Honestly dude, the fact that you have a V6 naturally aspirated truck is great. Those nissan engines last forever. Turbo charged engines will degrade faster than non turbo engines. I hope to get a pro 4x soon, hopefully by summer. Love your truck looks awesome!
@@4wdAdventurz I just got a pro4x 21. Never picture myself driving a Nissan Titan I've always been a Chevy or ram guy. Man I love my truck so far! Just installed a 3inch lift going off roading this weekend. Blessed to be able to have a new truck🙏🏾
Honestly just here to say thank you for being so candid. Having a go at it this time in my life - starting a business and taking care of family. This video inspired me to keep stepping up. You make it look good reaching the other side! Bought a '23 4x4 S as well. Pre owned with 860 miles for $34k even out the door. Drove 11hrs round-trip to get it. Couldn't be happier. Love this channel
Yes you paid too much but your not alone...during that time EVERYONE was getting ripped off so don't feel bad!!!! Prices are finally starting to go down a little bit thank God!!
Hi Aaron, when I lived in Florida back in 2021, I got very lucky with getting my 2022 Pro-4X right around $43k before tax, and it was fully loaded and with all the options, including the technology/leather/premium sound packages. It was right around Dec 27th or 28th and they had just gotten this new 2022 Pro-4X, and they needed to make this sale happen.
Good video my dude. We all started from scratch. I bought my Malibu with a 480 credit score and 15% interest because I absolutely needed a newer car with AC and 4 doors for a baby. I was totally fine with my Isuzu hombre at the time. Now my credit is better than ever and I’m proud to own a new frontier as well. Cheers buddy.
I got a used fully loaded 2022 Pro-X with 17k miles on New Year’s Day of 2024 for $40k with taxes included. Financed $33k after large down payment. I was on the fence on getting the pro-4x, but I live in Louisiana and don’t plan on doing anything crazy besides light trails (mainly hwy miles). Ngl, that price for your base model was insane. Different times.. Btw the pre-delivery charge comes from the manufacturer that ultimately falls on the buyer. It’s usually for new vehicles
I appreciate your struggle and have been there. I think it's great that you chose the Frontier. Sure, you might have been able to save some money on the deal, but it doesn't seem horribly out of line. For the next time, here are two great channels for learning about vehicle purchasing strategies. www.youtube.com/@KevinHunter www.youtube.com/@CarEdge
Great honest video. Buying cars every couple of years is an expensive hobby that I have but I have fun with it. I know what it’s like to throw money out the window. Life’s short. Have fun and play hard. Can’t take it with you anyway. At that time, dealers were marking vehicles up and yours wasn’t any different. I don’t recall if you have a SV or S but MSRP for a SV CC in 2022 with no options was like $35-36k. Give or take. They marked it up like $4-5k but then gave you most of the mark up back in the trade allowance. Then they added that ridiculous $800 fee. In the end, you paid at least MSRP or a grand or two above not counting your down payment. Not uncommon in covid times. At least you didn’t pay $5-10k above MSRP for a Toyota or Honda. Nowadays, you can get a Frontier at invoice or below. The market has switched and no one should be paying anything near MSRP.
You freakin rock. Turning things around when others would cry. I’ve been through that in 2016 and 2022 when my landlord and franchise increased my overhead by 50%. I had no choice but redirect each time. Fortunately I had good credit and landed a sweet deal on a pro4x before anyone knew what they were.
Given your situation it's fair..I was able to find a loaded 2023 Pro4x in Dec of 2022 with 3k miles for 40k +tax&tag with lifetime warranty included. I wanted a Gladiator but could not pass up this deal. Ur Truck looks badass!
My 2023 Pro-X stickered at $43,000. I bought my wife a new car in 2022 and they jacked the price up $2500 over sticker, post pandemic there just weren't many vehicles to choose from. BTW, I didn't even know an "S" model came in 4X4, I thought you had to buy the Pro-4X.
