I've just recently discovered your channel, but from what I've seen so far, it looks like we have some similar tastes in movies (especially horror). Mama is my favorite supernatural horror film as well, and possibly my favorite horror period. The use of practical (live actor) & CG (to enhance, mostly) effects on the ghost are so amazing and so scary!

I really love the Paranormal Activity films. I mean, I'm not a fan of the overall plot by the time the 3rd and 4th came out, but I still adore the films. I've seen them so many times and I just love them and still find them scary. And Grave Encounters is amazing. I seriously love that film!

Great idea for a top 10. looking forward to your next lists. I loved Thirteen Ghosts and I really enjoyed hearing all the back stories of the ghosts on the DVD. And The Woman In Black is another one i really enjoyed.

I am watching all over your vids because I'm a huge horror fan. If you've heard of Dead Meat before, you and James are two of my favorite reviewers. One thing I wanted to point out is how much it sucks that you have to preface your reviews or discussions with the point that people need to be nice in their opinions. I've never looked for negative comments (because I don't give reviews lol) but I don't like how people have to take something fun and gatekeep it in a way that diminishes the input of others. You're great and that isn't because you're a girl but because you simply are great. Sorry for the rant :D

The Skeleton Key is my favorite supernatural horror movie. I can never get enough of it. And now I live in Louisiana so I think of it all the time haha.

Some interesting choices there Sarah, some I've seen - some I haven't, but I'm intrigued to see them now. Love the Paranormal Activity series; people who want outright horror and bone chills will be disappointed with them, but they're not those kind of movies - were never meant to be. They're a good exploration of possession, and they're very intelligently done. I love the subtleness of the jump scares, the fact that they use unkown actors - which adds to the suspension of disbelief i.m.o. And those houses that they're set in, those houses are gorgeous. Love The Fourth Kind Too. I like the found footage genre, some work, some don't, but Paranormal Activity, The Fourth Kind, and The Blair Witch Project definitely work. Plus, it they also spawned another phenomena, of internet back-stories, and fake websites. How many people were drawn in by that production tool? Fantastic. Another good found footage one is 'Session 9' if you haven't seen that. Loved the clip Sarah, keep it up.

Good list. The Ring is the scariest movie I have ever seen. I saw MAMA recently and was very impressed with it. It would definitely be high on my list along with the Grave Encounters movies. I could not get into the Final Destination franchise. I found the concept ludicrous. I had a hard time picturing Death as a a villain. I just couldn't see him as supernatural entity who is so anal about who lives and who dies that if someone doesn't die he sets up ridiculously complex Rube Goldberg situations to kill them. Is he that bored? Really? That being said I at least liked how the first two were done. I'd love if you did a full review of The Ring.

I love horror movies just like you but there must be something weird going on with me because they pretty much don't scare me. There is only maybe 2 that make me think about them at night when i wanna fall asleep haha but the rest just don't scare me at all but i still love to watch them, i think i just like seeing horrible stuff if it's not real of course, but i really do enjoy them. I'm just telling you this because i thought you could have an opinion based on the fact that you also love horror movies and you have a psychology course. Idk i think it might be interesting :) btw love your videos on this channel and your fashion/beauty channel as well :)

I love supernatural horror movies My fav type of horror

I'm relatively new to the Horror Genre (I only got into it about a year ago), but I really like Paranormal Activity, Insidious (not sure if this is a supernatural horror), Oculus, The Ring (for me this movie was less of an outright scary and more of an overall creepy), Grave Encounters, and a couple of others that escape my memory at the moment

I found the Paranormal Activity boring and prodictable (expect for the 3rd/Marked Ones). I love the Ring because I live in the area of where they filmed the movie (so extra creepy). I live on the Island that they used for the horse farm and that giant bridge. You are a few years younger than myself, but one major ghost movie that should not be ignored is Poltergeist! It's an oldie 1982 and hasn't aged well. But it was one of my first horror movies I watched as a kid and it scared me so much!

Have you seen The Changeling (1980) with George C. Scott? Holy God! Best haunted house movie I’ve ever seen!

I love the first Final Destination and saw it about a hundred times :-D Well, I saw The Ring at the cinema and it scared the hell out of me. I never watched it since then because I never want to sleep with the lights on for three days again :-D

I LOVE House on Haunted Hill!! Jeffery Rush is amazing in it!! FYI, they never sought out to make Jeffery Rush look like Vincent Price but when they put the facial hair on him they realized how much he actually looked like him so they went with it.

I love all the paranormal activity movies, besided 4, and I didn't see The Marked Ones yet, but I have a feeling I won't like it as much as the first 3...

When the first paranormal activity movie came out, I liked it a lot and thought it was pretty different and more "believable" than most movies than involve possession. I didn't think much of any of the sequels afterward although the 3rd one was alright, buy the original is probably 1 of the best demon movies I've ever seen.

I don't hate P.A., I think it's boring. I've watched it alone at night and I wasn't afraid at all. I think it's because I don't like movies that use the technique of sudden sounds or scenes. I like to be surprised by the plot, be involved in the story; not just be scared.

I'm really surprised you liked Mama so much. I That one was particularly offensive to me. I had a real hard time with the whole father taking the kids to the woods to kill them and then them being left in the woods to fend for themselves. Some of the scenes were incredibly inappropriate for a child to be acting in and were beyond disturbing to me as a mother. I know you said not to comment if we disagree with you but I also think you are a rational woman who can respect some one else's view as I respect yours, just wanted to post a different perspective in case you hadn't thought of it that way before.
