Great job sir. The John MacArthurs made me a miserable wreck for decades. When I first got saved I became a Jesus freak overnight and was full of love and joy and told everyone about this grace from Jesus Then I met the John MacArthurs of the world. My joyless prison sentence began. Think I got re saved at least a 1,000 times It’s a bit funny now. But when you doubt your salvation because of sin. And hell awaits you. There is NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT IT I’m free and joyful again. Hallelujah

5-Point Calvinists are a cancer demanding that they be accepted as Christians. I do not. I mark them, as we are told to expose false teachers preaching another gospel to what Paul preached. True full blown Calvinists are not even saved let alone Christians. Christians are Christians! Calvinists are Calvinists! Mormons are Mormons! Calvinists believe god created all things, and controls all things, predetermined all things, and made all things exactly the way they are. ... thus god also created evil. therefore since Calvinists believe god created evil. they are blaspheming against the holy spirit ... the only unforgivable sin. Calvinists also believe the only people who will be saved have been predetermined by god. and since Calvinists believe god predetermined who will be saved ... they have removed free will - the gift of god to humans, and removed Jesus from the equation. since god (according to Calvinists) has already determined who will be saved ... (and who will not be saved) ... those who will be saved do not need Christ and those who will not be saved cannot come to christ. thus Calvinists are not Christians. Yet if they are still breathing and have a heart beat they can turn to Christ and he will forgive them. A fool says in his heart that he is wise. A fool is seen for what they are by those with discernment. Reader know this, I post these things for you to be warned of the heresy people like this spew out. Their god is calvi-god and calvi-jesus which are a figment made up out of their imagination. Jesus loves you and wants to save you. Simply turn to Him and ask for forgiveness and follow Him. Simple. Jesus died for all, calls all, and desires all people to be saved. Most people don't want that and refuse. Few choose to follow. Psalm 145:9 The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. So do you see the schizophrenia of falling for a lie as big as Satan's number one tool? Calvinism! It is schizophrenia! Truth in love

If salvation requires me to have works, then the death on the cross was only partially redeeming. 1. God is pure love: therefore, he should let us into Heaven, no matter what we do. 2. God is Holy: therefore, since we're sinful beings, He cannot let us into Heaven, no matter what we do. (1), and (2) above are absolutely true, yet they contradict each other. What's the solution ? 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

L W if you’re such a good christian then why do your fruits smell? You’re name calling and seem angry overall. The lordship salvation cult is led by a spirit, but it’s definitely not the Holy Spirit. The true Gospel Preaches trusting in Christ, not our own works and ability. We have inherited a sinful nature through Adam and Eve with the first sin ever committed in the Garden of Eden. In our flesh dwells no good thing and therefore if we try to live perfect lives like Jesus did, that shows God that we don’t trust in his finished work on the cross. When you live in “Lordship” you live in fear and anxiety that you aren’t doing enough for the lord and that is exactly what makes it a doctrine of the devil! Perfect love casteth our fear! Jesus gives us rest! No I’m not saying it’s okay live a life of sin, all I’m saying is we need to put our trust in God and let him do the work in you. And over time God will perfect the good work he has begun within us all!

Read the whole chapter. 1 John is written to believers about fellowship with God. When we "know" someone we have intimacy and relationship with that person. The way we know (have fellowship) with Him is by keeping His commandments. The apostle John is crystal clear. If you believe that Jesus is the Christ you are born of God, you will never perish, and have everlasting life.

@@garyleemusic reread the chapter. John says in his gospel. John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. Knowing Jesus is having eternal life. So if one doesn't know Jesus then he doesn't have eternal life. So that changes the meaning you had for 1 John 2:3-4. 1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. People are exposed by their deeds. Whether they are children of God or of satan

