That suck’s. I wonder what she had going on back then that kept her from voicing Wonder Woman. At least Adam West was down to do the voice of Batman. It would’ve been to see Burt Ward return to do the voice of Robin.@@wondercub
Great Review! Although you forgot to mention that BJ Ward, the voice of Scarlett from the original GI Joe animated series, voiced Wonder Woman for the Super Powers Team cartoon.
She also voiced Betty Ross in the 1982 Incredible Hulk animated series too. Plus, she would also go on to reprise the role of Wonder Woman in the 1988 Ruby Spears Superman animated series which only produced 13 episodes for CBS Saturday morning’s during that year.
I really liked this series as a teen and as a kid Challange I would watch new and over again in reruns endlessly, but the one that I'm most nestolgic of is the first incarnation I saw, the milder and slower paced 1st season (72?). It blew my mind seeing so many of my favorites together and moving. Up till then, Superboy, Superman, Batman, Aquaman and Spider-Man were the only (serious) superhero cartoons I can recall seeing. The Filmation JLA I don't think I saw until shown on cable in the 90s, since I can't recall any thoughts on it from earlier, so this would've been my first true super team (not that the Mighty Heroes didn't do until this came along). And cool to know I was a fan of Ernie Hudson before I even knew who he was (now it makes me want him to reprise the role for a DC parallel universe DCAU tale).
I like most of the episodes from 77 to 86 but my favorite season is Challenge of the Superfriends because it gave us 11 Heroes and 13 Villains for a total of 24 DC characters even though 3 of them they made up for the show
Good video, I just wouldn't have shown that Black Vulcan figure as it was a custom that someone made. Kenner never produced a Black Vulcan figure. And they beat the comic of the Death Of Superman by about 7 years. Still a good video though. I enjoyed your review very much.
Thanks for the trivia and your opinions. I really appreciate you watching the video, your kind words and thanks for taking the time to share in the comments section.
In "Outlaws of Orion" Batman and Robin both are arrested. In their jail cell there are wanted posters featuring all the Super Friends. Each of the Super Friends' posters states they are wanted "dead or alive", except for Gleek's. Gleek's poster just says he's wanted "dead". The person at Hanna Barbera who put this Easter egg in has a unique sense of humor.
Thanks for sharing this. I was trying to find info on the cartoons that came out after the original Super Friends was canceled. This is just what I was looking for!
Kaibak Superman wasn't in a sales slump, they needed to fill time because DC wanted Superman and Lois' comic wedding to coincide with the Lois & Clark TV show.
Though the Lois & Clark series was a factor, the Superman comic sales in fact declined after writer artist John Byrne left the titles. Thanks for pointing things out though. You should edit together your own video about Superman facts. I'd watch : )
