In this video, I splice together a bunch of clips to give a snapshot of what a typical travel day looks like for me when I am flying out from Cleveland. The video includes:
1. Lightly packing the night before, and how I organize my bag when packing.
2. Buying an RTA bus ticket to take the 22 bus and then the Red Line train to the airport.
3. Entering Cleveland Hopkins International Airport via train, and taking the escalator up to the check in area.
4. Some tips on steps to take to make your TSA experience a bit easier to go through.
5. Filling up my water bottle, and finding an empty area to sit in until my plane is ready to board.
6. Having a few essential items to put in my seatback compartment while flying.
7. Preparing for a brief layover in Denver, boarding again, and then getting off at my final destination in Salt Lake City.
Filmed mostly on August 4, 2022.

Hi the is Yilu from Shanghai ,China. I really appreciate your introduction of Cleveland because my son just started his freshman at Case. I have a better understanding of the city by watching your videos.

Great video. It’s amazing how light you pack. Brookpark was my RTA station from the early 1970s when I lived in Berea. The buses, trains and stations look great. Thanks for the tour!

I am fortunate to have a set of clothes in Utah where my partner is. But if I was going on a 4-5 day summer trip somewhere else, I think I could squeeze enough thin shirts in to the one backpack still. Winter may be a different story due to the bulkier clothing.

I moved from Parma to Hinckley in 4 th grade. There were many Cleveland transplants to Hinckley then. When I was twelve or so, our parents would let me and few friends take the transit from Brookpark to Cleveland. 1968 or so. We had a blast! Think parents now would get in trouble for that. 1968 wasn’t exactly safe either. Those kind of memories are what make me happy I am a boomer. 😊😅

Hmmm, it depends. At the end of the school day, I think I will fairly regularly see groups of kids take the bus or train home. Although maybe they are high school age already (i.e. 14 to 15).

Interesting to hear! But I do hope to visit Pittsburgh at some point for a comparison.