I have just finished reading The Welsh Revival: Its Origin and Development by Thomas Philips. The writer explains how this mighty movement of God's Spirit upon the hearts and minds of men commenced through the instrumentality of Humphrey Jones, a Wesleyan preacher , and David Morgan, a Calvinistic Methodist and spread like a wild fire from one district to another, resulting in numerous prayer meetings among peoples of various religious affiliations--Independents, Baptists, Wesleyans and Calvinistic Methodists (over 3000 converts were added to the Calvinistic Methodists alone). The writer, who is is as familiar with the various religious sectors of the Christian church in Wales as he is the entire principality of Wales--who even visited scenes of the revival, notes carefully about the nature of the revival that "On every occasion care is taken to instruct the people in the true and unchangeable principles of religion. They are cautioned against resting in mere outward profession. They are told that excitement is not conversion, that an awakening of the conscience to a sense of guilt and danger does not always result in a change of heart. It is strongly and constantly urged that whatever hope or confidence they may have in their own minds as to having 'passed from death unto life' ; it is a mistake, a delusion, unless it is accompanied by hatred of sin and , and a renunciation of it in every shape and form; love to holiness, and a practical discharge of every moral duty. In short, they are exhorted to seek a thorough change of heart and to furnish evidence thereof in holiness of life." The writer carefully notes that thing that characterized all the reports of revival in various areas was a wide array of public prayer meetings springing up in many different places in response to other prayer meetings. . Many public places of ill repute became places for prayer meetings and the spirit and power of prayer accompanied the preaching of the Gospel throughout the revival. Thomas Phillips points out: "This revival has had no Luther or Calvin, Whitefield or Wesley, Rowlands or Harries; and the absence of great names, while at the same time a mighty and spiritual work has been done, will the more effectually secure the gory to Him who alone gives the increase"/ He further states: "In a recent Welsh newspaper, there is an excellent letter from" a clergyman , in which he says, "What is the revival? Repentance for sin, faith in the only Savior, peace with God, joy in the Holy Ghost , and newness of life". So, why did I write all this? Because I, like many others, am tired of all the stupid and ridiculous posts I see on the internet that not only criticize and attack the biblical Doctrines of Grace (what is biblical Calvinism, not hyper-Calvinism) but even claim that Calvinists are not saved--and at the heart of much of the controversy is the question of Lordship salvation. Yes, when I was saved (over 41 years ago) I looked in Spirit-wrought repentance and faith to Jesus Christ (John --3:14---16) and trusted Him alone --in His finished work (His death and resurrection)-- to save me from sin. And, may I add my conversion to Christ included all of the above "Repentance for sin, faith in the only Savior , peace with God, joy in the Holy Ghost and newness of live "( Acts 16:31; Acts 11:18; 2 Corinthians 5:17, etc. I confess I did not know anything about Lordship salvation at that time, but I do know that my heart and life was spiritually transformed from the inside out though the mighty working of God's Spirit and faith in Jesus Christ. I have met many other Christians whose life of obedience and faith in Christ attests to their genuine conversion, who also never even heard of Lordship salvation when they were saved, but just as I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, as scripture intimates: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31) , "If you will confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God had raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9), I know they also received Him as their personal Lord and Savior from sin. Since I have been saved, I have read much on the question of Lordship salvation--both pros and cons, good and bad. . And yes, I do believe we must accept Christ as both Lord and Savior from sin if we are truly saved or converted. We do not make Him Lord. He already is Lord. We receive Him as He is in salvation--in His Person and work of redemption--namely, Lord and Savior, but I caution against reading into that, as some do, far more than what scripture says, even claiming that Lordship salvation is really a works-righteousness belief system. No, it is not. God bless.

Um...yeah. No man is righteous, no not one. Lordship Salvation is not saying we have to be perfect but that we are all sinners and the struggle against sin is constant. You don't have to hit all 9 points & be "perfect," we are washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. Christ's offer of salvation is good enough for salvation. But if that's all there was to it, why does Paul say to "take captive your thoughts" and why does Jesus preach Repentance? Why does it say in the Book of James "Faith without works is dead" (James 2:14-26, KJV) -- do you just ignore this part of the Bible? "14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?" You can't lose your salvation, but the caveat is that you actually have to be saved in the first place. Works will not get you into heaven, but Works are a natural outflow of true faith. Most people don't even know what "faith" is yet they claim to be Christian. Months later a lot of them get caught up in the world again and there is no growth. I've seen people fall away because "Easy Grace" has NO follow-through. Many people think just because they voice their acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ that this is good enough. It is as long as you go on to change and grow as a Christian, seeking the face of the Lord. Even the apostle Paul had his struggles. No we can't ever be "perfect," but we have to at least try to strive for righteousness. Jesus preached repentance all throughout His ministry, as did His disciples in the Book of Acts. John the Baptist didn't go around dunking people for no reason at all - the Bible wouldn't have mentioned it if it wasn't important to make a declaration of faith.
@jillianclayton1192
@jillianclayton1192 5 лет назад
The question is more of true belief than of whether or not a person thinks they're saved. If they believe on Jesus Christ, without a doubt, then they are saved. The problem is better said as, do they really believe in Jesus? That's ultimately for them to decide. Do they scoff at parts of the Bible? All of it is the Word - Jesus is the Word Made Flesh. Many churches these days do not teach the full Bible. They simply don't. They may baptize someone but then they leave them on their own, and there's very little follow-through. I only commented in the first place because I've seen far too many people who claimed they were saved only fall away again, never to go back. True, they might not have been saved in the first place, which means they said the words but didn't mean them, and didn't take them to heart. People get hung up on whether or not one believer thinks another is "saved" or not. That's not the question I ask. I don't even want an answer from them, I'm just leaving the question for them to ask themselves. They don't have worry about what another person thinks of them, but they do need to consider what Jesus will say. We all will get judged one day on the Bema Seat and we will still have to answer to Jesus.
@jillianclayton1192
@jillianclayton1192 5 лет назад
OK...then why does Jesus chastise 5 of the 7 churches in Revelations Ch. 2-3? Do we simply ignore it? The "churches" Jesus is talking to in those passages are _saved believers._ If repentance doesn't matter, if "overcoming" the world/flesh doesn't matter, why mention it at all? I'm not saying we should prove our worthiness through Works, but in our Faith. I don't see where MacArthur's 9 points differs with that statement. I agree, Praise Jesus.

