Supposedly they harassed the guy for years, his wife was terminal with cancer and recently died before all of this. Man had literally nothing left to lose and they just kept pushing him…. Be kind to your neighbors, folks.
Tim didn't even touch on the craziest part: the guy started shooting and they both continued to stand there talk shit. It wasn't until the husband was hit that they reacted at all. Probably 4 or 5 shots rang out and they were so entrenched in their harassment that the sound of gunfire doesn't deter them
He either fired warning shots to make them run, or was trying to shoot them while walking/sliding down an icy driveway. If you watch, every shot that missed, his feet were either moving or slipping as he got his stance. As soon as he got into a rigid stance, he started hitting his targets. Also, you would be surprised how large of a chunk of gun owners can't hit shit at 10 yards. Its horrifying going to public gun ranges When I took a class to get a Concealed Pistol License, I was the only person who aced the shooting test (shoot a 8.5x11 piece of paper from 5 yards i think). One person shot the mechanism that holds the targets and uses a pulley system to adjust how far your target is, and we had to break for 30 minutes so they could fix it. She still got her certificate. These are the people carrying in public
@@jesusporras9370 correct me if I'm wrong but when the woman puts the shovel down she reaches in her pocket pulls out a gun and starts blasting. That's what It looks like to me.
I just would have thought a comedian who is always defending freedom of speech and the right to say offensive stuff and goes around the country saying offensive shit for a living would have been more on the side of the couple talking shit lol Tims a savage
@@Docklead yup. They always are. I think it's possible this guy has killed people before. Hope they investigate the guy. He's probably a serial killer.
I’ve been trying to get my friends into Timmy D and apparently this was the first podcast my friend and his wife listened to of his and now they think I’m a psychopath. Whoops
I'm pretty certain this wasn't the first time this lady should have kept her mouth shut BUT I am 100% certain it was the last time she should have kept her mouth shut.
@@parkermacek11 Or he's just a guy that got sick of their bs and snapped. F those two that died....I feel zero remorse. I've lived next to people like this. They just poke and poke and then act like a victim. How's the victim thing working for them now?
Probably the most hardcore thing to say in the moment too. Drives home it was his actions that triggered... it, and he just watched his wife’s head get canoed. Savage
@@YoungSandyGray did you watch the video lol he was on their property and they both had been going at each other for months. Get over your loser complex before you murder your neighbors and yourself like that dork did. Or maybe learn to defend yourself mentally or physically rather than go get a shortcut because you’re too inadequate as a person
I’m from a very bad place (Juarez, Mexico). When I was growing up, it was essentially a war zone. In fact, in 2006 (I think) we had more fatalities in the city than all of Iraq, all related to organized crime. I’m now living in California’s Bay Area. I did a part time at a gas station, and I was in utter disbelief about how nonchalant people are about being rude to a complete stranger. It’s like the idea of diplomacy and politeness is completely foreign to them, like people don’t have entire lives that have nothing to do with them and their needs. I’m very aware that there are people out there, HUMANS with a full conscience, and they will destroy parts of my life if I say the wrong thing to them. This is a reality. Please don’t ignore this reality. You do so at your own peril.
So true.....many of the hunks-of-shit in Murica would go to a place like Venezuela and pull some of that mean-mugging bullshit on the wrong person, quickly getting fucking stabbed or a lot worse.
@@-MakeItGood- Men did it more often though not by much, but the fewer women who did it always seemed to take it way farther. The absolute worst situations I got involved in were with men though, usually drug addicts. It went something like this: Petty to mild disrespect (men), Mild to severe disrespect (women), severe to extreme disrespect (men).
Watching the video, I don't condone his behavior but it's hard to be sympathetic because they still kept egging him on even after he fired rounds at them. It was the oddest thing.
The only person I felt bad for in this situation was the kid. Like other people mentioned the couple kept on egging the shooter on even AFTER he shot at them several times. And this woman’s last words were “You fuck…” they definitely didn’t regret anything.
Yup, so many people live one day at a time, one hour at a time even, tip-toeing a very thin line on the verge of self destruction. Don't be the one to push them off, they might take you with them. Show some decency and compassion, you will 100% get them further away from the edge. All it takes is a simple smile sometimes to buy someone else an additional week, during which something else might happen and add up to 2 weeks, and from a single action that's how you bring back someone from the brink. The opposite is true, words and actions have immense power, use them wisely.
