Hello lovely friends! Today's video is a heartfelt thank you to all of my viewers. I shared my really happy news a couple days ago on the community tab and how through your generous support I was able to pay off a business loan early. I wanted to give you an unfiltered message of thanks, and talk a little bit about my experience with Missouri Star. And why I'm so proud to be involved with them as a member of their partner program. I thought it was necessary to thank you personally for all you've done for me and to speak a little on some of the challenges I'm having in my personal life and the difficulties I've faced as a youtuber the past few years. I thought it was important to address a few things, and I hope this answers some questions you may have had regarding the slight change of direction that's been going on with the channel. I try my hardest to be as authentic and transparent with you as possible. It's not easy for me to be this open and vulnerable publicly, but I thought it was necessary.

Missouri Star Affiliate link for 20% off your purchase of $50 or more: glnk.io/mzmmj/pattymacmakes. You simply click the link which takes you right to their website. Then shop as normal. When you have $50 worth of products, the discount will come off automatically in the check out cart. Not everything is included with the discount, and I don't have any control over that. Generally the big ticket items like sewing machines and furniture is not included, but most everything else is. Including fabric and notions already on sale. So happy for you that your loan has been paid off! I’ll be keeping you, your mom, and your friend in prayers. I’ve only been doing a bit of sewing here and there myself. What I’ve been going through has been a blessing. I’m in process of having my cataracts removed. I got my right eye done and I can’t believe all the awesome sights. That has been one reason I don’t get hardly anything done is because I want to sit outside and look at everything. I can’t wait until next Thursday when I get left one done. I just might have to go look at some fabric.

It's so hard when people rely on you, as you know. I have put myself dead last for a good 9 months now, and it's wearing on me. I am learning I have to take a step back even when I don't want to. But I have my own health issues on the serious side and I have to be really careful about it.

Thank you! I've been kind of stressed about sharing something like this, but I thought it was important to thank my loyal viewers for all the support I've had the past few months. I'm planning to wrap up what I'm doing for my friend next week and go back to my normal schedule. It's completely wrecked my work the past couple weeks trying to help him He's receiving appropriate care now but I think it's going to be a long haul for him. But I'm finishing up my primary things I need to do for him next week. I can't continue to drop my work for much longer. And I miss it!! I'm really looking forward to the next project

I liked you before and now I like you even more! Your honesty and how you are up front about real life is inspiring! I take care of my parents everyday. My mom is in end stage kidney failure and my dad is in end stage heart disease. That’s the only way I can describe his stuff. I am very grateful to have my hubby and kids to help me when I need them though. I know what you mean about not having time to sew. I have fallen asleep sewing, pedal going, thread everywhere in a mess. 😂😂I am so glad you are seeing some reward from what you are doing. It comes through, your honesty and sincerity! I was a hairdresser for 35 years and it was hard knowing it was all on me! Sink or swim. But I made it and it was rewarding!! So, you got this!

The reason they call it a personal life is because it is personal. Please know you are in my heart and prayers. I love your videos. It’s as if it’s friends getting together sharing something we love to do. It’s so nice to watch someone who gets how wonderful quilting is for the soul. I hope you get a chance to sew for your sake. Thank you!! Yeah, I'm literally like the lady next door who grows tomatoes and sews. My former neighbor followed me on youtube and didn't know it was me until she came over and saw a project that had been on the channel and put it together that I was the same youtuber! It was hilarious when she figured it out. She used to come over and sew with me and I miss her so much. They might get orders to come back next year so I guess we'll see.

I'm thrilled for you that you were able to pay off your loan early! 🎉 Keeping you, your mom, and your friend in the prayer chain. I'm totally here for your authentic self! When I watch your videos, it feels more like sitting down with a friend with a cuppa for a good visit. Thank you for that. Notes to keep your thoughts linear are an entirely different thing than the full storyboards that I've seen some content creators use. Sending you hugs. 🤗 I hope that you can get some sewing therapy in soon. I know from experience how much that helps both with stress levels and mental health in general.

I'm missing my projects so much!! But I'm so tired at the end of the day, I can't manage it. I usually don't finish cleaning up the dinner dishes until after 9 and I'm too wiped out at that point. And I have to take photos of all the fabric I'm going to use in something BEFORE I can cut into it or start prepping it for sewing so I have that for blog posts and video b-roll. I can never just grab something and start, because of all the photos that have to be done along the way. Yeah people get really complex in their videos and I don't have the bandwidth for it. They also have help. They are not doing that on their own. For me, I would rather hire a tech editor so I can start getting my patterns published and hiring help for my pinterest marketing to get a boost to my website. That makes more sense to me than editors etc. Fancy videos are nice, but I don't think the viewers here really care all that much about that. Thank you soooo much for your input and advice!! I appreciate it so much. I really need to get in more exercise. That would be the best thing for me right now.

That is exactly my approach and I'm happy to hear it conveys that way across the air waves! Actually, I'm not taking care of myself at all right now, and I'm feeling it. I did finally get to do my favorite exercise video this morning and that always feels great, but over all, I'ver really neglected myself. I can't keep going like this long term. Thank you!! My chaplain told me I'm remarkable this week and I don't know how I feel about that. I have learned to take compliments when people give them, but really, I'm just trying to be a good human being. My limitation is I can't spread myself out as much as I would like. But I have my own health concerns to consider and I don't want to wind up in the hospital too. It would be a disaster for 3 people and 2 households so I pray for protection multiple times daily.

Patty, I just happened to find your video and am a fairly recent subscriber. You come across as a genuine caring person and you are a joy to watch and I find I learn so much from you. Oh thank you so very much!! It was always my mission with the channel to be who I am and not construct a fictionalized version of myself. I feel like in these times, surrounded by fake everything, I want to be that place where people can go and spend some time in what's real. It may not be the most polished or fancy or whatever, but I do believe the authenticity is the biggest merit I can off viewers at this time. It's grounding and heavens knows we need that these day.

You are a breath of fresh air. Have been watching you for years. You’ve come a long way baby🤗. I’m currently working from my stash before making any more purchases. I know the relief u are experiencing having that loan paid off. We were in bad debt for a while. We went scorched earth to pay it off. When the final payment was made, we were ecstatic and remain committed to no consumer debt for stuff. God bless you and yours. Remember self care especially during stressful times. All the best.

Thank you so much!! I'm not even sure how it got so out of hand....other than it's just gotten so expensive to live that I haven't had extra to pay the stuff down. I never should have run it up, but I have had home repairs and so on to do. I've got a pretty long list of more home repairs and maintenance items to take care of that is going to be a small fortune, but getting all of that done will set me up well for a few years.

I just found you on RU-vid. I used to do a lot of sewing, but got sidetracked onto knitting and crocheting. I love them all. I am anxious to see what you have in store for the future. I totally get what your situation is. Since last August it certainly has been challenging. Sometimes it is hard to keep going. But I have always been one that will keep on keeping on. Thank you Susan! I'm so tired. It's a lot and I'm doing dinner dishes at 10pm most nights. I have to figure out a better routine, but it's hard when I'm the only one here. It all falls on me and sometimes it's over whelming. But I had a great visit with our Chaplain yesterday and he really lifted me. I could talk to him all day.

I hope so!! It's kind of a lot. The legal issues and planning someone's care is hugely stressful. I'm doing my best, but it is taking a huge toll on my health.
