This week Ebbers leaves a meal alone for half an hour while 3 idiots try and mess it up. He comes back and just gets it over the line.

I’d love to see one of these where they’re told it’s one dish. But each person is given a similar but ever so slightly different dish to what the last one was cooking as they progress. See how it goes from start to finish.

Feel like Jamie judged himself harshly. Easily a 5, checked progress when he entered, cooked prawn toast and attempted to contribute by filling buns.

I appreciate that they casually incorporated the instapot into their daily shenanigans rather than having it be a one and done sort of thing like their other gadgets

“The hope is on fire” got me so good Ebbers nailed it in the beginning as usual so I’m glad they didn’t slag him off

I'd recommend a round of pass it on where the boys all have to go in the order they least prefer. Like, Ben has mentioned hating going second to last, Jamie hates going last, Mike hates going first.

The thing is that this was the most cohesive, forward thinking, and "chefy" that all the boys have ever been in one of these. The big brains were actually here lol, I was kinda surprised it didn't work out at the last second!

This is one of those when it felt like everyone did a bit while you’re watching and it like “okay, a bit of progress!” but then at the end nothing is there to come together. “Oh Ebbers, this is a miracle” is right, well done Chef! It all looked tasty to me! (Save for the buns)

These boys are TOO HARD on themselves! I love these the most almost especially when you "fail" because it's comforting to see a world where just trying is succeeding. Love you SortedFood, been watching for years and I hope you never stop!

A small tip for making wonton(not the fried ones, the soup ones): If you're using pre-made dumpling skins and you are making wonton, cut them in halves, stack them on top of each other and roll them thinner(ideally you can just start to see through it). This will make sure that you'll have silky wonton skin. The filling doesn't really matter, just pick what you want. The way you seal it doesn't matter as well, because you want to let the filling leak into the soup so that the soup is not just starchy water(this is actually why wonton is easier than dumplings, because you can suck at sealing them and they still work). At the bottom of the serving bowl, put some dried seaweed(紫菜, not Nori), soy sauce, oyster sauce, a pinch of white pepper, a bit of Shanxi vinegar(it's a type vinegar with much thicker and stronger acidity), ladle the soup in the bowl to let everything mix up nicely, and then ladle the wontons in. Put some dried shrimps(the really small and flaky ones) to make it even better. Really nice and easy meal if you have the traditional Chinese cupboard items with you.

Janice being repulsed by a night in with Ben was just mean but that’s Janice for you: Her own sense of self is the best company she has 😂