Dude, although I enjoyed this episode. As fucked up at Tim’s perspective was, there was a lot of truth to what he said lol... But you guys missed a lot of important details lol. It happened in Pennsylvania not Philadelphia, there was no snow blower just shovels, the couple’s son never came outside that was a different neighbor, and he did say one last thing to the husband. I can’t believe you guys missed that one, he told the husband “Pussy huh?!” and then shot him in the face twice. The shooter threw back the same insult the husband was making in the beginning before he went to grab his pistol. So he did have the ultimate comeback for the husband. Not just for the wife.
Ben is a sick individual to see this video and think "Hey i'd think Tim would enjoy this" Now I understand where he gets that laugh form. He's the Joker.
The more I read in the comments about these people, the more I realized they deserved it. I mean you just said she was literally ASKING for it. The arrogance to piss off someone WITH GUN IN HAND.... I mean that's DEMON LEVEL bullying.
I feel there was a history of harassment from the couple, when the husband said "we're going to make your life a living hell" and the neighbor snapped.
@@laqueenawilliams4762the killer was never married. Never. stop spreading this cringe fan fiction just to demonize the couple. Were they assholes? Probably. Was the killer the most sympathetic heart of gold with a tragically dead wife? No!
I recently discovered you and I’m glued to your episodes. I honestly couldn’t imagine how anyone could make me laugh after seeing that horrible video but you managed to. This is why dark comedy guides us back to light and we need it to cope with tragic reality.
@@coolguy1952 i watched it a few times in stunning disbelief. I was exposed to gore at a young age so that sorta stuff doesnt phase me. But as a shooting caught on camera, its all absolutely nuts.
@@TheMasterTelevision we have more "normal" reactions of horror and shock. Even laughing can be a way to process the emotions. I would be concerned if a person felt nothing at this termination of life.
There's been times where my GF has gone Karen mode and starts getting loud at neighbours, etc. and I think of this situation. It absolutely wrecks my head. You never know what's going on in someone else's head/life and your little outburst / Karen mode can escalate very quickly. People, avoid unnecessary confrontation at all costs. It's just not worth it.
That video should be shown to men before they are allowed to graduate. You never know what guy has a few screws loose and will pop off. Men need to teach their wives how to keep their mouths shut.
The guy ran his mouth even more. "F you queer," "I'll make your life hell living here", "I'll beat your ass," was all him. He was an even bigger Karen than his wife and kept pushing him.
The guy tried changing tunes when he saw a gun, saying "put the gun down, put the gun down". He was being rude but at least tried to de-escalate. Then he wife chimes in "GO AHEAD I GOT YOU ON VIDEO". The wife knowingly escalated it.
possibly the best synopsis of real crime, while delivering real life lessons ever on the internet! This is a story for the ages and should be included in any and all education systems! And I have listened to this way to many times!! Kudos Ben & Tim!
9:00 no Tim she never know's she never learned the lesson even then . She thoughts cops would come the would revive her and the guy would go to jail. Or if she for a moment became self aware that she realized she was gonna die right there and then she was just confused.
Empathy is the most important lesson a human can learn, not just because it makes you kind, but because it makes you realize how far you might push someone acting the wrong way.
This clip captures well the brutal honesty that TD is able to deploy in order to peel back the layers of tragedy so that the ice cold truths can be uncovered.
People are so used to insulting people online in the digital age. They dared a guy with a gun to shoot them like they were insulting him over twitter. I think this may become more common as people don't know how to talk to each other face to face.
Do people not realize that all of Pennsylvania isn’t just Philadelphia though? This was in a quiet neighborhood in Northeastern PA between Scranton and Wilkes Barre.
Although there are better ways to handle this kind of situation, the fellow who shot the couple had just lost his wife. He had asked nicely for them to stop shoveling their salt laden snow onto his lawn. The chose to be assholes instead and push this guy who was obviously going through a lot until he decided enough is enough. Bad neighbors are bad neighbors. People need to understand that we are all living together. Being a shitty neighbor will result in bad stuff happening to you sooner or later. Had they simply shoveled their snow in to the street like everyone else, they would all still be alive. This isn't to justify shooting the idiots, just to remind people that everyone is having a hard time. Don't make it worse for someone else just because you can, or think you can.
