I want to use a wood fixed A2 style stock for my remington 870. I have yet to find an adaptor that has that detent you find on the typical AR lower however. I think using a clamp like that might somewhat serve my needs. Do you have a link you can share where I can find one, or a similar product? It of course won't completely eliminate rotation, seeing as the receiver-side detent still doesn't exist, but the added friction may help. Honestly at a loss as to how I'd achieve my goal without the help of a gunsmith.

@RoyalAermsIntl - The MkII version doesn't have a rubber buttpad. Do you know if there are any 3rd party pads that fit?

I'm new to building an ar. I want this, but I'm unsure of what buffer/ spring will work. I would like a jp. Also what rubber buttstock piece is that?

3Gun, thanks for the interest. If you are using a Mil Spec A2 Buffer tube then you must use a Rifle Length Buffer and Spring. The JP will work as long as it is Rifle Length. Still make the A2 buffer version. Website only has proprietary tube that runs Carbine gas which is a deal breaker for me

Leon Weatherby we only have the A2 style so you can use your existing A2 or the hybrid

You can use either the hybrid or the A2, since the hybrid is the same diameter tube as the A2

it has no screw to secure it to the tube. that's kind of crappy

+JD Hi JD, not sure what part you are talking about. All of the SHCS screw will clamp the part securely. There is no issue of it loosing up. if you are having trouble installing it call us.

+RoyalArmsIntl its a matter of having a superior product. a2 buffers have a screw at the very end for securing the butt stock. IMO it is an oversight to have not included this in your product. on a 556 i wouldn't worry about this, but 308 has a heck of a lot of recoil and I am concerned that rotation of the buttstock will occur. aside from that little piece, it looks like a good product that i would want to try.
