The funnel is designed to indicate when the tank is full. Fill it slowly, until the fuel doesn't go in anymore. Then, slowly remove the funnel, & the remaining fuel in it will drain into the stove's tank. By then, it is full. You can use gasoline/petrol in it too. If you regularly use the stove, it's cheaper... and from what I've been told by other campers, it gives better fuel consumption. But you'll need more maintenence to prevent the generator tube from clogging up with soot & fuel residue.

Just got one in EBay used, but in good working condition for $55 with case and free shipping, thanks for the video. Looking forward to other videos, I subbed. I use a clean bamboo shish kebab stick to know exactly how much fuel I have, stick it inside the chamber to see how much you have.

All my intention was with this video is to demo it and give a brief explanation on how to start it. I had the perfect opportunity to show what to do and what to look for when the pressure drops which is a good thing. When I do my tear down and repair video the information in that video will be golden. I've worked on these stoves and lanterns since I was about 10 years old. Lots of little tips and tricks to keeping them run like new. I'm so looking forward to making that video. Thanks for your comment!

If you can find a small hiking pot that's large enough to fit it in, that helps to save space in your packs too.

hello, I bought coleman 533 10 days ago, I use unleaded gasoline, I burn the stove by following all instructions, but there is a dark leak under the burner during burning, sometimes it turns into a ball of fire. The leak continues even though I clean the generator, please help

If you bought it new I would return it for another one. If you bought it used make sure everything is good and snug. I have never used gasoline in one although they are capable of it. I am sure leaks are much more likely with gasoline versus white gas due to the viscosity.

The Price of Coleman fuel is way over priced... I quit buying new shit from them yrs ago because of that fact.

Yea I buy the generic stuff however due to the ease of use and reliability I stick with them. My equipment is mostly dual fuel so I can run gasoline in them if I wanted. But I don't mind spending money to stock several gallons of fuel. It is not a permanent solution for an SHTF situation. Just something to get past the hump. I can not justify not spending that money for that ease, reliability, and portability. Nothing in life is perfect and nothing is really free. Might as well pay for something that is worth it.
