one was there for him, esp with it being such a meaningful race. Nick also gives the impression that he is supportive of them when he can be. He got his flaws but I felt a way that no one got up with him, cheered him on and they were so dismissive when he got back🙄😞😒

A couple weeks ago I made a tweet saying I think Summer is an empath. It could be a good thing but also bad if she doesn't know how to navigate through it. Summer can you under my comment and she did agree she says at this point she is better at it handling this gift. If you look at the stuff that she absorbs from Jordan and Preston also dealing with her own stuff, she's not able to shuffle through all of it. And some problems aren't for you to take on. You must have wisdom if you're going to be an empath.
I think Amir relayed the situation to Alex and Nick differently and that’s why Nick minimized the conversation. Now Mariah wasn’t my type of hype after she got mad them folks didn’t wanna worship the moon in the cold after the club 😂 but I think she did deserve a lot more grace than she got.

I’m not excusing Summer’s behavior but I think her grandmother’s health (her only caretaker-like a mother to her) and figuring out who her father is the deeper issue. I think all the other things you noted have relevance but I think those two factors are pretty big. I think that’s missing when people critique her. I’m not saying her behavior is acceptable but our caretakers (or those who were supposed to be caretakers) has a significant impact on our attachment…but I mean she probably should stop drinking so she can hold it together on camera 😳
I’m enjoying SHMV, the drama is authentic and we are seeing the messy emotional scenes play out in real time.I can appreciate that it’s not manufactured. I’m rooting for Summer and Jordan, they are both clearly going through something and I want to see them come out on the other side. I’m interested in knowing more about the underlying issue between Jordan and Summer. So I hope they both come back next season.
Nick is definitely kinda fine 😆 He ran a 5k race, which is 3.1 miles but he's still very fast. While I've done a 5k run/walk, I ain't doing it no more 🤣 When he was out there, I was shocked not one of them went to give him a banana or water. They barely cheered when he said he got 5th...just odd. Nick was the MVP of this episode, IMO.
Excellent point in the beginning about them being there 2 weeks straight versus just the weekends. People keep saying they're there off-season, but this may have a bigger impact on the activities. Plus, people like Shanice may have been able to participate more in the first season, had she been able to come every weekend....people have real jobs out here, too.

Amir didn’t say anything about those dog clothes because he’s scared of black women. He may be clean and he may be nice, but if anybody is sneaky, it’s an Amir. I think he would throw them under the bus in a heartbeat if it meant saving himself, and I may be reaching, but it seems as if he is not good at taking responsibility for his own actions unless pressured.
I think Amir definitely is attracted to Jordan. I really don’t think it was an act. I also think he’s attracted to the black girls but he’s also been rejected by black women and knows they aren’t interested. That’s why he’s so mad and was excited to bring Natalie on the show. Hello Rodney..I run 10 miles at least 5 days a week, starting a 330am. I also strength train about 4 days a week. I've ran 11 various marathons between 5k and half marathons. Nick ran a 5k (3.1 miles) in 19.30 minutes which is very very fast. My fastest 5k is 24 minutes. So Nick did a great job on his run. P.S. I listen to you and Erica on some of my runs. I get a laugh, some insight, and get caught up on all of things when I listen to yall 😊. Thank you for the content.

Oh, 1) that Amir liking Jordan ish last season was a lie (one of his old tweets spoke about how he only whyte, athletic girls) and 2) it's been said that Amir is trying to get Natalie on the show full time. That's why she "clocked in" and was going around spreading information. He wanted to show the producers what it would be like to have her in the house full time. He knows that Jasmine and Silas were in the house the entire trip so he wants that but with Natalie.

You don't have to do anything" so she can go about her way and pretend to be a rich whyte woman; but NO! I find it interesting that the 2 yt ppl are struggling in different ways in blk spaces. Neither know what to do as the minority that is not getting the attn so they act out in different ways. I agree with you. Noelle shouldn’t have tried to keep Summer from leaving and grabbing her. I don’t touch mad people and I damn sure don’t touch drunk mad people. It may be an age thing. 🤷🏾♀️
I agree with your opinion of summer. She is emotional all over the place. Yes Alex does have something to do with it Tasia is gorgeous, but the she seem so uncomfortable. Amir is whit-washed to busy kissing on Andy Cohen 😊
