The biggest plot hole is how the hell Matt went the whole 8 seasons surrounded by vampires, originals and near death experiences, but still remained alive, and human. this dude didn't even catch a cold.
Ashley Trader Yeah but we’ll still get to see Caroline. So technically we haven’t seen the end of her story yet. We don’t know when but she will appear in Legacies.
@@paranormal-naomie2931 Ironically those things ALWAYS come back in the present though. Katherine is a good example as is the whole The Originals show.
@@hilmahollo1741 she said it in season 4 when she died that bringing someone back has consequences just like when Jeremy could see ghost and how Bonnie was the anchor for the otherside and could feel every death
People who heard about Silas like professor Shane used to go visit Silas, sacrifice their blood without even knowing. All they knew was that they were seeing their dead loved ones, Silas Have heard hundreds of people come and have imaginary conversations with ghosts that he was able to project by using his psychic powers meaning that he has gone through the minds of hundreds of people to be able to project their voices, appearance and in this case language and accent.
i find it so annoying that bonnie and caroline didn’t get their happy ending, caroline lost stefan after only just getting married to him, but at least caroline has the twins, but bonnie was constantly sacrificing herself and risking her life to save others, yet she doesn’t get a happy ending?! her and enzo were so cute:( 🥺🥺
My thoughts exactly! Bonnie died so many times for everybody, sacrifised everything and Caroline was always there when somebody needed help and a friend. They should have ended better.
I think it was weird that even though enjoy died they still showed him in the rest of the episodes and Bonnie can still hear him and stuff. Like, why didn’t they just keep him alive!
Starbella Tonkin exactly! it hardly even added to the storyline, all it did was give bonnie an excuse to hate stefan, which wasn’t even really necessary, if they really felt they had to kill someone who was close to bonnie to make her angry, they should of killed bonnies’ mum instead, as that would give bonnie a reason to hate stefan, but not ruin the happy ending she deserves!!
You're telling me that Lexi couldn't survive 1 episode but Matt Donovan (who is literally the most annoying character) survived 8 full seasons?!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW!!!!!!????
Kirsten Clarke Thought it was because they stayed on the other side because they haven’t found peace and moved on such as Alaric needed to watch over Damon and Pearl watching over Anna then finding peace once they find each other ? I’m pretty such it happens w Lexi 2?
Fennec 909 No Lexi had unfinished business and when she saved Stefan and the others from the Other Side at the end of season 5 she told, who we now know as Cade, that he can’t have her and she found peace.
Fennec 909 jenna didn’t even go to the other side, esther said that she moved on and that she knows peace. so i’m assuming she never even went the other side as she was pure. lexi on the other hand didn’t find peace because she was trying to help stefan and i think they left it open so she could come back in some ways, she did how ever find peace because she didn’t want to take the place for damon when she said what kind of friend would i be if i went before damon. something to that effect but you get what i mean.
Maybe Bc Jeremy was younger so he didn’t die yet... Elena would have died first before him in the after life and true i didn’t know they were going with the Alaric wanting him to hunt instead of art school thing
Rose Kahn but she didn’t know that was gonna happen til it does when she actually dies. The video talks about hen she fakes her death but jumps inside Elena
I think she meant when Katherine seemingly died of old age due to side effect of using then losing the cure. Technically, as a doppelganger, she should have been sent straight to the other side which Bonnie should have felt. However as we know, Nadia had a traveler friend help passenger Katherine into Elena. Ergo, she didn't die and Bonnie didn't notice. So it is a plot hole.
lucariomew358/2 amara didn’t go to the other side, she was a doppelgänger (and had the cure). So, why would Katherine go? No. She died a human. You’re telling me if elena died in the car accident as a human she would have gone to the other side for eternity? Probably not.
Tvd always made each “villain” seem super bad and scary and then to water them down throughout each season and make them likable in some way lol they never as bad as they project them to be at first like Klaus....I love him
One plot hole that has always stuck out in my mind was the episode where Damon and Elena went to find Stefan and they were in Stefan’s old apartment. The part where Elena hides in Stefans wine closet when Klaus and Stefan show up. Stefan notices Elena in the closet but doesn’t tell Klaus. But why couldn’t Klaus hear Elena’s heartbeat?
