Exactly! The "traditional" theory is that you HAVE to be married to a cis person of opposite gender AND you have to be miserable in doing so! Even if the "traditional gender roles" (caring, cleaning and cooking for women, working, making money, fixing things for man) are respected, they STILL have to fight because they can't respect what the other does! (how are we not extinct at this point?!?)

The sad thing about the sheep drawing is that originally, the crowd of sheep were all just white, then the other was coloured with the trans flag, and it said, 'whoa whoa whoa...we kicked him out .... I know, and I found her.' The original artist is anything but transphobic.
Yeah I think the worst part of these super straight "drawings" is that they are just recolors of LGBT+ artists work. Artists who most likely do not agree with the sentiment that is being portrayed by the recolor. I haven't seen a single one that was the super straight individuals original work.

3:25 Okay, so we’ve addressed all the homophobia and sexism in that Twitter reply, but can we talk about the incredibly random ableism too? The funny thing about the sheep meme is that it’s originally a wholesome gay meme about a correct way to view the love of Jesus. In other words, transphobes can’t make a good meme to safe their lives unless they steel it from a gay person. Edit: yeah I know the super kid meme is originally about trans kids. I just thought that every knew about it, and less about the sheep. That’s it.
Darn, I was trying to put the original image url here, but I can’t. I will just say I agree. Well, I think the issue is that you cannot type URLs in the reply sections.
Sometimes it can be used to show work type or habits like little marks we are talking about character design right? Oh nope but my point of character design (all genders) stands.
I love that Jamie can tackle all the hate and misinformation with a sort of solemn resolve, but once the “you judge a woman’s character by her feet!” pops up, he’s just broken. 😂😂😂 That, “I’m so confused!” was hilarious.
I’m so upset that the transphobes took comics that were about the trans community and turned them into super straight comics. That’s actually horrid Edit: It appears my comment got so many likes that I attracted a few haters. Thanks to everyone who’s been defending the trans folks in the comments 💙💖
I feel sorry for Tameo because that comics been edited so much that just looking up their name comes up with so many cruel edits that defile the original meaning, I saw one where the transphobe strangles the masc one and I think rapes the fem one...
The one with the man commenting on the two women being together was absolutely disgusting. Women do not exist to cater to men. That goes for all women, even women that are attracted to men. Just because we're attracted to you doesn't mean you get to treat us like our purpose in life is to please you. We are our own people. Women should be loved, honored and respected, as should everybody else. No group of people exists to please any other. We're all equal and should be treated as such. If you're saying things to people like that man did in that post, you clearly have no respect or love for your fellow human and that makes you a disgusting person because it's not difficult to treat people respectfully and there's no excuse not to.
He’s so pleasant and kind. As a member of the transgender community and just starting to transition he inspires me so much and just make me feel like I’m not alone. Thanks jammi
yeah! that's why i'm so grateful for my parents. they're like soulmates! it truly seems rare to find something like that these days, everyone that i know has had their parents divorced or worse. it's really sad :(
This happens in a culture were they tell you, that you have to stick with the first petson that get you to drop panties: people tend to get stuck with a person they actually just wanted to fuck, not marry
The tissue one had me laughing. I played Ms. White in my high school's production of Clue and she had a similar line: "Men should be like kleenex. Soft, strong, and disposable." But the point being, it was highly insinuated that she murdered her previous five husbands. Anyways it strangely reminded me of good times.
The "two able-bodied men are on standby to have you as pretty wives" is wrong on so many levels, but even beyond the homophobia it's also weirdly ableist? Like, do they think women were lesbians because they didn't want to date disabled men? There's no answer that makes that guy look good.
I know I'm late to this or whatever but their statement also implies that they are 'entitled' to these ladies, and by them being lesbian?bi?/together they are robbing men of their wives 🤮
oh my god okay - so that sheep one is even more gross BECAUSE the original was made by an artist, the naked pastor, who is an lgbtq+ affirming christian. the original comic shows jesus returning a trans sheep to the flock. ugh i know the Straights aren’t okay, but really??
