Jay will you please remember that August 16th Elvis will be gone 44 years and almost two generations a little over he still has twice as many fans as he did when he passed cuz I have once told you he only had a 22-year career just imagine what he could have done if it had lived to be in his seventies or older he was the Entertainer of the Year excuse me of the century the 20th century I don't know how many if it's some of his records have been broken them records that he made not LPS but record somebody said Justin Bieber had broken one of Elvis's records I'm not sure which one but he still Remains The King and more and more Young Folks on RU-vid or discovering him they start out playing one Elvis song if I could dream or in the ghetto and first thing you know they all into Elvis I've been watching this go on now for the last year how many singers that you know that's been gone as long as Elvis I'm not sure how many Gold Records are platinum records or double platinum records he had but you can look it up I can look it up on Google so I don't know which record it was that Justin Bieber broke maybe the most number one songs I'm not even sure because I like Justin Bieber when he was first come on the scene but I think you got too carried away not that I have anything against hip-hop or rap music but I'm a 76 old white lady who still loves the king I say that August 16th should be Elvis day American classic movies ran 4/5 of his movies the other night I really enjoy that and they used to on January 8th his birthday they play Elvis music all over AKA Elvis Junkie

The lead singer Allan Clarke has been married to his wife for over 50 years. The Hollies are my favorite group next to the Beatles. I love watching the younger generation listen to music I grew up on and enjoy the songs. My kids are in their 30's and 40's and I've taught them all about the music I grew up on in the 60's-70's. Now I teach my Grand Kids. LOL You are a very sweet soul, keep listening, there is so much more for you to love.

The Hollies are a very interesting band. They've gone through so many different iterations and lineups since they were formed in 1962 and they're still active today with a different lineup. Maybe one or two members are original, I haven't kept track lately. But they were co-founded by Graham Nash in 1962, and he left the band in 1968 to join Steven Stills of Buffalo Springfield and David Crosby from The Byrds to form their iconic group Crosby, Stills, and Nash.

There is an historical rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester that, geographically, makes no sense. They are, after all, right next to each other! But perhaps in that competition we're gifted with some great outcomes. The Hollies were a hit-making machine in the mid to late 1960s, formed by lead singer Allan Clarke and tenor Graham Nash (who later went on to become a third of country rock giants Crosby, Stills & Nash) and somehow remain underrated. This tune was originally written and recorded by Albert Hammond and is one of the group's later hits. Possibly as a result of this, Hammond was perhaps less concerned about Radiohead's use of the verse melody on 'Creep' than some have made out.
@Isleofskye
@Isleofskye 2 года назад
Surely your rivalry came from Bill Shankly creating a World force in Liverpool Football Club to match Sir Matt Busby's brilliant Manchester United team(s) and The Beatles also coming onto the scene then and becoming The World's biggest selling Singles and Album Artists of all time ::)