@Tanischa Wijkmans Yes because Mr Paranoid Michaelson didn't think to listen to Stephans heart beat when he suddenly paused in front of the cabinet or a newly minted Vampire werewolf hybrid didn't smell Elana was in the apartment or even Daemon. It all checks out
@@sathyanarayanay.h.9630 that's bullshit klaus has been written as a genius master mind nobody could out think him. Just like how he knew someone was visiting kathrine when he left. @@jeronyambiatat2176 I’m so confused by the “ghosts” being there on the finale. Like if there is no other side and no hell, where are they floating in from!?
She could not bring anyone back from heaven or hell, just from another magical created dimension, e.g. for supernatural beings (created by Katia, I think). This dimension was destroyed, the souls went to hell, heaven or were earthly bound as ghosts to Earth. (For my opinion, Damon died early and was then an earth-bound ghost - only Elena found peace in her heaven. The same happened with Stefan.) When Enzo died, this dimension was already destroyed. Bonnie and Damon had stranded in another prison dimension created by the Geminis, before they could come back.
Good, Enzo was a manipulative bad ass. With his strong will he tried to manipulate everyone in his surrounding, and for his own best. He was lying constantly. He loved Bonnie because he didn't want to be alone - and she was for him a powerful useful witch. And ups, suddenly Bonnie is willing to forget Damon, steal the cure from Elena and give it to Enzo - before that he tried to convince her to become a vampire. Without having any thoughts what this would mean to Damon and Elena. After taking the cure, both would had disappeared from Mystic Falls. By the way, without cure Elena would have started aging in her coffin, but gladly she did not have to wait till Bonnie's death. One thing is sure - listening was she said in the Psychiatry, when Damon was in his coffin, she was in love with Damon since the prison world, and that was the reason she was so upset with him, leaving her behind only with a letter. Or why he didn't want her to know he had slept with another girl (when Elena was still sleeping in her coffin). Enzo filled just the empty space Damon had left in her heart.
tbh i hate bonnie, she knew others were struggling and still proceeded to antagonise them and guilt trip them, she only cared about how everything effected her
@@islac7835 so what its not Bonnie's duty to love him. Its not her duty to provide kai's character reedemption arc when he is the one who left her behind. When kai and bonnie were alone in prison world he tortured her a lot. And bonnie tried to leave him behind in the prison world because he killed half of his sibling and was going to take revenge and possibly kill some members of Gemini coven when he gets out.
I have got another one : Alaric compelled elena to forget that she loved damon and when he became human again elena still could not remember that but when stefan became human everyone he ever compelled started to remember everything!
I think with Stefan’s case is that his murders started being linked to him. The police were catching on and he was unable to compel them that they’re incorrect. I feel like if the show was real, they probably had to compel a lot of police officers to turn a blind eye when it came to finding their prints on bodies. I could be completely incorrect, but I think that’s the only case where people “remembered” what Stefan did.
@@ceciliathefirstno, there is a whole scene where Dorian tries to kill Stefan because his memories of Stefan killing his entire fam and then compelling him to forget it came back after Stefan became human??? Also the entire day Caroline spends in the police station re-compelling every person who remembered Stefan's crimes???
Let's say the mind of a vampire is not like that of human lol. Human beings can't shot down their humanity... Plus that wasn't the same process... Remember it took a lot to completely erase her love for Damon... she had to forget the moment she fell inlove and all...
Actually biggest plot hole was when Bonnie broke the spell between her and Elena. Like WTF? The powerful leader of gemini coven puts a binding spell on them which even says that if she tries to break the spell they’ll both die and suddenly just like that Bonnie breaks it. It made no sense. It would make more sense if at least Saltzman twins broke the spell.
You have a good point and I think the only way they could explain it would be, Bonnie pulled a Cade and used her psychic plane to allow her to come back after dying to break the spell
Also, the fact that she can become so powerful in the first place. I know this is literally what's said in the video but in both tvd and to they talk about powerful witches being either ones that have the power of many witches (Bonnie in season 2 has the power of 100 witches, Davina in the originals has the power of 3 witches that were like overpowered and sacrificed). Heritage, because some witch families have way more powers than others, or witches that channel magic from overpowered things (in some cases themselves). In the shows the most powerful witch families are of course, the original family with literally everyone being like the most powerful witches to have ever lived. But also the Gemini coven, but they've been cursed to absorb the powers of their dead twins. And Salem witches (which include the Bennett family) are also mentioned to be pretty powerful. But since the Bennett witches are often shown to be just like any other witches and not super powerful it makes no sense that Bonnie would be out of nowhere because she "figured the witch thing out". Sure I like the idea that a witch's powers isn't a physical thing that you could take away and that there's no limit to what a witch's powers can accomplish. But that literally just goes against everything either of the three shows in this universe has ever said and if that is true then everything that happens after that in The originals and legacies could easily be fixed!