I remember seeing somewhere else that the "protect super kids" comic at 2:19 was also originally about protecting trans kids as well. This is becoming a disgusting trend.
I saw that one in the thumbnail and instantly had to click - I love Naked Pastors’ work and I’m so sorry they changed it into something gross ugh. Thanks for mentioning him as the original (awesome!) creator of the much better comic!
The comic with the trans person attacking the superstraight kid was originally the other way around, what makes it really funny to me because I imagine a superstraight person seeing the original and raging so much, they took their time to turn it the other way around
Un-fun fact: the comic at 2:19 is edited from its original. Originally it was a “Protect trans kids!” Comic. These transphobes make me more angry than I perpetually am
Superstraights sound like this: "Hi, I'm superwhite" What's super white "Its like normal white except I wont date blacks". Why dont you just admit you dont like black people "Silence, bigot!"
@@nukiradio also according to their logic being super-white would make them poc (as people claiming to be "superstraights" say it makes them lgbt somehow)

"I only want to date REAL woman" "That's literally transphobic" "WHAT IS THIS? OPRESSION?" "no, saying you'll only date real women implies that trans woman aren't woman. That's the textbook definition of transphobia." "Oh my heart, I feel weak from all this HORRID BIGOTRY!"
I feel like we can coopt these terms and turn them back on transphobes. Like what defines a «real» woman? Can’t we just say that real women are people who identify as women and people who aren’t real women are the people transphobes are trying to fit the women lable into who don’t want it? I’m not sure I made a whole lot og sense but you get the idea.
@@MissCaraMint define women as those who work to become one, inadvertently excluding like 90 percent of women who were just born that way. That’s how you’d turn their logic against them.
@@chrisbfreelance that's why in conversations regarding that stuff, the adjective cis gets used. Because otherwise you imply that trans women aren't real women, or that trans men aren't real men. It's about the implications of the language you use. Because the word woman, refers to all women, not just cis women.
About the "Women in Star Wars" art for LGBT+ Pride: The artist himself is a gay man, who was a big fan of Leia growing up. She was one of the first action heroes he saw who wasn't a straight male, and he credits her with opening up his childhood imagination to the possibility that anyone could be the hero of the story. So his art here was made with that in mind. Still a little out-of-season, I think, but at least it makes a little season in that context. Also, at least one of those women is canonically non-straight (in the novels - never mentioned in the movies), though you can barely see Admiral Holdo in the image tucked behind Mon Mothma. As far as the movies are concerned, the only confirmed non-straight characters are a featured extra in Rise of Skywalker and her partner. And Lando, maybe. He's described as pansexual outside of the films. But in the films we only see him showing an interest in human women and, maybe, female-coded droids. Do we have a term for "Straight but open to any sapient beings of the appropriate gender"?
I dont know how Jamie makes a sad and horrible subject into a video i pit on to help me calm down for bed. Jamie is such a cinnamon roll and i love how he is so funny and cute!
I think I unlocked a new level of "the straights not being ok". Observe: I am from Turkey. There is a famous volleyball player in our national team, they went to the last olympics so now this woman, Ebrar (that's her name) is quite famous. She is masc presenting and currently in a wlw relationship. I was talking about her with my family and my mother says "You know that that person isn't a woman, right?" I'm like "What do you mean by that, she is literally in the women'd national volleyball team, mom?!" Mom: She has a girlfriend... Me: The f does that have to do with people's gender identity?! So in conclusion, not only do "the straights" assume attraction can only be possible towards men, they also see being attracted to a women as an inherently masculine trait...🤮 I am queer by the way... Despite all that shit, "be yourself no matter what they say" as the legend Sting sings...And thanks for reading.
It does seem to be the case in Turkey where homosexuality is sometimes seen as another gender entirely. I am also from Turkey and I remember my mother telling me that people might think I'm homosexual and discriminate me as such when I tell people that I'm not the gender I was assigned at birth without telling them another gender in place of it (I prefer not to be gendered at all).
