It was pure genius having Ted Bessell doing that voiceover in the opening scene. Hysterical!

This episode has a great theme -- they plan to do everything and go everywhere, but they get too tired. That can totally happen!

Ann didn’t spend much time in rehearsals!

Let this series show milennials and the likes what "high value" men and women in high value relationships look like. They weren't talking about it, they were living it. Ahh the simpler days

"Dancing" is code for the other thing that Donald and Ann don't do.

Wouldn't it make more sense for Don to take off one of the weeks when Ann is away and go see her there?

I'm guessing the intent of this episode was to highlight NYC.

I agree with you, I love Marlo Thomas and That Girl, in the opening when you see Marlo Thomas holding the flag, I have the That Girl doll, that opening is a Masterpiece

I will NEVER understand people who hate something waste their time commenting on it. You don’t like it, stay the f**k away.

@@gretchennelson7056 and yet you took the time to hate on someone else commenting. Gotta tell you I'll never understand anyone who needs to use foul language to make a point. Guess that makes us all haters 😅

What is the name of the song Don and Ann are dancing to? It's so catchy.

I really like Ted Bessell and in those years he was a very good looking guy. He is more the humorous and friendly guy, not the strong hunk. Sure, this series was watched by women a lot. Both are playing a very nice couple.

When I watch old shows like this in NYC, I always look for the twin towers . This show was before construction was completed.

Donald, really. A suit to the zoo? Relax a little. The writing staff must have been on vacation as this didn't involve much writing of any kind!

You obviously aren't very old. Back then, no one would have dared go to a theatrical production (esp. on Broadway!) or dared to travel by motor coach, train or plane without dressing, at the very least, in business casual (which, for men, was wearing a sports coat and tie rather than a suit). Women NEVER wore slacks if they were going out of the house. Things were different back in the '60s--ask your grandmother about it.

I was born in1960 and when we went to the zoo no one wore suits or dresses.@@davidfritz1331

The suit is a bit much but now things have swung too far in the other direction. People are so relaxed they wear pajamas everywhere. Smh!

In Europe in those days you would often need a tie to be allowed into a restaurant. Pants for women were sometimes viewed as inappropriate clothing and no matter how expensive the dress was, you would not be assigned a table. Today people are dressed sometimes as childs, freaks or with clothing for the sleeping room on the streets. My parents were not that conservative, but they were dressed modern and elegant. Also ladies hairstyles were very fancy. Today, some women are looking like crossdresser or ignoring their hair condition completely. But, television was an ideal dreamworld, that is for sure!

For once Don didn't wear a suit to the Statue of Liberty.

FYI for those born later...when we dated in the 70's and even early to mid 80's, a guy dressed up in a suit and tie to take out a girl. Only if they were respectable and decent. It was only late 80's that guys started to wear jeans. Of course, different rules for teenagers, but this was the case for anyone in university or past that.

Especially in NYC, people did ( and still do) dress up. I lived in NYC for years and people dressed well all of the time.