Thank you for better representing what most Christians believe “Lordship salvation” to actually mean. It is absolutely not a works-based understanding. I grew up among preachers who very frequently made claims about other theological stances like this. I perceive it is either pride (I’m the only one in this town who is right kind of attitude) or some root of bitterness that leads at least some preachers to behave this way.

The problem with LS isn’t that they make Jesus Lord of their life. The problem is that they’re putting their FAITH in the WORKS they are doing for him and not in Jesus ALONE. Those who believe in LS are 💯 putting their trust in what they do for the Lord and trying to prove their salvation by doing good things. Salvation is a free GIFT from God. Why is it so hard for y’all to understand that? You don’t work or earn a free gift! You simply, with childlike faith, accept that gift. No strings attached and no requirement of doing anything to earn or work for it. It blows my mind how hard this simple issue of salvation has become. False teachers have destroyed the Gospel of Grace.

If a person is anti-christ, and is proclaiming Christ, aren't they a wolf? Are they not a part of the body, yet living for self? It seems to me the "you shall know a tree by the fruit it bears" verse would apply. Our lives will have fruit, though we may not see it or understand it all. There is fruit of salvation and there is fruit of destruction. Though we may be guilty of both as Christians in a temporal sense, the consistency of our life will be towards the fruit of salvation. We as men are a poor judge because of ignorance, and we may show that ignorance in trying to determine who is saved and who isn't. I'm still not ready to throw away salvation that leads to Jesus being the Lord of your life. "Well done good and faithful servant". I don't think he's gonna say that if it isn't true, by God's grace. As Christians we can disagree with this and still have love, love to you all.

The epic battle we all face as those who want to be able to approach a Holy God and be with Him forever … one who is unapproachable by the unholy (sinful), is to battle against sin in our own lives even to the point of blood. "By the renewing of our mind we are transformed," - Romans 12:2 - and we are therefore making a choice to, either: 1. Conform to the pattern of this world - which, God did not plan the sins thereof: "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world," - 1 John 2:16; or, 2. "Renew our mind and be transformed, to prove that good and acceptable, perfect will of the Father," - Romans 12:2 Which is to produce such fruit as one living in the Spirit, "doing everything, heartily, as unto the Lord, and not as unto man," - Colossians 3:23, and the fruit of the Spirit will become one accord with such action, as Galatians 5:22, 23 illustrates, being "loving, joyful, peaceful, longsuffering, good, gentle, faithful, meek and in self-control, against which there is no law." None of this determines our being saved. We are saved from sin and death because we have believed we are sinners, fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), and that Jesus Christ paid our sin debt in full on the cross, conquering, indeed, sin and death there - and there is nothing we can do to add to that, but believe we are forgiven. Forgiven, therefore, and at that time, filled with the Holy Spirit, we're convicted unto Salvation, and "even though we might condemn ourselves thereafter, God is greater than our heart, and knows everything," - 1 John 3:20, and his grace is sufficient, where - while we are yet, still, in this world, are fallible, ever pursuing truth, yet fallen in a fallen world, and desperately must, daily, thank the Lord for his great sacrifice and "humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord," - James 4:10, and he is faithful and true and "he will lift you up." It's not about bragging that - either, as a "SINLESS" person you have lived 7 years, 8 months, and 14 minutes without sin since you were convicted; nor, about whether you believe you're saved and can keep on sinning just as before you came to Christ; but - The humility which you honestly continue your walk in the sight of the Lord, ever mindful (Romans 12:2) - that to know it a sin and do it; or, to know not to do something, and end up not doing it anyway, means one must, at such times, ask forgiveness of God, and he will be faithful to forgive you and, nevertheless, continue to "be the lamp unto your feet and light unto your path," - Psalm 119:105, but not without consequence, i.e. Psalm 91:1 - "He who dwells in the secret place of the most high, shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty," also means - he who does NOT dwell in the secret place of the most high, shall NOT abide in the shadow of the Almighty. The question is - do you want to continue to get sunburned?