Oh I know that... it pisses me off so much when my parents are like "oh that person is probably gay" based on having observed feminine/masculine behavioral patterns. Even if they happen to be correct, that's just no... I say that when I myself am at least close enough to cis hetero that I have no issues identifying with it (I am of the opinion every person in the world may be just a tiny bit LGBT+).
2:19 This superstraight comic is actually stolen and recoloured. The original was about protecting trans kids, and someone just shoddily recoloured all instances of the trans pride flag into a black/orange/white/orange/black version (which is not even the proper (awful) superstraight flag). Tameo is the name of the original pro-trans comic creator. You can see the white lines on the masculine character's hair, which happens when you use the fill bucket tool without another layer in a lot of programs.

@@tyler-tz2hz The problem with super straight- and the opposite though I haven't heard of that myself- is because it's ultimately transphobia masking under that same 'defense' of other sexualities when it's just an empty shell. The deciding factor in super straight is whether the person is trans or not- and while that could be chocked up to a preference, it does ultimately trail back to "I don't like trans people" because in some cases, a cis and trans person can be otherwise identical. To rephrase in case it makes more sense, it's kind of like making a sexuality based on being attracted to people who specifically put Mayo on a bologna and cheese sandwich. You can live a whole happy life with them with no knowledge of their thoughts on that- because you have an actual sexuality of attraction etc- you just really don't like people who put mayo on bologna and cheese. And while that specifically is fine, if strange, it's problematic in the case of Super Straight because trans people are actively discriminated against and treated horribly without something like this propogating. And beyond that, there is the aspect of people, the original creator _especially_ outright using it as a defense, yelling for straight pride as if they're being oppressed etc. That side of things is bad just how regular straight pride is, it's just framing themselves as some kind of victim for pity points and expecting to be treated the same when there are clear differences. At the least, that's my understanding of it. Anyone else who knows more feel free to contribute some or correct/advise me on anything.
Ah yes. After I "became a woman" on the first new moon after my first menses, I was presented to the village oracle, who examined my hands and feet and began to train me in my ways becoming of my purpose.

At 4:05 the original comic is a bunch of white sheep saying “We kicked him out!” and Jesus says “I know, I found her” and the sheep is trans colors. It’s very adorable and wholesome
I wouldn't even give them the word. Whenever someone says "I am superstraight" we should just go "You are transphobic?" We shouldn't even say the word, it shouldn't be a word, when someone writes it, just read transphobic out loud instead. Because THAT'S what they want to tell us. That they are transphobic.
the comic at 3:50 is stolen art! The original artist, David Hayward (Nakedpastor), has always created comics and drawings with themes of Jesus and Christians accepting LGBTQ+. Nakedpastor is one of the biggest artists that helped me accept myself as both members of the LGBTQ+ and Religion, it's absolutely disgusting to see someone using his art for this :(
This along with the one at 2:20 is really annoying. Basically no one accepts their 'movement' to begin with but this is something that's actively regressing it. (Which imo is a good thing that it's being regressed but stealing art is so stupid)
the fact that transphobes/homophobes can’t even be creative and have to steal stuff from other people just to make it fit their ideology is just incredibly pathetic
This is very random but it took me 3 minutes to get to the actual video because the ad that piped up right before it completely took all of my attention somehow
Superstraights not being able to make their own comics so they just color over trans affirming comics.. The "protect super kids" was a "protect trans kids" comic and the Jesus one was a trans sheep where the other sheep were like "we kicked him out" and Jesus was like "yeah, and I found her."
