"His Needs, Her Needs" "The Five Love Languages" Make sure your women do the quiz! It will save you so much money, time, and frustration. If she likes words of affirmation and you give her a bunch of gifts, it would drive you nuts to spend a lot on gifts for her to not respond to them only to lose her mind over the card that you threw in at the end. no... that's actually what happens with men. as the study suggested, the birth of children is the primary reason for lower drive in married females. males get bored by s@x with the same partner way faster. this is true for many species in the animal kingdom and it's called coolidge effect, look it up. males are programmed to maximize s@xual variety. husbands' drive for their wives doesn't drop as fast as expected in a marriage basically because they're trapped with her and can't go around looking for alternatives.

Which is why a man should increase his value to a point where he can get sex from other women. Even when married ,he should still be capable of getting it from other women without exercising those options. If a woman knows that others would give it to him if she doesn't, she will want to insure that she is providing it. It should be clear that her getting sexual monogamy logically requires her to be solely responsible for providing for his sexual urges. It's interesting when she starts verbalize consideration to bring in another woman to share that burden. Some actually have done that temporarily though I would recommend against it as typically does not end well. Edit: As the saying goes, "Don't let him leave the house unless his belly is full and his b@11s are empty".

26 years ago, after my divorce, I made a pact with myself to date a woman for at least 3 years before considering marriage. Every single woman I dated for 3 months or more (in the beginning) said she was fine with my desire for sex 2 to 3 times a week when I told them that was my preference. However, the handful of women where the relationship lasted beyond 1 year, without fail, like my ex-wife, they started turning me down for sex more and more over time, until it was down to once a week. The excuses were the same..."too tired," "too stressed," "just not in the mood." Unsurprisingly, I'm still a Bachelor, and a happy one at that.

Thing is, what do you want from someone besides sex? It's got to be a mental match, and if that's not stimulating, the deep attraction is not there. Ever found a woman really desirable until you start talking to her and realize this person is dumb as hell? Well, it's an extreme example, but over time, your actions (as well as hers) become part of a daily bland experience and unless someone does something stimulating, planning outings, doing trips, being quirky and playful, collaborating on projects, etc then the stagnancy will kick in - arguing, coldness, sexlessness, and inevitable separation will occur.

At a certain point in my 27 years of marriage, after 15 years sex stopped like entirely. Yet I still provided and did ALL those things a husband should do. I wrote a note to my wife, “I miss the intimacy between us”. I always felt so much closer to my wife after intimate moments , I wasn’t a pig. It was an emotional connection to me. After leaving a most sincere note, I never got an answer back.

My wife and I went into marriage with a list of expectations for each other and the idea that marriage is conditional. Some of mine included her staying in good shape and reciprocating sexual advances. Hers include at least a minimum number of dates per month and the expectation that I bring in the bulk of our income and manage the money effectively as well as being "aware of family needs". Five years in and I feel weve been doing better than average. Were a very strong couple.

Just make sure this doesn’t stop when things go under. If you lose your job or get incapacitated and can’t bring the bulk of the income anymore and she is willing to bail you are on the losing side of the trade. Ah this makes so much sense. I've been agonizing over my ex, debating whether I should go back despite not having being very invested. And my mind keeps shooting back to the loads of sex we were having as a reason why. I didn't understand how she could be so horny all the time. First thing in the morning, during leisure time, every single night. I wasn't initiating it, I honestly didn't want it as I was already feeling guilty because I was mentally checked out of the relationship. And honestly, being a single father, there is not a lot of stress raising kids. There is stress if you do not put in the time to raise/discipline your kids from an early age. Most of the stress I see women have is because they don't discipline the kids correctly. They let the kids get away with a lot.

The lower class is hypersexual and obsessed with it, but, the middle class kids who go to college, they are becoming more individualistic and career focused. The sexes don't engage with each other that much and rarely express romantic interests due to the culture of work now. However, seeing it as an issue of class, a lot of women of higher class will have sex with men of lower class because they're much more experienced and aren't as boring as they say. Of course these women will marry up but purely for economic reasons as that is its purpose. It's just that the men who have worked their entire lives are serious and less sexual so women a lot of times lose interest very fast and initiate divorces due to the lack of attraction they feel to the men they married for economic prowess.

There are also some Asian regions that transparently worship Europe, like S. Korea. I am a non-mainland south-east Asian, with thick religion teaching, and with patriarchy is still intact here. I think this is missing a key component- what hormonal birth control does to women. Studies show that hormonal birth control decreases sex drive and makes women prefer effeminate / less masculine men. I've experienced this myself- I was super attracted to my masculine husband when we were dating and I wasn't on birth control. Then I started birth control and found him way less attractive (particularly his masculine traits, like taking charge, seemed way more oppressive and unreasonable and annoying). We fought all the time and had a lot less sex. Then I got off birth control (because I read it might help with weight loss to quit it) and fell head over heels for him again. He says that I drastically changed, in a good way, and he's the happiest he's ever been in our marriage. I feel like I was taking a mind-altering substance all that time. Guys, I know condoms suck, but get your woman off hormonal birth control if she's taking it.

Honestly a massive biological flaw in humanity because it's basically asking for children to be raised by single moms when they want to have sex and have chad and tyrone who never commit, while when they settle for a nice guy who will genuinely be useful in raising children, they aren't nearly as attracted to him. Also, this is probably why men held the power in divorce/separation courts back then, because when the woman has uncertainty and knows she has a lot to lose and that the guy is more willing to leave her (as opposed to the guy not wanting to lose over half of his stuff in a divorce), then she has an increased sexual desire for him and their relationship is overall better.

