I totally forgot about the fact that this movie traumatized me after i went to watch it in the theater until you mentioned that the nun scene traumatized you for days. My room is all the way to the end of the hallway in our house and i genuinely couldn't get out for weeks because i felt a weird vibe, i hated staying alone in my house bc i was really scared and im usually not like that, i've been watching scary movies since forever and i never get scared for weeks about a movie, watching the anabelle movie i heard someone calling my name, not a whisper but right next to my ear and i was sitting alone in my couch, creepy but i brushed it off, even as a kid my mom says that i would go downstairs to the kitchen without turning the lights on so this movie giving me this awful feeling was definiely like HUH? it wasn't even like "omg i see the scene of the nun in my head and that's why im scared" it was just a weird vibe around me, can't really explain it, my mom got worried and we did some cleansing around the house and myself and eventually the feeling went away

I was 16 years old when I moved to Australia from the UK it was only me and mum at the time and the first ever house we bought was haunted as fuck especially my room. I could hear scratching on my ceiling, walls, and floors waking me up at all hours throughout the night, my dog (who’s a very large mixed breed by the way and he weighs 40 - 45 kilos) would nonstop be freaking out which was unlike him at all, whenever my mates came home with me from high school whenever we took photos and videos we often caught in the background shadowy figures 6 - 6.5 feet tall, I often had disturbing nightmares that were more like flashbacks (they were in the house and were of people panicking), I could go on and on. Little did we know that our landlord hid the fact that the previous owner was in a satanic cult and we soon discovered shortly before moving satanic symbols etched on spare room walls we never noticed until up to that point. We were horrified and couldn’t wait to get the fuck out of there. We haven’t experienced anything since thank fuck

The story on whuch this movie is based is one of the most documented hauntings of all time. There's actual photos and recordings, sworn accounts by police officers.

The "banana thing"😂 in the Warren's haunted artifacts is, I think, a rhinoceros horn? Or the tip of an elephant's tusk or something? A piece of ivory anyway. (Just a guess, but that's what it looks like.)

The sound wasn’t from her eyes opening, her eyes were opening in reaction to the sound. The sound was the gunshot.

I love that When Valek puts its hand on the old man’s shoulder , the detail of the hand being a wierd 3 fingered non human black creepy ass appendage but with the nun figure as the rest shows VAlek is a demon, , the black hand it’s actuall appearance showing us the nun appearance is just what chooses to appear to be to mock the Catholic Church . In the painting scene notice it had 2 humanike hands but in Annabelle creation thst demons hands are the same black 3 princes thing.

Everytime I watch one of these scary movies it reminds me of stuff I went through most of my life. Every property I have lived at has had ‘something’ in it. The worst one was probably an old property back in Texas. It was a former cotton plantation and when we dug up the ground for the septic tank, stuff started happening in our mobile home. It started as seeing a shadow man and gradually got more activity. My mom and I would see tall cloaked things hanging outside our doorways. I could never leave a door open, ESPECIALLY the closets. One time I forgot to close my closet door and I saw a very tall shadowman walk out from it and stare at me. The moonlight was coming i n through my window, a full moon, nice and bright. But this thing was pitch dark. I could tell it was looking at me, but I couldn’t see a face, only the head. It walked to the end of my bed and stared at me. Then I saw it descend like it was in an elevator. I wanted to get up and run but I was afraid it was under the bed, so I covered myself until I fell asleep. I moved into my brothers room the next morning 😅. I could wait a little longer to have my own room lmao Later, when my sister got the room, we were all in the room watching tv and my step dad came in to say something (he was an awful drunk btw) and while we were sat listening the walls started oozing this orange-red liquid. We all stopped and he stopped talking and looked. He didn’t bother us the rest of the night lmao. Theres WAY more stories but those are the ones I felt like telling. 😂

Valak(the nun)isn't real, the nun was made up for the film, the demon is but unlike in this, in the real story the demon had nothing to do with it, however Bill Wilkins was real, and he was possessing the girl in the real story but he wasn't being aggressive or evil.

The belief behind angels and demons being able to move things and manipulate stuff isn’t by physical biengs, it’s the same concept as Christian faith , a true belief in something you can’t see which is true. The idea of going to church weekly is to build that faith and belief in God and in Christianity God is light , Satan is darkness so the more your even try to believe , the more light is near you and darkness can’t exist in the same side as light . Faith has its opposite as well adn that’s fear. God , faith, love , lights , angels , protection and the Hoosier is Satan, demons, darkness, and FEAR, the opposite of faith. In most Christian religions that belief is the same and the more faith and work you put in , good things happen, angels guide you,..but the opposite is everything bad, as angels and God can bless you for having faith and hoping , Satan and demons gains strength off FEAR and any bad feelings , hatred, anger , sin etc. like most accounts , demonic activity starts like Ed said, a feeling you’re being watched , a sound here and there and jsut like faith, if you hear a knock in the night, you believe you 100% heard it, that’s putting 100% faith in that action created by a demon whether actually or Satan and his angles (demons) are the opposite of truth, lies , just like Christian’s believe having faith and positive thoughts brings happy feelings, a knock in the night which could be a lie or manipulation of a demon to jsut you becasue that would require the least energy, thst sexolained to be why in accounts often the other family members don’t hear anything , a trick of the mind and the more fear an evil presesnce can get from someone, the more it’s able to do becasue you’re actually believing you’re hearing those things. Once it gets fear rolling good or goes from random sounds or feelings to not just trying to get you to acknowledge it but now focussed on scaring you , using fear and anger to push the light further away. Sounds start comming in 3’s sometimes at this state which is to mock the Trinity , so 3 Knocks is bad. The idea of haunted houses does have a basis in Christianity in that if a hime , like in conjuring 1 thst actuslly did house an accused witch thst hung herself and did kill her child . Think of how much evil, bad juju, hatred and anger and fear were in thst hime at that time. Pushes all the light out of thst space. If horrific events happened in the home, there wouldn’t be any light In there horrible things are like tar and not easily removed which is why all christin religions can get their homes blessed if they feel off. The entire Perron family was in horrible fear so that house was effed but according to them the resin they stayed in it was when Ed Warren cast the evil out of the home, they all said it felt like a heavy sad wet blanket was lifted off then and they never had a tiger incident. The moving of physical items if that actually happens goes back to how much faith the I person is being inflicted. The Bible says you can move a ohh so mountain with perfect faith it you’re not moving the mountain, the angels , God and Faith move it. When escalates and fear really starts setting in demonic presences become more and mate capable of moving things etc .like Ed ssaid, Christianity believes Satan and his angels do this , so much war and fear and lies and loss thst it’s not hard to slip up but the more you believe you hear things etc the attainder it’s getting . These principles are why a believer can feel terrified while a family menett. Ext tk hiu doesn’t feel it see a thing f becasue they so surely belief none of that’s reaal becasue they’ve believed that stuff isn’t real at all, so they have NO belief it’s real or whatever so a demon would have a difficult time with this thing so it has no way to mess with them . effective.