Evve Locce Actually the Bennett witches are the most powerful of the top 3 witch families (Bennett, Mikaelson/Dahlia, and Parkers,). Bonnie's ancestors have proven themselves to be extremely powerful. Qetsiyah is a Bennett and not only did she create immortality she also created the other side and made Amara the anchor of it. Both she and the travels believed that witches could be more powerful than what they were if they just stopped abiding by the "rules" of magic because, aside from believing in yourself, there are no real rules to magic. The other witches snuffed this idea out by cursing the Traveler and killing Qetsiyah, which didn't work out well because she comes back later. After that they implemented rules that acted as mental blocks on all witches who followed them latter on. This worked for the most part but when push comes to shove Bennett witches have always been able to do extraordinary things. A Bennett witch created the 5, a Bennett witch trained Esther, Bennett witches cast a spell to preserve and keep Esther alive for centuries, Bennett witches stopped the initial invasion of Cade, Bennett witches were among the witches in Salem who are said to be powerful, Emily Bennett trapped all the vampires of Mystic Falls in a church with a barrier spell so powerful it took two of her descendants to break it and one of them ended up dying because of it.
the only thing i agree with here is number three. stefan could have easily broke elena’s seat belt and grabbed her arm as well to drag her out of the truck so she could swim out while still holding matt.
I wanna add that when Alaric became human again, his compulsion on Elena didn't go away (she couldn't remember her feelings for Damon) and when Stefan became human again, all the people that he's ever compelled remembered everything, that Caroline had to take care of each one of them... how is that possible? It's still my favorite series tho.
Thats a good question. Because its been proven before that when an original dies the compulsion breaks. Eg: in the originals in season 3 we were given flashback of how elijah compelled tristan, aurora and lucien to pretend they were his family so as to be hunted by michael and they only came out of the compulsion when the original family was daggered by the hunters when they were in italy in the 12th century
I think its a cure thing, because when he was on the other side he literally would have died, but he stayed alive, like he was supposed to die, so he became human
@@justthisgirl1284 It's also in TVD, because when elijah compelled katherine to stay in the tomb, she lied to damon saying it would only secure the compulsion if they daggered him, but ofc that wasnt true, so when they did dagger him his compulsion over her broke
The biggest plothole for me is that when stefan takes the cure everyone that he compelled got their memories back but when katherine took the cure nothing was said about that. You know damn well katherine compelled thousands of people over 500 years, she even compelled a whole town to be her friend.
@@sudipta_sahathat’s because the cure was sucked out of Katherine by Silas, so then she aged quickly, Stefan had the cure in his system right up until he died when he gave it to Damon instead
@@pinsroithong3445 she was underwater, so when she tried to unbuckle her seatbelt it was stuck bc of the pressure but Matts seatblet unbuckled just fine. That was wierd.

Stefan not being able to save both Elena and Matt from the truck always drove me crazy. She was conscious when he swam down. So why, at the very least, couldn't he rip off her seatbelt so she could swim up while he grabbed Matt???
Cosima Rascher I think u didn’t understood. There’s a plot hole because before Katherine transfers into Elenas body Bonie saw Katherine when she “died” but Katherine said that she isn’t ready and than she came back to life. After that she transfers into Elena and because of that Bonie couldn’t see her getting to another side or to hell. That’s the plot hole because Bonie should have known that Katherine didn’t die
She's talking about when Katherine allegedly died on her death bed (in actuality, she possessed Elena). If Katherin died right there she should have passed through Bonnie.
