Whether you are new to yoga, a seasoned practitioner, in great shape or dealing with physical limitations; you’ve come to the right place. My creative blend of yoga and functional strengthening movement will challenge everyone but is doable for anyone.
Disclaimer: the movements I offer are designed to address strength, balance and mobility for those with low bone density, but any physical activity can result in injury so do so at your own risk.

I enjoyed this warm up, thank you for clearing up some of the confusion about cat and cow.

My doctor was aghast when I told her about keeping the spine absolutely straight, no rounding at all. She pointed out functional movement is essential. Thanks Susannah!

I have been feeling like I was just preparing my body for injury by not using it fully. My husband has also been baffled by these restrictions. Thanks for sharing

Glad to have some validation for what I've been thinking/feeling/doing. It's been five years since I was diagnosed with OP in my spine* at 51, and it never made sense to me to stop moving my spine. I don't go to extremes or push hard into it, and I had stopped rolling up one vertebra at a time, but I always felt if it felt good now, then keeping movement was better than stopping and getting creaky. And, it seems mobility and doing exercises for mobility is 'all the rage' so there appears to be lots of support for this attitude. Time will tell I guess. Thank you, Susannah! *I know OP anywhere is OP everywhere, but my numbers continue to show osteopenia only in my hips.

It makes sense to prepare our spines for movements we can’t help but find ourselves in daily. Thanks, Susannah!

Oh my gosh! I did this once, loved it then forgot it. I just found it again and it was exactly what I needed. I’m going to do this every morning - even before coffee. That’s how much I liked it!

Thank you for bringing these movements back into my practice in a safe way. Even though I've continued with safe yoga since my osteoporosis diagnosis, I feel as if I've lost much of the flexibility I had gained. At 74, it's important to me to use it or risk losing it.

Loved it. Totally agree that it’s important that the spine be able to move. Otherwise it becomes rigid and that can create issues that we do t want. Plus, we move our spine in everyday life!!

Susannah, what a wonderful warm-up! I loved the last section with the leg work! I have been missing my Yoga a tad! Swimming a good bit, however your channel always brings things into Yoga Focus, thank you! 🥰

I subscribed to the “use it or lose it” motto. I want a strong back and core so was happy to hear from you to include spinal flexi on and twists in a safe manner. Thanks!