I think at the time, that was okay. The covid time was nuts. I really appreciate this type of video. I am still a while off from buying mine, but an idea of where I wanna be is great to have. I would love a short of you getting in and out of the truck, or maybe a vid of someone riding in the back. Real world type things you do with the truck.
Just bought my Pro4x tech package 2022 with 22k miles and got them to come down to 36,800 out the door. Took me haggling with 4 dealerships for 2 weekends but I play the long game when buying a car. They will buckle long before I do lol but I obviously wasn't in a rush to buy
It seems like the dealership didn't try to add any bogus warranties so from what I saw it looked like a pretty straightforward deal. However, I did pay 42.5k for a 2024 pro4x
I really appreciate you making this video i went through a similar situation but i have 3 kids one if them still uses a car seat, and i drove a 2002 tahoe but i hit a deer at high speeds. I didnt want to fix my truck because i had it for over 12 years and had 265,000 miles on it, ended up buying a 2012 frontier sv crew cab with 140,000 miles credit was not the best. I absolutely love my frontier i got one more year of payments then i will give it to my oldest for his first car hes almost 15
In 2022 there was a shortage of new vehicles due to the Covid. A new 4x4 truck was hard to find in stock. I bought mine in March 2022. I wanted a Tacoma Offroad 4x4 but the wait time for the Tacoma was 3+ months and I couldn't wait that long. I found a 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-4x with 5,000 miles and I got it for $42,000. No regrets! I'm happy with my truck!
I bought my current 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro in March of 2020 just when COVID was hitting and everyone was afraid to buy anything. Bought it used for $35k with 29k miles with 2.9% APR.
Great video. I have the 22 in the exact same color and trim as yours. Couple things I don't have that you have, adaptive cruise, parking sensors. I don't think I'd use those much anyways. I got mine used in Feb of 23 with 14k on it. Paid 31,500 before trade in, so I financed around 27k. I've been quite happy with the pickup overall. It's my daily driver, but recently added a bed rack and rtt, so hoping to get out and explore a lot once the weather warms up here.
@4wdAdventurz I think the deal was fair. I priced the same trim and mileage before I got it, and at the time I didn't find it cheaper anywhere else. Purchased from VW dealership locally.
The destination charge that is how much it is from Mississippi. When you get into a spot better. Next time you go you have them knock it down some who knows they may knock it down a lot
The real star of the driveway is that sweet little Ranger in the driveway. One of the best trucks ever built. We'd love to hear a little bit about it when you have time. I have a 07 Ranger which i love sitting next to my TRD PRO. It does all the heavy lifting.
I think I will do a video on that on the family channel. That thing has been solid. It’s an 05 and has 160,000 on it. For the most part runs like a top.
In Ohio where I live, dealers really cant rip you off. Its illegal to charge more than sticker price on any vehicle like some dealers in other states are doing on the 2024 Tacomas. No game playing with the salesman. You are charged whatever the sticker says. No more and seldom less. What they give you on a trade-in, a great credit score, and a big down payment is the only way you get that monthly payment down to a reasonable amount.
I’ve always heard about people buying car just because they can make the monthly payments. I didn’t know you were one of them. Please explain how can you buy anything without knowing how much it will cost?? Would you buy a 12 pack of beer for $200 ?
Well, as I said, in the video, I didn’t really have another option. All the other vehicles I had were getting a lot of miles on them, and with only a matter of time before they broke down, and the whole family would become stranded. While I had bad credit, my income was great. So, when it came down to how much it cost for the most part that part was irrelevant. I’m the kind of guy that will buy what he wants if he has the money for it. As far as what it actually cost, I couldn’t care less. After all, it’s just money. Money is easy to make.
Ok, I paid way too much then. I have s model bought during covid, Mine is 2 x4 and 2 full door 2 half. Got the safety package. Basically helps you not hit anything. About same price..as yours.. nothing down 535 a month's 880 credit...I think today you can get much better deal. There is 50 frontiers on the lot..back then 5.
I found a 22 S king cab 4x4 red with technology package sprayed bed certified with 8700 miles on it 2 months ago. Paid 27600 out the door but had to fly 1300 miles for the deal.