@@garyleemusic can you give me an example of born again Christian living in sin, yet they are still saved?
@PastorCarpie
@PastorCarpie 15 дней назад
Lordship salvation is not the same as regeneration salvation (not a Calvinist here). I preach regeneration salvation--that when you are born again, your nature and very root system changes, and your fruit comes out of your new nature. If one is not born again (regenerated), one cannot see the Kingdom of God. A living branch can be cut from a dying tree and grafted onto a new tree. If the branch does not take root--that is, grow into the new tree with the tree growing into the branch, the branch is dead and must be burned. If it does so, it abides, and if it abides, it bears fruit. Fruit is ONE of the evidences we can look at in our lives to see if we are saved for this reason, but Peter was clear that Christians CAN go through periods of fruitlessness, and Jesus was clear that not everyone bears the same amount of fruit. At any rate, the fruit doesn't save nor is it the ONLY evidence one is saved. I have had a conversation in which someone said that he saw no evidence in his life that he was saved, because he struggled with sin. I asked, "Did you struggle with sin before coming to Christ?" "Well, no." There's your evidence. That struggle against sin in itself is fruit. I'm not talking about works-based salvation but salvation-based works. We can't let people think that they can "decide for Christ" and then go back out into the world and live like the devil either, because being born again means we are new creatures with new natures. I would also caution people who are saying whether others are saved or not. Job was called righteous by God Himself, but as you read the book, Job and his buddies had some bad theology (called retribution theology). Yet, despite bad theology, they were saved if you look at Job 42.

Comes across as a typical fundamentalist Baptist who doesn’t take the time to know what other Christian’s actually believe. I grew up in this environment of loose preaching and am eternally grateful God kept me from straying from His church. Sadly massive majority of the friends I grew up with, all who claimed belief in Jesus Christ as Savior, with have left Church or committed suicide. This lazy style of handling scripture and apologetics eventually bears disillusionment within the local flock, and propagates unholy division among believers. You can “know” the fruits of individuals by its quality - no quantification required.

He's just adding to the confusion over how one attains to eternal life rather than receiving a 'depart from me I never knew you.' He really needs to think this through more clearly rather than just attacking something called 'lordship salvation,' which can be cashed out in different ways. There's always a way to disagree if you define words and terms a certain way. Forget that, define your terms your way (if you have to use squishy terms), and then give a clear and coherent exposition of salvation, looking at as many related bible passages as you can squeeze in in the time you have. All these little personal anecdotes and illustrations are ridiculous.

You miss the doctrine of regeneration sir. If someone has graciously been justified by faith, then they will no doubt surrender to Christ as Lord. If someone has been justified by faith, they will bear fruit. When you receive the Holy Spirit, He teaches us to say “no” to ungodliness. It is by grace, through faith, and for the glory of God.

John 15:1-8 says otherwise. Not every branch in the vine bears fruit. But they are still apart of the vine. If they don’t produce fruit they are lifted up, and those who do bear fruit are pruned and cleaned to produce more fruit. But both branches are still apart of the vine (Jesus)

Lordship salvation is works-based salvation - it's a big deception out there. No amount of good works could ever save ourselves. So then God Almighty became a man through His Son Jesus, who never sinned. He was perfectly righteous. He died for our sins. He rose from the dead. His righteousness was imputed to us who believe in Him. He did all of this because we were utterly incapable of saving ourselves. Lordship salvation focuses on our works. The true gospel is focused on Christ alone - faith alone - grace alone.

