I’m happy to say I own a dbk apocalypse and so far it’s a beast , came sharp enough to shave my face 🪒 the attention to detail and the fit and finish is absolutely amazing , can not wait to see what knife you guys make in collaboration 🙏

Just got out of Neck Surgery today. First video I am watching is this one. Trying hard not to laugh.. Yes, I look like Frankenstein but I am also grateful to be well. Every time I laugh.. I bought Benchmade 202 Leuku based on your first video about it. I am very satisfied! Could you please make video on how to turn v-edge to scandivex or convex? Pleaaaase 😂 I know you have a lot of sharpening videos, but you don't have one that explains how to covert v-edge to scandixes or convex. I have Lansky sharpening system I can do only v-edge with it, but if you do the video I will buy set of stones and I will try it. Keep up the good work I love your videos!

I've got one of the first ten DBK Apocalypse (august 2019) and it chops like a beast. Should be at number 1 of this list easy, it is at another level then benchmade leuku.

If you pay attention. The reason they stated why the 202 is higer in the rank is because the price/quality relation. The 202 is half the price of the apocalypse. The appocalyse must be for sure a better knife. Its even martin new favourite knife.

@@soundped Isn't the handle a bit too long for normal size hands? Also, how thick they are behind the edge? I never seen a Bradford in a video, that it was cutting or slicing better,than Bark River, LT Wright etc are they that level of performance?

@@greekveteran2715 Very thin behind the edge, at least in the Full Flat version I have. I have XL hands, and the handle is a bit longer than my hands. I wish the handle was a little thicker honestly. Not sure how it compares to those other high enders, but it is extremely sharp. Though it's taking me a bit to get feather sticking just right on the wood I find in Northern California.

I got the convex DBK Apocalypse and I can say: it bites like crazy and it is still hair-shaving sharp. Chopped through a tree, batoned firewood all winter and all I ever had to do was some stropping once in a while to get it to shave again! Best outdoors knife I own!

It's all you're fault! I used to be a regular guy. I didn't care about knives! Knives were knives! Then I found this channel almost 3 years ago. Then I had to buy a Mora. Then another Mora. And Another! Then all I wanted was a Fallkniven and I scored an F1 for $80 US. Then I got another Mora. I got the... the... GARBERG!!! There are now 17 knives in the arm of my recliner and it's all your fault!! And i can't thank you enough. I love these knives and I'm looking forward to expanding my collection. I only consider knives I've seen you guys review. Keep making great videos!

I know Bark River has A LOT of good knives, but I think you should try their Puukko model. In my opinion it's an exeptional bushcraft knife. THe only taks it doesn't excell at (and I don't mean it's bad at it, just not perfect) is batonning.

Guys i always wondered why didn't you test the Trc south pole, it is such a versatile allround knife, that i think if anyone wants only 1 quality knife they should get it, from blade to sheath finish it is a bliss. Check it out guys.

To get a convex edge you need to grind the bevels on a belt grinder with no platten. The belt must not have a flat plate behind it in other words. This creates an axe type of grind.

Pretty sure you can hand sharpen a convex edge into any knife. It's like s hharpening a scandi but a bit looser and sloppier so that that grind becomes a rounded curve to an edge, rather than a sharp V

However, I was convinced by the Bark River Knifes, which you also extensively advertise. When I think of the Fallkniven knives, I always think of the outdoor clothing brand Fjellräven, which is also overpriced. You know ..i bought a Autine Leuku , `cause of your CRAZY Vids ...it´s REALLY DAMM FUCKING AWESOME and the Price goes ok .. because it is a handmade one-off and the BLADE FINISH ... WOW !!! (A Piece of Archaic Art !!)

Thanks a lot haha. Buck is just a good name. The knives are not but that's just.my opinion. Rock solid build quality but eye watering steel performance. Chris reeves is more famous in the folding knife scene. For fixed blades not so much of he even makes any.

If you guys haven’t already looked at the Bark River Michigan Hunter I would definitely recommend it. I have both it and the Manitou and I was really surprised at how good the Michigan Hunter was. I liked the extra handle length and the overall balance of the knife better than the manitou. It also has a slightly thicker edge geometry. Both are extremely slicey knives however.

I know you've reviewed the Bark River Fox River before. Have you checked out the Fox River Ext 2 from DLT trading? It's got the same handle as the Bravo series but the blade is a bit thinner and has more of a drop than the Bravo.

I was lucky enough to get a DBK TRC Apocalypse It’s big. Handles really well like a much smaller knife. Spans big logs for batoning. Feathers and curls are just perfect with it. Throws good sparks with ferro rod. Will not rust. A real One knife solution. It’s just really big. It’s a survival knife First, bush craft distant second. It’s one of my most prized knives and I’m done beating on it. TRC is next level. I’ve seen Enough to know I must get the DBK knife as soon as it’s available. I own a bunch of high end knives. Nothing compares to quality levels that TRC is putting out. Not in my collection anyway. DBK boys know knives and they teamed with a great company.

Been subscribed for ages. Just sent my GF a link to this video. I've just got her into knives and I've recently got her a Benchmade custom Griptilian. It looks and feels amazing! I've multiple Busse blades. Have you guys ever tested a Busse with INFI steel? I'd love to see that test.

I personally own the Benchmade 200. Can totally recommend it. But if youre looking for something bigger, i'd look at the leuku. I also think the puuko handle is a little small for my hands, but thats just me and my big hands haha

No... you cannot build a fire outside, you can in the living room. Just lay down some bricks with a shallow sidewall; Then bring in some dirt and fill in the top of the bricks so you have a firepit. OPEN all the windows and put a strong intake fan at one end of the room, and an exhaust fan at the other to create a good cross-wind to take away the smoke. DO this when your parents are not in the house. Remember to test a firesteel you don't have to actually make a fire, just start it. :)