It was safer to sacrifice your satisfaction (if you even knew what that was, Patriarchal society was very good at deceiving women about their place in the world) in exchange for safety and resources. In both the modern era and a hunter/gatherer or horticultural tribal society, I would much rather have multiple men than share one man.

Thank you for this. What it’s doing is helping men to understand women psychology and help with some of the resentment we feel in these situations. For us sex is as important as eating and breathing so to not feel desire from your spouse can be enraging and confusing.

I have had three wives. The first wanted sex all the time and we had no kid till year 8 and then she stopped wanting sex and it broke up the marriage. The second never wanted sex and it broke up the marriage. The third wanted it once a week the first five years, now she wants it daily. She does not know why.

From my own experience I realised a long time ago that it's women who want eed to do the chasing. In fact I would go so far as to say that women are actively turned off by men who chase them as they appear needy. I had my greatest success with women when I was in my 20's and 30's and was effectively a "Jack the Lad" .... and had women chasing me left, right and centre ... even ones that I didn't treat terribly well. On the flip side when I settled down (and got married) .... it all went bad .... in agreement with your point 3 "Success in bonding". Once married women no longer have to chase the man ... and the man will often appear to be needy. It gets even worse when kids come along but that a whole different story (in my view kids must always come first). I always like the old adage ... "A woman marries a man thinking that he'll change, but he doesn't... a man marries a woman thinking she won't change, but she does." Yes, this is all generalisation and there are obviously many exceptions to the the rule ... (being rich for example alters the equation) but I still think it's good advice. So the moral of the story ... men ... just enjoy yourself and be care free and let the women come to you ... and avoid kids (unless you want them).

Most women have to work, do 90% of the childbearing, taking care of the husband, cooking, cleaning etc. Less than 3% are housewifes. If men would help us care for their children more we'd be willing to have sex more.I still have yet to meet a woman that only has to do childbearing.

@@alcastle8480 I understand, there's nothing wrong with that. It's just that our desire decreases too, not as much as men,but when we're often overwhelmed we don't want sex either. I am not saying it should be 50%-50%, but perhaps help us with 10%. Or give us one day a week for ourselves. Maybe even couple hours. That helps a lot.

Funny how a man has to improve constantly in life if he wants his wife to stay, but she can eliminate the only thing that her husband wants from her. I am not saying it, it's women who say it: "I am the table", they often say. Yeah, but after 4 years that table is gone because gynocentric reasons, and he can't say a word about it because love and all that sht. Yeah yeah, love love love, but he better bring money, you know, "love". He better not be fired, or not lose some promotion, or buy that car that the neighbours have, otherwise his wife will go away to "explore herself", because he didn't pay her attention, or whatever BS she can think of to blame on him.

This is so true. My dead bedroom got revived after I got back in shape and tripled my networth during the pandemic. After I took a small portion out and splurged on lifestyle improvements, I am now getting frequent and enthusiastic sex including vigorous head. Sometimes it just feels so dumb though. Early in the marriage when I was being frugal and fiscally responsible (which is what got us the nest egg we’re sitting on in the first place), what I got was a stressed out wife that frequently complained and didn’t often want sex. It’s like even if they rationally understood and agreed with my plans, their primitive instinct is to only bone winners.

Great video, I just wanted to add something that I thought was missing in the analysis, women want to diversify their genes as well. Some commenters alluded to this and Ive read studies confirming this (as much as these things could be trusted), I dont remember what studies they were but they basically showed that with or without children a females interest in having sex with their partner steadily declines to basically zero after 5-7 years. I remember one of the theorized reasons was that once their offspring reach age 7 they are mobile and dont require constant attention reducing the females need for resources and protection of her mating partner leaving her more free to seek other mating partners in order to diversify the genes of her offspring.

My friend had this issue after his girlfriend moved in until he and his girlfriend agreed to an open relationship. When he was successful in sleeping with other women sex between him and his girlfriend increased but it was when it was clear that there was another woman he was seeing repeatedly that she asked that the open before relationship be ended. He and the other woman don't sleep together anymore but he still regularly talks to her because she's in our social circle, and he hasn't had the same problem with his girlfriend since.

The reason in why men’s sexual desire generally increases the longer they are in a marriage may or may not be due to a direct result of a women’s decrease in sexual desire the longer they are in a marriage. The two don’t necessarily have to be independent of each other.

Maybe I'm the odd one out here, but 10 years in, and the only thing that ruins our sex lives is the energy we have for it at the end of the day given all the responsibilities of having a family. I think most married couples forget that one of the most important things we can do with our partners is be each other's confidants and friends, really, just staying engaged in what the other person is doing. Intimacy drops when you're living in the same space, but not in the same moments.

One aspect the studies did not seem to look at directly is hormonal changes. While it is obvious during pregnancy and after child birth, it is not so obvious when the woman comes off hormonal birth control. When you have a woman who has been on hormonal birth control (basically, a small steroid cycle) for many years, comes off to try to have kids (throwing her hormones into chaos), it takes a while to get back to a "normal" state. Combine that with added stress of raising kids and a terrible diet, and it is not surprising that their desire decreases.