The problem with free grace teaching is that sinners are deceived because they are not under grace. The Apostle Paul said that he was no longer a sinner after he came to know Jesus and received the Holy Spirit. Paul said, "At one time (past tense) we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior..." Titus 3:3-6 Notice, Paul said that Jesus saved them from disobedience through the Holy Spirit. Paul became a true man of God who preached against sin. It wouldnt make sense for a sinner to preach against sin. The bible calls that a hypocrite which Paul was not. Paul also told us that Jesus only gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey him. Paul said, "And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him." Acts 5:32 Scripture says that Paul was not a sinner and sinners do not have the Holy Spirit living in them

You’re totally confused. You have to have an understanding of the two natures of the believer. You see, when a person gets saved, he is born again of incorruptible seed (Jesus) and is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. He has a new nature now. But his old sinful nature STILL REMAINS with him. Your old nature doesn’t go away when you get saved. That’s why we all still sin after salvation. It’s the old man that sins, but the new man NEVER SINS because he is born of God. That’s why there’s a battle with the flesh and the spirit. Romans 8:5-11 NKJV For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. [6] For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. [7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. [8] So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. [9] But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. [10] And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. [11] But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. [17] For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. [18] But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. [19] Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, [20] idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, [21] envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. [24] And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. [25] If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. [26] Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

@@LauderdaleBaptist Jesus heals us from our sin. Sin is equal to having an addiction. He's given us a path to walk that leads us *OUT* of it. Without Him, we are lost to reconciliation with God and we will die in our sin. Revelation 2 and 3 are crystal clear that He expects His people to overcome sin. It's the same message He gave in the Gospel. Christianity has no clue who He really is. Your religion is a satanic cult that teaches hypocrisy. @@John-mu2js So if you die tonight, you haven't overcome your sin yet then. That means you would go to hell. My Jesus overcame sin for me so I wouldn't have to worry about that. My Jesus imputed his righteousness on me the second I accepted his sacrifice for my sins. Romans 4:5 KJV But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Hopefully you overcome sin before you die. From what I understand, if you put yourself under the law for salvation, you can't sin one time or you go to hell. Being that you just said you hate your sin, that means you're in trouble. You, know, that is plain dead. You might as well face it Jesus Christ is the same Yesterday today and forever. You cannot change who he is. You cannot recognize him as your Saviour, and not recognize him as your Lord. You are dissecting the Gospel. Jesus went preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom. He said the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world.You can't receive Jesus as Saviour without receiving him as Lord, and you can't receive Jesus as Lord without receiving him as Saviour. And he is neit Lord nor Saviour if you don't have victory over sin. "You shall call his name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins". God can't save us unless we work out our salvation, and we can't be saved unless God draws us. They are connected, quit trying to split what can't be split. "It is God that workers in us both to will and to do his good pleasure". I think in your theology, you've missed the real jem, that we are a holy nation and a royal priesthood. You know about it, but I doubt you know it.

The Bible tells us Church of Christ that we are saved by the blood of Christ and how can we who are dead to sin live any longer therein and that the blood of Christ continually cleanses us. We are to do the works of our Father. Why are these people so opposed to the Lordship of God? Paul said a little leaven leaventh the whole lump. What is the fruit of the Spirit but love-joy-kindness-gentleness meekness. These are to be in us and about. If we have these point's we won't need to run to the club, smoke weed with the guys, etc. Are you going to take advantage of the grace that cost Jesus His life to forgive us our sins. You are falling right into Satan's hands, indeed all America, fighting one another instead of Him. I along with Paul say have I become your enemy because I tell you the truth. Study guys, thats all I am saying. Sounds like this preacher is mad because we are preaching against sin but why, Jesus told the woman caught in adultery to go and sin no more. Why, did she have enough guts to tell the next guy no? Being a Christian is not for sissies we got to work at it and if we are found faithful heaven will be our home.