I looked at them and also Subarus undecided on a Honda Ridgeline I got the sport model which is their base model and it still has a lot of stuff standard v6 all-wheel drive it's nice and roomy and easy to get in and out of in the back seat is even big
Curious how it came to 700 flat for that amount? My math's says 416.00? Are you including insurance and interest in thar amount? How do you like your truck?
Dude this is so motivating! Im debating on financing a $15k out the door nissan Titan crew cab long bed (w/ sunroof) w/ 100k miles, one owner, oil changes every 5k miles @ nissan dealer) and Im scared to make the jump. I can put down $4k and my payments would be around $300/mo. Should I just pull the trigger and do it ????
I want to go camping and off roading (while sleeping in the bed of the truck) so I need a 4x4 long bed, and no it has no warranty and I would have to drive it home almost 18 hours. I am an office worker (who would have to park in a parking garage) and this would be my daily driver. Now that I'm typing this out, it sounds pretty ridiculous because I do NOT need such a large truck, but damn man I just wana go camping!!!! Its like opposite of responsible for me to do this but Im tired of my little 4 cyl sedan.@@4wdAdventurz
I don’t know. I mean, they’re pretty solid mechanically. And, for full-size 4 x 4, that’s a pretty decent price. I would say go for it. Anything with a warranty or lower miles will be substantially more money.
Yea i have no kids, bills, or debt, and I only pay rent on a 1bedroom apartment. My GF is my biggest expense. I might just do it f it lol@@4wdAdventurz
Same truck same color same trim lol mine was very close in numbers in November of 2021 when purchased brand new. Had a trade as well, so maybe out the door after all said and done 34 financed.
Hello going out on a limb here. I have a 2022 Nissan frontier. And on right ride side of the engine. It definitely sounds like it has a slight knock or tick to it. Its only at idle and only on the right side.. I know that DI engines sound little different. But being a mechanic, to me it sounds like a lifter or something. Even tho these engines don't have traditional lifters But nothing else appears to be wrong.. no CEL or pending codes. Any help would be great thanks.
I ended up getting my 24 pro 4x for 78k Canadian. I got it loaded with a bunch of goodies like the utility rack, security package,, illuminated kick plates etc. But I traded my 2011 370z nismo for 23k. My msrp was 53k.
😂. I honestly liked the car. We had the blacked out one with the black rims and the black grill… I didn’t mind it. But there just wasn’t enough room. With a car seat in the back the person upfront had their knees on the dash..
you paid what your situation allowed ,so no is was not to much >when I was 19 I had just graduated from high school and had no real job because my dad made me work for him and then they kicked me out of the house on religious crap so I lived out of my car for 3 months and went hungry many days but kept struggling and proving my word was good and long story short by the time I was 31 yrs old I had a 845,000,00 house paid for and 5 mill in the bank and from that point on I have made more then I will ever spend but going threw that I am still cheap and always look for a deal because there is always that thought that it could be gone in a second . so to any one out there going threw crap just dont give up.
I don’t know what your credit looks like now or what interest rate your paying on the Nissan but just about everyone that buys a brand new vehicle is upside down for three years.Maybe longer. My advice would be find out what the trucks loan value is and pay it down to that number and with better credit go and refinance it at a much lower rate and your payment will go down.I tell everyone, never buy brand new.Find a used vehicle, let someone take that depreciation.
I know for a fact that you could have gotten it for about 32k before your trade in......if you would have waited to buy now..... You way over paid. @@4wdAdventurz
Honestly to represent Trump and MAGA American made and Represent a Nissan is contradicting although some Nissans are made in America but the money goes to Japan. So another head banger but I like Nissan. Just saying
You know it’s okay to be pro America and not buy every single thing made in America right? Admittedly there’s some great countries out there that make great products. 😂
@@LimosaNostra_ yes I understand however when you bring politics into a vehicle group it brings a different topic or perspective not a game changer for me but.