I love how they decided to use the reds and pinks for "Male" and the greens and blues for "Female" in the colour chart and at the same time always say "Pink is a girl-colour, my son only wears blue" etc. :D The super straights can't even get their arguments straight
The 'Don't marry women who won't take your name' thing is so funny to me because two of my teachers actually took on their wive's names, completely going against that
What these people don't understand is that there is a difference between "I'm not comfortable dating someone who is trans the same reason why I wouldn't be comfrotable in a straight/gay relationship" vs " I will never date someone who questions they're own gender because you should never alter your own body because that is *impure* and I only date traditional men/woman"
“SuperStraight” people also don’t understand that a preference isn’t a sexuality, or maybe they do and are just using the label as an excuse to be transphobic. It would be racist if you based a sexuality around not being attracted to black people, so it’s transphobic to base a sexuality around not being attracted to trans people. Being black isn’t even a gender, and nor is being trans. You can’t have a sexuality based around not being attracted to something that isn’t a gender.

Exactly!!! Same thing with the sheep and jesus picture. It was the straight “sheep” that kicked a trans “sheep” or person out, and Jesus who said he had found the trans “sheep”. 7:47 For anyone who got confused: I know this list. OP copied and pasted Facebook’s old gender display list. The keyword is “display”. There’s a bunch of terms that mean the same thing because they wanted to give different options to people who preferred displaying in different ways. Which made the list be 56 options long. You know when transphobes say we invented 56 genders, specifically? They’re referring to this.
"Men should be like tissues", so I should be able to blow a hole in them when I sneeze? Doesn't seem very sustainable 🤔 And thoughts on the bird picture: we've had kittens regularly for many years and we've noticed that the loud kittens are almost always male (like legit >90% of the time). Male kittens are such drama queens x]
Lmao, yeah, and female cats tend to be more imposing, probably because of having to deal with males during their heat and when protecting kittens Once a cat hid kittens on top of our ceiling, and you'd frequently hear her chasing other cats out, sometimes I would hear it and go "was.... was that the cat or thunder?"
@Jack super straight is a term used by straight people who don't want to date trans people. the preference in itself is acceptable, but the fact that people made it an entirely new term just to bash on trans people is illogical and immoral.

I love the gender graphic so much, turns out, for "normal people", cis-gender women are male! So are all variations of FTM and MTF. Turns out, only people who start their gender description with "trans" are actually female!
yeah, I wanted to comment on that too (so all cis people are men and all trans people are women?). I think the person who made that image is just to ignorant to even make a transphobic argument because that would requiere them to even know the fundamental basic terms. Also, conflating trans rights with feminism is kind of ironic, given how I constantly see TERFs being transphobic under the guise of feminism.
yeah, also the “feminist” was pointing at the label “cisgender female” implying that she’s a cis lady whereas the “normal guy” was pointing not just at the male label but also pointing to the FTM label…..follow his finger…..very funny to me lol
I was raised by parents who were really into the idea of me and my sister (both AFAB) getting mani pedis pretty constantly. I hated it since I have sensory issues and because i'm not cis and don't care for presenting as feminine. To them, Mani-Pedis were just part of female grooming standards. It showed that a woman took care of herself if she had her nails done or at the very least trimmed. I've had several fights with my father over this because wtf kind of standards are that? To be "put together" I have to go through what is essentially a torturous experience for me and then be uncomfortable for the next few days/weeks until the polish wears off? My mom chilled out fairly early on with it because she recognized that mani pedis were something she did to make herself happy and comfortable, but that it wasn't the case for me (plus she still had my sister who liked feminine things to go with her)
Got more manga recommendations! The first one is called "The Bride Was a Boy" and it's about the author's journey as a transwoman. One heartwarming moment is when she tells the guy who will become her husband (husband-kun) that she's trans, he's like 'I still wanna go out with you.' Their relationship is super super wholesome. Another is "I Think Our Son is Gay" by Okudo. It's also about the author, but this time as a gay man. The mom in the manga doesn't force her son out and the son lets it slip he likes guys.
3:15 - people who think like that guy definitely see women as objects. They only care about how the young ladies look, and not about their personalities, interests, goals, etc - because they basically just want an object that will serve them and make them the focus of her entire life.
Some people go about their lives with such a cosmic level of entitlement that I don’t know how they function in society. All those ‘wives are so naggy and annoying!’ Jokes belittle the fact that a marriage is meant to be a desire to live with someone for the rest of your life and be acknowledged as partners, a beautiful thing. Homophobes will say that gay marriages ‘break the sanctity of marriage’ as if their own blatant disregard for their own, actual marriages doesn’t do that a hundred-fold.