DEAR REPRESENTATIVE OF FLBC, FIRST MY SINCERE APOLOGIES, I WAS BEING AN ASS WITH MY OP - SORRY. MY POINT WAS THAT IF THERE IS NO OBIDEINCE TO CHRIST AFTER SALVATION, THEN THERE EXIST NO SALVATION. UPON SALVATION WE REALIZE WE ARE A PURCHASED POSSESSION OF THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, WE OWE HIM OUR VERY NEXT BREATH - BUT WE REALIZE SOMETHING FAR MORE AMAZIBG, AND THAT; HE LOVES US! WE LOVE HIM BECAUSE HE LOVED US FIRST, AND IT IS OUT OF THAT LOVE THAT WE WANT WITH ALL OF OUR HEARTS TO BE OBIDIENT CHILDREN - SO WE WORK IN THE KINGDOM OF OUR FATHER - NOT OUT OF DUTY, BUT OUT OF LOVE. Tit 2.11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. [KJB] PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO VERSE 14; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. [KJB] NOT THE WORKS OF THE COVENANT LAW OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL - BUT THE GOOD WORKS OF CHRIST, FROM LOVE, FOR OUR FATHER, CHRIST, THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND OUR FELLOW MAN! CALL THAT WHAT YOU WILL (LORDSHIP SALVATION, ETC.), BUT IF LORD GOD OF ISRAEL HAS NOT REDEEMED YOU UNTO HIMSELF AND MADE YOU A PECULIAR PERSON ZEALOUS OF GOOD WORKS, THEN HE HAS NOT REDEEMED YOU AT ALL! I HOPE CHARLIE AND JEFFORY BOTH WERE SAVED, BUT SADLY I HAVE MY DOUBTS.

You're confusing doctrines of sanctification with doctrines of salvation. Jesus does the saving. We are obligated to live as holy disciples, but that is not what saves us or keeps us saved. You can have your doubts about the salvation of others, but that's really not our business as Christians, nor is it the great commission to go around doubting the salvation of those who profess faith in Jesus. No one is perfect but Jesus. We would do better to examine ourselves, rather than making ourselves the judge of other Christians. That's between them and God. GOOD GRIEF MAN! I AM CONFUSED ABOUT NOTHING! DID YOU EVEN READ MY POST?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WROTE IN MY LAST POST; "MY POINT WAS THAT IF THERE IS NO OBIDEINCE TO CHRIST AFTER SALVATION, ......." - I ABSOLUTELY DISTINGUISHED BETWEEN SALVATION AND THE WORK OF SANCTIFICATION IN OUR LIVES. READ THIS POST, OR DELETE AND DON'T RESPOND! IF WE TAINT GRACE WITH WORKS WE ARE ACCURSED, FOR THAT IS A FALSE GOSPEL - ALL THE WORKS WE DO TO TRY AND MERIT SALVATION (SACRAMENTS TO GAIN GRACE) ARE AS FILTHY RAGS TO GOD - WE MUST ONLY BELIEVE, AS PAUL TOLD THE PHILIPPIAN JAILOR! EVERY BAPTIST CAN QUOTE Eph. 2.8, 9 - BUT TO THE HORROR OF THE LORD, FOR IN SO DOING WE DESTROY THE IDEA (CONTEXTUAL IDEA) THE LORD HAD TO WRITE THOSE VERSES IN HIS WORD; Eph. 2.8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. [KJB] VERSE 10 COMPLETES THE IDEA BEGAN IN VS 8 - SALVATION IS APART FROM ALL WORKS OF MAN (GOD IS SOVEREIN EVEN IN THE SALVATION OF MAN) - THEN WE (WITH THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT) WORK OUT OUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING, WE ARE GIVEN SALVATION [A NONMETORIOUS GIFT] - THEN WITH THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WE DO GOOD WORKS AS AMBASSODORS FOR CHRIST. IF A PERSON DOES NOT OBEY THE HOLY SPIRIT'S DIRECTION INTO THE GOOD WORKS FOREORDAINED BY THE FATHER, THEN THAT PERSON DOES NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT NOR IS HE SAVED. SALVATION FIRST - THEN, AND ONLY THEN, WORKS ORDAINED BY THE FATHER FOR US TO DO, i.e. "GOOD WORKS". ARE YOU TO TELL ME THAT YOU BELIEVE A MAN TO BE SAVED AND REMAIN UNCHANGED BY THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL - TO NOT BE LEAD INTO GOOD WORKS - TO NOT BE LEAD BY LOVE - IF YOU PROMOTE THAT, THEN YOU PROMOTE A DANMEDABLE HERECY!

There are people who get saved and immediately give their lives to Christ. There are people who get saved and don't give their lives to Christ until many years later. there are people who get saved and never give their lives to Christ at all. There are people who get saved and give their lives to Christ and then take their lives back. You should stop judging other people's salvation and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. You are most certainly confused if you think that every person who gets saved immediately becomes holy and sinless. And if you admit that Christians can be carnal and still sin after salvation, then the question becomes: How much sin is too much? I personally got saved in 1999, yet I still lived the following 10 years of my life as if i had never known God. You can doubt my salvation all you want, but you can't send me to Hell no matter how hard you try because news flash, you're not God. And virtually screaming in ALL CAPS won't change that. lol
