When they hit Stretch with the hammer the first time in the dinner scene, the actor accidentally really hit the actress and really wounded her. Some of that head wound while she's held over the bucket is real. Sally in the first movie had a similar experience. They couldn't get the fake finger cut to work so the actor playing the hitchhiker really DID slice her finger open, so the finger cutting you saw in the 74 dinner scene was 100% real.

The corpse Leatherface had in the opening was his brother from the first movie

Honestly, I love how batshit crazy this movie is.

It was strangely wholesome how Bubba kept trying to keep the girl safe.

Pugapillar I wanna tell you a fun fact, the sheriff in the movie is actually the uncle of Sally and Franklin and he’s trying to find the guy who killed his nephew and the guy with the glasses in the metal plate in his head is the twin brother of that hitchhiker from the first movie

@Puggapillar Lefty is the uncle of Sally and Franklin. The corpse that Leatherface and Chop Top were dragging around with them was the corpse of their brother named Nubbins, who's the hitchhiker from the 1st movie. During the events of the 1st movie, Chop Top was fighting in the Vietnam War.

It's so weird to think Dennis Hopper said THIS was his worst movie after having played President Koopa in The Super Mario Bros. live action movie.

I remember the release of this one. It's more like a comedy and a tribute to the original.

The "moving house" in the background was a mobile home or a trailer. It's a standard way to move them from generally the lot you purchased it from to your property. It's pretty common here in the southern United States lol. Sometimes they even move them in parts so they can put them together later wherever it is you're going to be living for a while. They can even uproot some whole houses depending on the structure and move them to a different site or property as well. Somewhere close to where I live they moved an entire 3 story home that used to be a foster home and school for girls about a mile away from where it had originally been built and sat for many years. It's supposedly haunted and a creepy little mini mansion. I can't imagine moving it helped with that very much 😂 Kinda even looks like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house a little bit.

The only way Tobe Hooper was going to do another TCM movie was if he was allowed to do something different. He knew he couldn't top it off. NOthing could compare to the original so he wanted to do it differently, right down to the synth music. he was allowed to do so and he decided to turn it into a dark comedy. Stretch appears in TX chainsaw Massacre 3: Leatherface. she's the reporter in the scene showing the toxic pits. Her part was going to be longer but they chose her part to just be a cameo. Chop Top is the twin brother of Nubbins, the hitchhiker from the first movie. Nubbins is also carried around this movie by Leatherface and then Chop Top. the aspect ratio of the vhs version revealed something that was not meant to be seen in the finale where Stretch is doing the chainsaw dance. you were able to see rush hour traffic directly below her. it was eventually corrected in later cuts of the film. Bill Mosely who played Chop Top would go on to be in other movies including Rob Zombie's Devil's Rejects trilogy. He was Otis, the long haired older brother.

Nothing to do with this movie, but I just found out, decades later, that, in the first one, when Franklin is eating a sausage roll from the gas station, it's a penis. Now you can't unsee it!

I'll never understand how most fans defend and praise this sequel but bash Exorcist II, they're both ridiculously overtop and nonscary

Having grown up in Texas, I used to see those houses on the move all the time. I also thought the Texas chainsaw movie was real and I never wanted to know where it happened bc I might live close by 😅 Growing up in the middle of nowhere was scary lol

So, Tobe Hooper said this one himself. They forgot to add some form of dialogue or anything into the script because they wrote it in a pinch, but Stretch and Lefty are meant to be Father and Daughter, but he left before she ever met him. Stretch is in fact Sally's biological sister.

It's the Gremlins 2 of Texas Chainsaw films.. doesnt take itself seriously, kinda makes fun of itself. But this has less 4th wall breaking. And less Hulk Hogan.

The change in tone from absolute traumatizing horror to dark comedy made no sense to me. Like the director said he found it weird that viewers found the sudden change in tone out of place since he intended on making the original a dark comedy which um no the original isn’t funny in the least😂.
