The Mannings and Mel Kipper Jr made Danny Dimes a top 5 pick. Did the same thing with Mitchell Trubesky who was drafted over Deshaun Watson who played in 2 Championships games. Mel Kipper find a white QB and sell him in the top of the draft every year. No one was buying the QB from Kentucky with 15 interceptions as a 1st rounder, but Mel Kipper was selling. The NYG schedule was weak last year. After one good year the planned worked. We all getting played by Mel Kipper jr.

I mean I understand keeping him in at this point to guarantee a good pick in the draft, but they were talking about benching Russell Wilson two weeks into the season, but Daniel Jones shouldn't be benched after 4 inconsistent/ bad weeks? I'm a Commanders fan, so if there's one thing I learned about being in the NFC East, it's that you have to take your chances because there's a shot every single year. You never know who's coming out of our division to make the playoffs. Even if the Eagles win the division, that wild card spot could literally be any one of the other three teams and it usually is. And once you make the playoffs, literally anything can happen. So the Giants just have to figure out are they going to prioritize a good draft pick and potentially do the same thing all over again next year, or bench Daniel Jones possibly win some games, potentially get a wild card spot and compete for a championship.

How is this shocking? The Giants finished last year 3-6-1. And even when they started 6-1, Jones threw for over 200 yards TWICE in those 7 games. Basically, the Giants would’ve been better off tanking last year and drafting Stroud. They were set up for it. First year head coach, it’s not like they were going to fire him after one year. They were rebuilding. Instead they had no alternatives at QB and were forced to sign Jones since they limped into the playoffs with a 9-7-1 record. Jones had 10 games where he couldn’t even reach 200 yards passing. 5 games where he didn’t throw a touchdown pass. When the Giants declined his 5th year option they basically sealed their fate. They hire a new coach who has a QB on a prove it year, they go to the playoffs even though they were trash and now the head coach is forced to work with a player who will probably cost him his job.

That just shows me people only care about him being paid rather then actual discuss what could be happening to his game and why it looks the way it does.
