The F1 thing sounds like the biggest scam and ripoff ever. I've been to F1 races in similar situations. You can't see SHIT. Everything is just speeding by and you only see the cars for a few seconds at best. Totally not worth it!!

Agreed, and you just see a small fraction of the course. Buy straight away section of the course and that's all you see. Buy a seat on a curve and you just see the cars go round that curve. Gets boring real fast. Oh yes, and then the noise and breathing all those toxic exhaust gases, PU!

@@MH_6160 I'm wondering if there's some sort of plan to at least install trees in super large containers that can be moved and relocated when needed. Obviously they can't plant new trees, just to cut them down every year, so hopefully there's an alternative.

It's partly a safety thing to prevent people from causing a big jam on the overpasses. They even do this in other race venues I've been to, where the overpass is only accessible with a ticket for entry. Now if they start putting up barriers to keep hotels from seeing it, that's just being greedy.

Blocking sight lines for safety reasons??😂😂 Are you seriously that naive?? The town blocks views of it's most popular attraction for a small percentage of wealthy people to watch 2 seconds of noisy smelly cars wiz by a few times...but blocked overpasses are d/y safety! Wake up & smell the burning rubber. I won't be surprised if they restrict people without tickets to stay inside the casinos!

@@vegaslady3732 I disagree. People want to see the race, and from different vantage points. Without these screens the overpasses would be impossible to cross, filled with people trying to see the race and photographers. I've been to quite a few races, and I have indeed smelled the burning rubber and this is standard procedure to keep the walkways moving. But in my opinion, an F1 race down the strip is one of the stupidest things that could've been done. It's awful for the locals and the tourists. The only reason it's happening is because it'll bring in money.

@@JasonFrankenstein I agree that utilizing the strip is amazingly stupid, but not that this event will bring in millions of dollars. Room rates have been dropping as have ticket prices. Vlogs from people who are avoiding LV vacations bc of FI & the disfigurement it has caused are plentiful , and the inability/difficulty to walk around has been ongoing for weeks which is impacting income for businesses. Add on the multi-millions spent to prepare & repair before and after. Will all this be recovered by the minority race fans? Time will tell, but IMO, no.

We were just in vegas. You can't see the bellagio or other resorts from the strip. There are grandstands in front of these resorts. It's awful.

In my personal big dumb guy opinion... I don't think the Mirage volcano will be turned back on. They say its off for F1, but seems to me they won't turn it back on due to the construction that's gonna start shortly thereafter. I have a feeling we may not see it "on" again. I hope I'm wrong.

Jacob you're videos are awesome. I had to watch some of your old videos to see how far you've come. From single topic videos to what you have now. Now, it's just a single source vegas channel. Like I just turned on the tv in my hotel room. Weather, attractions, new developments, do's and don't. Vegas, vegas vegas. I'm not in vegas, but I feel connected and when it's time for a visit I feel like I already know all the things to go and do. Keep up the great work, and I hope you are making a decent wage from all this great content. Keep on.

I dont know about that but is it really his business? Maybe just lower the fee or make it if you actually use the amenities you have to pay. All the times I have been to Vegas which is a lot since my mom lives there, I used the pool once but it was too hot.

@carasmussen27 Once they get the revenue from those fees while still providing less service, There's 0 % chance they will ever eliminate or make them conditional. I'm not going back, I'll make the trip to Reno instead and I have a casino about an hour away here. If I were to ever return, I'd be well off strip.

Stay at harrahs, flamingo, or the linq, they all touch each other (an alley between). Caesar’s is a ten minute walk for a mobile person - to ANYWHERE else.

Crazy to think, But it does seem like the F1 construction chaos and to be fair, more issues, will push Twitchcon out of Las Vegas immediately. Consensus and official announcements are saying it was just not the right fit and was super inconvenient with increased time, transportation and food costs. I don't know a single streamer who thinks it should return. I'm sad for anyone who visited for the first time and experienced such a diminished time even as the actual conference was a success.

I will NOT be going to Vegas in November like I usually do because of the F1. Perhaps in April only. Not April and November like I usually do. Oh well I'll save my money or go to Laughlin or Reno.