Truth. horrible situation. But this man was seemingly just... Lost so much. Not at his most stable. In my mind they walked up to a bear with cubs and taunted it. Except in this case. There's no cubs. But a wife who wasn't there and a man who was on the edge ... So dang sad
No that sounds completely justified to me. We live in the jungle. Laws and norms are reactions to our behavior. The only security anyone has anywhere is a stable and caring community everywhere.
Jesus Christ this Is why I'm moving out of the Northeast. All this over some salty snow. It literally will dissolve and dilute it. It's not going to burn the damn lawn who the hell cares about lawns I'm so sick of lawns. All anyone cares about around here are lawns. The first four feet belong to the town anyway and they wreck it every time they come by and plow it.
@Tavious I do know this but snow causes plenty of territorial bickering and animosity. Think about WWI though. The assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was arguably a similar "petty" thing but it lit up the massive "powder keg". I don't know where you're from but I'm 34, in northern NY and so I've had to truly "deal with" snow since I was about 12-15ish and I'm beyond done with it. I mean we're talking Tim-Dillon-walking-around-his-out-of-gas-Suburban-screaming level done with snow. I also made the mistake of trying to live in the country, on a windy hill, raised gravel driveway because the yard is a damn basin. Very long specific story filled with, arguably innocent naivete, arguably pigheaded obtuse stupidity. Either way, it can drive one insane. I don't understand why any cities or towns exist north of like...the Delmarva penninsula. No human should live where it's that cold. Anyway. I wish them well.
@@pault6347 And here I love the snow and wish it snowed more, a lot more. So does my wife. However, we love our neighbors and generally get alone well with everyone. Last year we used our tractor to plow everyone's driveway, the street we live on, and we shoveled everyone's walkway and porch off every time it snowed, even when we both had Covid. If we were that guy's neighbors instead of those two scumbags, well, there would be no news story because we'd be having him over for dinner.
Honestly the video disturbed me but this really helped me process it lol When Tim said about the shooter coming back out with the rifle and “part of you is like ‘Oh no...’” I actually laughed so loud, just phenomenal Bless u Tim 🙏🏻
Geez this is disturbing. One thing that stuck with me was how the prick husband left his wife behind after the guy started shooting. And also when he goes back to the guy to finish him off he says “Pussy, huh?”
This is the result of 2 severely mentally I’ll people that have gotten away with this behavior for a very long time. The guy that shot them was driven to the edge.
It's reported that the couple were neighborhood bullies to everyone and they relentlessly bullied the shooter and his terminal wife. She dies a couple weeks before the incident, they continue to bully him and I'm assuming this is the result of that.
She got blasted and it was well deserved and fascinating. With that said murder is unacceptable and this guy that snapped must be punished to the full extent of the law.
@@FazeParticles He offed himself minutes later but I suppose he will face eternal judgement and whatever punishments that entails. As for our mortal realm - she sure punished him by 'getting it all on camera' and aha!
That chilling moment where this clip autoplays right after Tim finishes saying "How do you quarantine a country of 300million? Now, we still don't know if it's actually gonna happen, but the mental health repercussions would be severe."
Score one for the little guy haha i mean those people were probably bullying people for a long time thinking they can walk over anyone with empty threats and shit. Finally said that shit to someone who was willing to end their life to make a point
There's always that one individual who is on the razor's edge of a mental break or becoming self destructive. They could be anyone, at anytime. It usually isn't a hassle to not be an asshole, it doesn't cost anything to be polite. You never know maybe a little friendliness can help edge them back from the brink.
His wife had recently died of cancer and yeah, they were the neighborhood shitheads. They picked him out and had been pulling shit for years before his wife passed. The definition of "They had it coming". Shame the old guy popped himself. R.I.P.
What I learned from that video is that there’s always gonna be someone who has less to lose than I do so it’s best not to antagonize people because you have no idea what they could actually do to you if you push them too far
Agree Tim. Alittle composure would have possible avoided this situation on both side. Sad to see but this pair of people deserved each other. The couple did instigate alot of it!
The guy literally fired rounds and probably purposefully missed, and they kept rattling off at him. I was like, "shut the fuck up!" then he didn't miss.
