This reply is YEARS late but watching Nick do DCOM clip breakdowns is a comfort of sorts for me & ironically so is the Cheetah Girls (we all know it was the best DCOM musical - any HSM stans can step to me right now) and watching him recap this & my all-time fave DCOM Musical made me think of how "Work" from HSM 2 is a direct rip-off of "Strut" and still, even with all that kitchen-choreo doesn't compare to Raven walking down the entire Barcelona in STILLETO boots doing full choreo. Thank God someone else noticed this because even Kiely Williams (Aqua, no hate to her) could barely keep up in her single-sole sneakers & Summer dress lmfao.

Can I be the cameraman? During these abysmal two years, our world could use some love and light in the form of ribbon dancing! As a neurodivergent child who was a bit of a control freak, I felt so much empathy for Galleria that I never was able to finish this movie. Every time the others started accusing her of being too controlling I would start crying and have to turn it off.

Yeah growing up as an autistic child, I felt so bad for her character bc she was just doing what they set out to do originally. I would probably feel like my friends abandoned me for the cooler, more accomplished teens in Barcelona. If nobody took my feelings into consideration, I would have left too. Plus the gaslighting her about her past mistakes. Ouch. I always skip this part when I watch the movie. I mainly love it for the songs.

This was the best movie in the trilogy. Disney gave them a BUDGET+ the soundtrack is amazing. Nick’s commentary is EVERYTHING. Idk how someone can just be so witty and funny consistently??

I watched an interview with the costume designer a while ago and she explained that Raven actually wasn't comfortable wearing things that were form fitting so the costume designer tried to dress her based on that. But like she still could have given her better clothes??

I’m sure they asked he input about how she felt. I believe raven was feeling insecure because when she started Disney she was smaller but still curvy and she gained a bit of weight.

This reply is yeaarrssss late but I really feel like they have her wearing curtains in 80% of the film like -?? Perfect example of non-form fitting clothing is her fit in "The Party's Just Begun"... Like they couldn't keep doing that instead of having her wear one of the Luc's couch's blanket throws in the number "Over"? Raven had every right to walk from Cheetah One World. They would have had her in a full Sari like a married woman the whole time.

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i...and my family emigrated from Japan in 1868, and over the last 150+ years, our looks have changed so I don’t really look like people from Japan. Well I had moved to Los Angeles and people would always ask me, “Are you Brasilian?” and I used to be so confused...until my friend told me, “you know Brasil has the highest Japanese population outside of Japan, right?” Yeah, I felt so stupid. 🤣😂 Anyway, I was just wondering if you grew up around a lot of Japanese-mixed people, if you have friends that are Japanese-mixed, and if Japanese cuisine is a part of Brasilian cuisine. Here in Hawai’i, 1 out of every 4 people is mixed race...with Portuguese/Japanese & Portuguese/Hawaiian being two of the more common mixes. Also, most local people see being mixed race as DESIRABLE...the word “hapa” is Hawaiian for “half”, but it’s used to describe anyone who’s mixed...and people are considered to be lucky to be hapa. 😁 Anyway, I hope u and ur ohana (Hawaiian for “family”) are staying safe and healthy during this pandemic. If you ever do come to Hawai’i, shoot me a DM on Instagram and I’ll send you a list of places to go, things to eat, place to see, restaurants that locals frequent, etc. Coming during January or February should be fun...it’s no as crowded, but it’s still about 26C (80F) everyday...and during those months, the waves on the North Shore can reach up to 25 feet high. Also, if you go to the Big Island, you’ll be able to see the snow on Mauna Kea. In fact, this year, we had snow on the Big Island AND we had snow on Maui.

Actually... the reason Aqua's character is so different every time is because in the books theres an extra cheetah girl who is Aqua's twin. So the writers I guess we're struggling putting her in the movie.

I think it’s a direct result of Nick...he genuinely cares about his subscribers and I feel like he sees us as his RU-vid family, and in turn we see him as our RU-vid family. 😁 One thing that separates Nick from a lot of other content creators (CCs) is that he actually employs “dark humour”, and he does it so skillfully! A lot of CCs just say mean, horrible, and sometimes racist, homophobic, and ableist things and then try to call it “dark humour” (eg. David DoPrick)...but Nick’s jokes have punchlines and a buildup. Like that joke a few videos back when he said that he couldn’t believe a dad would use his daughter’s forearm to swatch different shades of makeup...even though Shame Flawson was alluding to domestics, but Nick told it in such a seamless way that he quickly explained that he had already seen that used in Forrest Gump so it lost some impact. Nick, my fiance of 7 years recently passed away due to kidney failure. He was only 40 :( it was very unexpected and heartbreaking for me. As a person who already has clinical depression and bipolar 2 along with other mental illnesses, this absolutely made me shut down and isolate like never in my life. I’ve been waiting for this video because I wanted to see you talk about the iconic Belinda! Two things: - Belinda is Mexican, not Spanish! This is an important distinction for us Latinos. She was a child actress and appeared in many many Mexican telenovelas over the years. - There are indeed a lot of teen clubs in Spain and Barcelona in particular! It’s pretty common to see a lot of +14 clubs or clubs with +14 hours in Spain and even some Latin American countries. Loved the video!

@@bushdenae Oh, you're right! I didn't know she was born in Spain. I guess you could say that, but since she lived in Mexico from a young age and is sort of a staple of Mexican culture, I'd say she's Mexican, if not Latina. Still, I'd argue that culturally she is Latina, after all, the term 'latino/a/x' is kind of a North American construction anyways.

Side note on the teen clubs: I had an exchange student from Barcelona in 2005-2006 and she was stunned that we didn't have teen "discos" in San Diego. We found out there was 1 out here, and she ended up being bummed out because they only played reggaton. Apparently, discos were/are actually very common in Spain and particularly Barcelona. They've got different rooms with different music and were/are a big deal. Dunno if it's still a thing, but definitely was in the mid-late 2000s