Yesterday my mum & I were on a long car drive home and we started talking about relationships. She said to me "Don't get married." and I was curious as to why. She then went on to explain that, in her generation at least (born in the 1960s), the healthiest people were single women (I am female), followed by married men, married women and lastly single men. It would be interesting to find out if that's still the case today, but if it is and heterosexual relationships are still this inequitable I might need to do what she says and stay single 😳
you can have a long term relationship and not be married. that's how my granpa and both my parents do. and they seem happier than married to each other. they live together as well but they are not tied up with a contract.
Studies have shown that single women tend to be happier than women in relationships but that the exact opposite is true for men - they are happier in a relationship. Everything statistically of course. But I‘m not quite sure about the correlation/causation aspect, because maybe it is more of a thing in older generations (who tend to not divorce because of stigma and beliefs) or maybe unhappy women don’t want to be alone? Many factors. But still, I think the numbers are interesting.
@@stellaw3682 I think it has more to with the fact that women will find ways to meet their needs with the help of other people, and usually be pretty self-sufficient. As opposed to most straight single men I know, not really be able to cook/clean/provide for themselves, and not really be able to have close personal connections, that I find maintain my emotional well-being. The exception being my older brothers, but since they're already more independent and emotionally available simply because they raised me and my younger siblings more than our actual father. But basically the conclusion I came to was: if you raise children to be helpful members of your home, you will end up with adults who are helpful members of the community
Is it bad that the first thing I noticed about the superstraight thing was THE FLAG??? Like they seriously couldn't have chosen ANY DIFFERENT COLOR COMBO
2:05 As a person that actually likes to learn about animals, those looks like four hungry barn (?) swallows chicks and one that's probably not hungry, possibly the adult. 3:32 as a person that's gender apathetic, that guy (the one who wanted the couple to marry him and his friend) is probably asking to get a tap on their head, or maybe a flamethrower thrown at them. 6:37 *s bren s beve*
The one who has their mouth close is about the same size so it's probably a chick too, my first thought is that it could be the weakest cause I believe there's some competition between siblings and often the weakest one gets less food and has less probability of growing into adulthood

I was just about to mention this. The full exchange is played for laughs when she's called out on it: Colonel Mustard: How many husbands have you had? Mrs. White: Mine or other women's? Colonel Mustard: Yours. Mrs. White: Five. Colonel Mustard: Five? Mrs. White: Yes, just the five. Husbands should be like Kleenex: soft, strong and disposable. Colonel Mustard: You lure men to their deaths like a spider with flies. Mrs. White: Flies are where men are most vulnerable. Colonel Mustard: Right!
The feet and fingers thing, I've heard from straight men before. It's about how high maintenance /well she takes care of herself. It's to tell If her mani/pedi is done at a salon, or at home or not at all. Or if it needs to be redone. It totally gave me anxiety about my feet.
Listen, as a trans man, I’ll support super straights. It allows me to stay the hell away from them at all times. Please, I encourage y’all, be loud in your bigotry so we don’t get any surprises/hj
I get that-the “trans panic” defence for murder, for one. Also, this “identity” was literally created on a Nazi Internet forum thing. It’s not an identity, it’s just Nazis with more of a transphobic angle..
well listen as a straight cis man, I’ll support you and all trans people because I understand how difficult it is to deal with gender dysforia and I want to show support for people who have maybe not had support from everyone and you don’t deserve to be treated as if it’s wrong to be the person you feel most comfortable and happy being 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
When I was little I said to my mom “I’m ok with taking my future husbands last name unless his last name is poop.” That’s out the window tho because I grew up to realize I was lesbian
This made me realize I have no idea what, if any, usual customs lesbians have when it comes to surname when getting married, including determining the surname of any potential adopted or biological (in-vitro/one partner is trans etc) kids. *Shocked emote here.*
