This guy had a plan for every amount the waiter would have asked for. And the top was always going to be $100. If the waiter had been like, "Give me that million", Brad would have talked about how everyone just wants more than they are owed blah blah blah.

As someone who worked as a poker dealer and in food service for the last decade of my life: we are not allowed to solicit tips. We cannot say, “I want this much money!” We HAVE to say, “Whatever you deem appropriate,” or we could get fucking fired. I saw it happen at a casino, because a supervisor was walking by when the dealer answered honestly. What a bunch of dumb bullshit that just shows how completely out of touch with reality these people are.

Ive been asked a similar question before and said what i honestly wanted, then proceeded to get berated about how im not worth that and thid and that and yada yada like dude why did you even ask? This is true. I was also a notary. The only thing notaries are notarizing is that you are signing your name in front of us and that we have verified your identity to the best of our ability, i.e. looking at your state or federal I.D. You can hand me a legal document claiming you are the sole owner of Amazon and the only thing I’m notarizing is that you signed that document in front of me. My notary stamp does not make anything said in that legal document valid or binding. The only thing my stamp does is verify that you signed it. I could notarize your signature on a cardboard box.

I’m not rich but I do actually have a $700 pen. A few years ago my dad died - it was unexpected and sad, but when I received some money he’d left, I didn’t want to just spend it on bills or food or something transient. Instead I bought a super nice pen from a renowned European maker. I had my dad’s initials engraved and am trying to find a way to incorporate his ashes into it. I’m a writer, and now I have something that will last a lifetime, I’ll use every day, and have something to remember him by. “Okay I want the entirety of your current bank account and any gains you earn on investments over the course of the next 5 years. I want each payment spread out over that 5 years in sums of less than $10k at a time so as not to incur a gift tax. After that five years I expect to them cash out your portfolio and purchase me a house. Oh, you can’t do that? What happened to ‘whatever I want?’”

I mean I get that lady trying to skirt the IRS. We all do the same thing on smaller levels with emails and texts. If we don’t hear back, we assume it’s fine. 😂

Bro basically asked him what he was wanted for a tip and the guy told him and he just goes “omg I don’t have a million dollars cus I’m a fake rich person” and gave him 100 bucks instead

700 dollars for a boring pen is crazy + such an embarrassing present to give someone. I have a purple sparkly pen with a butterfly on top that I stole from target. Got it for free and it’s a million times cooler.
