Slim Charles killing Cheese was my favorite. Fuck I hated that character. Wallace's death was the saddest.

Wallace getting shot is still one of the most heartbreaking scenes in that whole series.

I never in my life watch a show like the Wire. I had so much father feeling for Dukie. It broke my heart seeing him end like that.

Mike killing snoop was the best death scene in this show followed by Brother Mouzone and Omar killing Stringer, the most shocking one was Kenard killing Omar, and the saddest one was Poot/Bodie killing Wallace

Everyone's death pulled at my heart strings , funny how the writers made it so we sympathized and cared for every single character good or bad .

This show is so genius. They drop you in a world with these characters, show you who they are and what they’re about. Then without even telling you they’re doing it they show you exactly how they became who they are. They show that people don’t become who they are overnight and that it’s an accumulation of past trauma and the things they’ve had to do makes them what they are.

Cheese actually survived, changed his life and went on to become Tasha St. Patrick’s lawyer.

Bodie really ain't wanna kill Wallace

Frank Sobotka's death was just as powerful even off screen.

The boy who killed Omar in the cornerstore the same boy who was playing in the street after the shootout at Barksdale’s trap in S3... yelling out “I wanna be Omar” or sumlike that.

HBO'S The Wire and The Sopranos were two of the greatest series ever on tv. Didn't hold back any punches the originals in Reality Tv.

seeing prop joe death lowkey makes me sad.....you could tell he was torn about the betrayal of the nephew he raised. His own family and blood..in a weird way even when slim charles was trying to warn him prop joe was blinded by the biased love for his blood and his values of loyalty... a shame reallyt

strangely i felt worse for bodie than wallace in the scene where he killed him. J. D. Williams is a truly great actor

Tears when D'angelo got it , I kept hoping it was going to be a huge plot twist and he was alive the whole time calling the shots.

Snoop was so good, she was a stone cold killer, yet even in a scene where she meets her end trying to kill a kid who trusted them and telling that same kid he was never one of them she still manages to bring a tear to me with “how my hair look man”

I like the scene with Chris, Snoop, and Butchie, the way Chris stood and watched the man scream in pain and yet still keep silent is cold and calculated, but he still has respect for him, almost being merciful to him for his strength and ending his suffering quickly. Only watched this series twice now, and I can only imagine it gets better the next time around.

Slim already knew Cheese was in on killing Prop Joe but when Cheese said he would put up the remaining money, that’s when Slim got pissed off. He knew Cheese didn’t have that kind of money to put up, and that it was actually Prop Joe’s money.

the poignancy of this is just another reason why i think this is the greatest show off all time.

Wallace killing was déep and sad

Snoop's death still gets to me. She was one of the hardest characters in the show... and her final line was asking how her hair looked. She knew (like all of the soldiers there) growing up in the game that she could die early. Maybe she even envisioned it happening growing up (and so when this happened, it wasn't the worst way to go out and she accepted it quickly). But Snoop was still a human, a woman, no matter how much of a cold killer they made her out to be. Snoop finally showed a sensitive side to her, wanting to look good before dying; and it also made it seem like Michael did know more about her that wasn't shown on screen in that she was a human with emotions, and he told her she looked good without hesitation before killing her. Like man, to ask something as vulnerable as how she looked before dying just pulls on the heart string and is one of the reasons why this show was so damn good. Even the hardest gangster in the show was just doing it to get by... she wasn't a comic book villain, but rather just a human trying to survive in her world.

The one thing that makes me have a next level hatred for Marlo's crew is because they remained so cool and never stopped having heart of stones even in the face of their own death. Never showing a shred of fear or remorse. Some would call that admirable but personally that shit is what freaks me out the most. I'm much more comfortable with the guys in the Barksdale crew (apart from Bird) who had a shred of remorse.

In my top 5 ALL TIME series ....great actors great storyline ....just excellent....

I've watched sopranos .. I've watched oz .. and I wanna get into this... that's the fuggin trifecta of ass kicking tv shows that ran through the 2000's .. all brilliant shows .. great stuff .. dramatic ..dynamic and cinematic ..

It also shows how much of a disconnect there is between life in the streets and life in the establishment. Even the cops had not a clue until they got out of their patrol cars and started going under cover and getting sources. They were suprised at how bright they were. They might not have had degrees and creditials, but they knew how to survive for a little while in their environment.

I know it will never happen, but there should be a one hour single episode made that shows what happens to everyone. I've been watching it since last year and it's the greatest show to ever be made in the history of television. I saw the last episode tonight on the Audience Network on Direct TV which had shown all 5 seasons one episode a week. Omar's death actually got spoiled for me cause Eminem mentioned it in a song.

I can't help but think that Fat Face Rick was brought in for questioning when the police found the cigar that he threw down at Cheese.

Stringer tried to have them take out each other so he wouldn't be found out but he was settin his own death up fr fr talkin bout he aint in the game when he did all that to Omar young boi trying to save himself

Butchie went out like a man not beggin not giving up any info but mike was a goon they schooled him to well he absorbed it and used it against snoop and Chris 💪🏿
