Playing some of the most classic, happy and enjoyable games, barely any smiling, no real laughs and commentary that consists of "Ahhh, wowooooo, look at that" classic Phil
@@Collymillad No it's OK that you never got around to playing the games in your childhood. At least you didn't play them like a man who believes that Utah doesn't have deserts.
"the shots are tracking my movements" no wonder phil is horrible in fps games, he doesn't even grasp the basic concept of shooting where someone is moving towards so it hits
These games are bloody gorgeous to look at. I’m so glad that they gave the children of today, like Phil, a chance to experience them nearly 20 years later.
8:52 No Phil, they didn't want to go to Sunny Beach, they wanted to go to Dragon Shores. The Dragon Realms and Avalar are two entirely different worlds.
Correction: PS1 Kids in mind. Yes, there is a difference compared to kids games nowadays. Which means DSP was only doubly fucked when trying to play this
Most young children, even those of average intelligence understand the concept of experimentation so they can learn. Phil being unable to do this means he's not only below average intelligence, he's literally dumber than a small child.
To be fair he is far above average at SF2, decent at most other fighters and has gotten good enough at souls games over the years, mostly due to trial and error. He sucks ass at damn near everything else tho
@@fuzzy8889 You are absolutely correct, it has become more and more obvious over the last few years, how this has become tedious to him. He rushes through everything and won't bother with the easiest puzzles to solve them on his own. Chat does everything for him. One very special moment of 2020 for me was when he wouldn't understand (RE3 Remake) how to counter the boss when he runs along walls. Literally one minute before the boss, he is handed STICKY GRENADES. And yet, he was completely inept to put these two elements together, so he crossed his arms and refused to play until chat told the solution. Just imagine the situation. Such a miserable shit-show, this guy.
I like to call myself a "Professional Moron" when it comes to playing games blind (Because I do a lot of dumb shit), but *WOW* DSP makes me look like a World-Class Speedrunner!
LMAO he literally fckin up jump on skateboard into the wall and says "HOW WAS IT MY FAUL HE JUMP ON PHANTOM RAMP THAT DIDN'T EXIST", classic phill, classic...
Gulp is probably the most fun and well-designed boss battle of the entire trilogy and yet dsp accuses the devs of not playing a boss fight in a game before. You can't make this stuff up, it's too much.
Holy shit I completely forgot Dark Side Phil was in Spyro 2 and 3 he's Moneybags ;-) thank God you were able to torture him at the end of Spyro 3 to get all your gems back!;)
Leave it to Dark Side Phil to be completely incompetent at a literal child's game and entertaining child's game but a literal childs game first 50 seconds in and he asks if there was a run mechanic in the original Spyro game I facepalm so hard I gave myself a concussion!;)
@@No_Sleepee Exactly. He is the reason why absolute generic and bland copy-paste-games like most shooters still have tutorials. "Press right trigger to fire the weapon!" Oh really? I thought I needed the digipad for that!
Man do I love me some DSP. He's the master of making hysterically awful Let's Plays that you can laugh at and have a good time through the whole thing. The key word here is laugh AT. And he's such a terrible human being you don't even feel the least bit bad about making fun of his dumb ass!
3:04:06 LMAO I just played Spyro 3 myself, and this exact same thing happened to me during the skateboard game too, getting frustrated and rage-quitting when I went into an acid pool and I died in between hitting "quit" and the game taking me out of the minigame. I'm in tears laughing at this, also Outsyder that was a legendary performance you did, I did not know you got that much boost from the barrel rolls I just tried doing forward and backflips getting barely any boost and messing up the landings lol. The race wasn't very hard, what I found tough was the skill point time attack, but you beat that time easily as well, kudos!
30:40 - This dude freezes when he realizes he's about to say houses in the plural, and then unfreezes when he realizes people know about his current house and the condo and he can play it off as not a slip of the tongue. Something tells me this dude has a third house he's keeping secret.
Broke: What idiots, I can’t believe they made a boss in a children’s game this hard! Woke: The satisfaction you got as a child when you beat Gulp in the originals because he was a challenge.
