The days where you will be charging your car full in a matter of minutes doesn't seem very far because of the high charging speed rates of a supercapacitor.

Thank you for distinguishing between energy density and power density. Most people have not caught onto that distinction regarding supercapacitors yet, or they use the terms incorrectly. Please go the next step of distinguishing between energy density (W-h/L) or (J/L) and specific energy (W-h/kg) or (J/kg).

@@PITECH_07 dont you think a small pack of capacitors will help allow extreme regenerative braking by sucking the hlvery high surge and then charging the battery from it slowly??

I think we need an gas/electric vehicle hybrid that uses super-caps to store energy very quickly and temporarily. Trying to quick charge a battery will only degrade it with excess heat. We can use a combination of battery, capacitor and turbine enginator to create a well managed production of a fixed amount of power for a given trip. Google Maps can help; it knows the altitudes of your trip affecting how much energy you'll need (hills). You can see it in biking mode. The battery and capacitor do the quick exchanges of electron energy to kinetic energy while the small onboard generator provides the baseload power you'll need for a trip. For most short trips, it might only run at 5% power. But if you're going for a 10 hour drive, you'll need to run at 100%, and periodically need to recharge the battery.

if you wire in parrallel a supercapacitor battery with your EV battery, when you need a huge load for a few seconds the supercapacitors will give the energy instantly

Still nothing can beat ICE in range and less than 5 minutes refueling. That is the reality.

they are better efficient batteries for some areas like energy production plants, but as they seem to have all their main functional ingredients, the anode, cathode and the electrode in all liquid form. I personally feel that it's not a very good idea to put them in our electric vehicles, especially in the high performance models. But, only time will tell, what type of batteries will be used as a standard in the future. how about solid state batteries?

Supercapacitors cost around 2000 to 5000usd per kWh of energy storage but Li-ion Batteries for EVs cost around 500-1000usd per kWh of storage. so Clearly there is a huge price difference. but in the long term, we can expect cheaper rates.

so as i mentioned in the video, super-capacitors can hold only 5 to 20wh /kg of energy. so you can make a rough calculation of how many super-capacitors you might want to use to reach a power output of 2kw which will also give you the range you can travel as a result. thanks for watching

Batteries store charge chemically, while capacitors store charge electrically. Chemical reactions have the capability to store more energy than electrical storage. so that’s why you can see batteries being used in many more places. thanks for watching

India is still an emerging market for EVs. We still have a lot to achieve in this industry especially large-scale in-house manufacturing of EV components. China has already an edge in manufacturing these components, hence they are bound to have a head start in super capacitor technology.
