I love my elite strap... Had it over a month getting passed around between 7-10 year olds... No problem... Paired with the rebuff reality battery pack, I can now play pop-1 for almost 7 hours !

@@califpv It's really not as fragile as people are saying. I've had mine since launch, but just got a DAS so it's just chilling in the case.

I actually have a feeling as soon as any sellers realize people are buying these for the FrankenQuest2 mod, price will go up, because the case looks pretty good quality.

I know some people that have had theirs start cracking. Obviously its not completely fragile, but it just shows its not the best quality.

Until you know what heaven is like, I guess the stock strap might not seem too bad.

I was starting to get used to it when the adaptors finally came in. I think I could survive with the stock strap, but now I can't live without the DAS.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. I believe the quest 2 with DAS is better than any other headset on the market, coming in at only 420 bucks (300 headset, 100 DAS, 2 for adapters). The reverb g2 is the only upgrade, and even that requires you to be tethered. The index is around a thousand dollars and its only upgrades are the controllers and refresh rate. The quest 2 beats it on flexibility, ease of use, resolution, and the fact that it can be wireless. I even prefer the quest 2 controllers over the knuckles. So yeah, I dont feel bad investing in the quest 2 because it is already so cheap, and with a few mods it is on par with 1000 dollar headsets.

@@VirtualPandaVR I will patiently wait for PSVR 2 that takes advantage of the power of PS5. I don't have a Windows OS computer. And I don't need Windows or any software on that OS. I use a i5 chromebook now with Linux and all the free Linux software. I do gaming exclusive on Playstation and I only bought Quest 2 because I couldn't get a PS5. LOL And the computing power of Quest 2 is really not that great putting a big limit to its frame rate. Many VR companies that work with Facebook have already committed to support Playstation. So the only problem left is will companies like Google (which already has the pixel cell phone incorporate the motion sensing technology) into its high end phones and make them true VR devices. BTW, pixel phones can generate a much larger field of view. The problem with VR is not so much about resolution but about computing power. Quest 2 is a cheap alternative to many existing headsets. But as I have said, it can only be a transition. Quest 2 is an Android device without the phone function. The resolution of the VR images of Quest 2 comes with the price of a smaller field of view which is a big minus. The small size of the headset also puts a lot of pressure on certain points of your forehead and your cheek bones. I don't regret that I have bought this headset. But I would not invest anything more on it. For gaming, Quest 2 has to pair with a good gaming PC to play the newest games, whereas PS5 is a stand alone gaming console. To me, a good chromebook, together with a good gaming console like PS5 and PSVR (PSVR 2 in the future) is a better alternative to a high end Windows based gaming PC paired with Quest 2. To people who do not do too much computing, another alternative is a possible high end cell phone with true VR functionality (available in the near future) together with a good but cheap 100 buck comfortable headset with good earphones. BTW, Quest 2 is just an Android device without the phone function. You can use your Android phone to display virtual destops of your Window based PC.

I dont like the location of ur battery, I am tryna find a battery pack I can sit on top of my head or wear like a necklace or something strapped away from the headset. Id prefer the tippy top of my head because i want to lay down when watching movies it why I am returning the elite strap because that battery was super annoying.

Also i could have it very tight because it just hurt after awhile, so I had to make it looser and it just made it blurry

@@the_RCB_films I prefer it where it is so that it works as a counter balance. I tried on top of my head, didn't like it. But you can definitely try it out! maybe just get a long enough wire to put a battery in your pocket?

@@VirtualPandaVR True that. I got the much cheaper BOBOVR M2 and its miles better than the stock strap. Just gotta find a way to mount a battery now. Might try something similar to your mod.

I did point out that my version of the DAS has a battery. I also give several reasons why the audio solution the das provides is much better than headphones. I also give several reasons why adding a battery is better than using the elite strap battery, which has horrible battery life. Also the elite strap is made of flimsy plastic that has been breaking for a lot of people.... sooo..... Im not sure what else you want from me. Lol. If you'd rather have the elite strap, go for it. But the das seems to provide me a much better experience.

Also you should know that wireless headphones don't work with the quest. For some reason Bluetooth headphones have a delay.

My main point was...U statin that there were 3 reasons 4 the DAS & 2 4 the Elite strap. Both offer comfort (Fair, altho if U've not tried the Elite strap, how do U know) Both have a battery (Ur words...only the Elite strap "comes" with a battery) Then U say the DAS is the only 1 with audio (the only 1 with added audio..yes...but if U go by Ur battery comment surely they both have audio, because like U did with the battery 4 the DAS..audio can b added 2 the Elite strap) I just saw that as false info (& not a reason 2 put the DAS 4 3 when comparin the Elite strap as 2) 🤔💁‍♂️ That's All. I get...U luv the DAS strap...but I feel it was unfair 2 advertise it as bein better in the way U did. Wireless/Bluetooth headphones do work...audio is GR8 4 me usin My Gear IconX buds 😏