Oh tell me about it, I remember beating Gulp when I was 8. My heart was pounding out of my chest and it's a feeling that I would never experience until much later playing Dark Souls.
@Johnny Zen Maybe that's because, at some point in life, one should realize that a short moment of gratification isn't worth wasting hours on some garbage video game, especially when you can get the same feeling by doing something actually beneficial to you. Like sports for example. Seriously, gamers, who take way too much pride in overcoming shitty challenges in a game, are more annoying than Phil could ever be. But please, enlighten me on how much wasting hours of your life on some video game made you a better human being, when, in the meantime, people are seeking real, physical challenge in the gym (for example).
@@Deadflower20xx are you people watching the same thing as me? The best ones were the original ones where it just shows him being shit at the game and the comments from the original videos talking shit about his playthrough. All these new ones are way too overedited and always include him talking at the beginning no one gives a fuck about that
Ah, these games are nostalgic... fond memories of beating each one. Always a couple of frustrating moments but determination wins... seeing Phil trying his best to ruin them with his constant lies, ouch, right in the childhood. Still, had to chuckle in the spider challenge as he tries to explain why some sections are harder than others, citing imprecise controls. Same controls that are in play everywhere mind you.
Great work friend, sorry if you get this question a lot but what happened to the AC odyssey tihydp? I remember it being hyped on memeology's channel a while back. But other than that great job always love the content!
So I just beat Spyro 2 and 3 for the first time as well.I can say with certainty that I did one million times better than he did. A few missions aside (fuck you Alchemist), I didn't find these games that difficult at all. Leave to Phil to make these games look like Crash Bandicoot 1 levels of difficult.
0:45 I was screaming, "SHE'S A FAUN, YOU DORK!" the things this man does to me. I will admit, I was mildly impressed that he knew to FLAME the large enemies without being told... but it was probably luck :/ You had to edit this monstrosity, so you tell me: Was he moaning along to the Colossus soundtrack the entire time he was there??!
Wow! Phil was losing the plot during that skateboarding race. I rarely really see him get that angry. Usually he moans and complains, but this shit seemed to have hit a vulnerable nerve. Never would have I thought of Spyro being one of the games that really sets off Phil. I have seen him be more tame when he gets incredibly salty playing fighting games.
Phil is either blatantly blind in certain spots or doesn't pay attention, like when Hunter told him clearly to perform tricks to get turbo and the button to do it and he acts like the game didn't. Phil is his biggest detractor. Always has been, always will be.
I just beat all 3 games in the Reignited Trilogy in their entireties. I basically know Spyro 2 by heart by this point, and seeing Phil not understanding and able to learn or do shit in either of these games kills me a little.
It always hurts to watch Phil struggle at a game you love or are good at, and then listen to him shit talk the game cause he sucks at it... I dont think ill ever understand how people can unironically watch this man's playthroughs
not only that we didn't have internet to hand hold our hands 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i have also beaten dino crisis 1 with all the hard puzzles as a kid back then which he didnt with internet easily available
It's interesting to see a grown man fail on the games that you beat as a young lad. For me, it's the Crash series of games. Phil makes them look way harder than they really are.
@@theironpill9296 i heard that crash n sane trilogy was harder than the original but to me it wasnt at all so i have doubts that phil every played any ps1 games back then
The skateboard race in the acid area. Ill admit when I played it through on ps1 I missed that you could do tricks for turbo. You can m actually still win though since the crabs give turbo too
@@The0utsyder Oh! I didn't expect the channel op to post! Hehe, I skip some games I haven't played yet so they're not spoiled. I saw you made some, but can't watch them for now. But will later! :3
These games take me back to when I was... what, 8 or 9? I sucked at the flying levels, but honestly I was a kid and the whole dual sticks was still pretty new to me (don't get me started on shoulder buttons). Still, I can look back and realize at least I didn't suck this bad. Even 100%+ the Reignited Trilogy and if anything it felt easier.