This isn’t a plot hole and this isn’t what they’re referring to. They’re referring to when Stefan stabbed Elena to get Katherine out of her body and then seeing her at the church. That’s literally why they showed the church scene and not her dying in the bedroom where Elena was possessed. You both are incorrect. Also at this time Katherine was a mortal. So it isn’t a plot hole for Bonnie to think she was indeed dead after dying from accelerated aging. She just didn’t know. Her being the anchor doesn’t mean she fully understands everything the other side has to offer. Keep in mind the other side was created by the witch that made Silas immortal. I forget her name presently but yea. People need to stop assuming she knows how everything works just because she’s the anchor. This is why she didn’t understand why Katherine wasn’t accepted into the other side in the church
Major Plothole: Vampirism was created to serve as a protection against wolves. Ironically, it turns out a wolves bite is poisonous/deadly to vampires in particular. 🥴🥴
It's explained on Originals that only after Michael slaughtered a bunch of wwolves did witches give them the poison venom so they'd have a fighting chance again.
Well, what the originals have *is* protection against werewolves, they are more powerful and can’t be killed by their venom. The lesser vampires are lesser versions, and technically have diluted vampirism, the originals have the original full version.
The Mikaelson's said they were the first vampires not the first immortals. Silas said he was the first immortal and hated when people called him a vampire. But even if they claimed to be to be the first immortals until then Silas was a myth along with the cure, until he wasn't!
I did, when I saw Rebekah first I found it hard adapting to her character because of the role she played in h20 and then when I saw Hayley, I was like wow, mermaids as vampires and werewolves 🤣🤣
@@chinazadionettaekwe7705 me too. But I think Clair Holt did a great job with Rebekka's character. I haven't seen her in another shows or films but I really liked her in the Vampire diaries.
Why is it that every two episodes two main characters six random citizens and some random ass supernatural person dies for ELENA like this girl should have guilt for DAYS
The creator Julie Plec said they had the whole fog and crow thing with Damon because of the books and because they wanted to sell a vampire show. Once they got picked up she says she didn't want her vampires to have so many powers like twilight. There's a lot of things that change when you do a pilot vs when you actually develop the rest of the show months later
Javier Méndez Pérez yea like they literally changed the entire set basically. the school was different, the cemetery was different, the salvatore house was different, etc.
Ok but Jenna's death was always pretty clear for me. The other side it's like a purgatory for supernatural to punish them for what they did in life or something like that, so jenna actually never did something bad so she had nothing to regret therefore she went straight to peace. A good example would be Lexi, before the other side got destroyed she found peace helping stefan and his friends.
@@javiermendezperez6910 Also Stefan found peace in the end so he saw Lexi again :) If she would have went to hell, Stefan would have destroyed her by destroying hell
OP tries to point out inconsistencies in the established mythology of the show. If you read the TVD wiki about Qetsiyah you find out who created the other side and why. Qetsiyah crafted the other side as a preventative measure to prevent Silas from dying as a witch and finding peace. Which brings us to what's wrong with Jenna not being on the other side. The other side was specifically created to prevent against a supernatural just skipping out and finding peace. Silas was a dick, he probably didn't feel all that guilty about misleading Qetsiyah, the love of his life was dead and he wanted to die and reunite with her, thers no reason he wouldn't find peace. Which would make Qetsiyahs trap completely useless against him, he may have been a dick but he wasn't stupid he would have figured it out.
When a witch dies, we are led to believe that all their magic is reversed. Example: when Bonnie died and Silas was freed from the stone spell. Well, when Kai died shouldn’t that have reversed the Elena spell?
@@sathyanarayanay.h.9630 not exactly. some spells still exist regardless if the witch is alive or not. Some spells depend merely on the ingredients or materials used or just the kind if spell itself and not the person who did them. like the tomb with the vampires. The witch who cast that spelled was long gone and dead, yet the boundary still stood.
Spells are not automatically reversed. As bonnie said in season 5 powerful spells are bound by something even more powerful eg : the witch , the sun, the moon, or a powerful binding agent. A spell only reverses upon the death if it was bound to the witch who cast it. An example is in season 4 when bonnie cast a spell to petrify Silas and the spell broke in the season finale because Bonnie died. For the case of Kai the spell didnt unravel because he used Bonnie as the binding agent for his spell. That is why Bonnie was given the power to choose either she dies for Elena to awake or live her life knowing Elena will remain asleep.
something that always bothered me was in the beginning when katherine would pretend to be elena or vice versa and nobody could tell?? as if vampires can't tell the difference between a human and a vampire ?? also how about the fact that in the entire original family somehow elijah is the only one with no british accent like wtf
@@ileanagodinez7767 yeah but that didn't really bother me bc at least she sounded british in the show but thy couldn't have elijah at least fake an accent?? it always irked me
Nope the first season is according to the book so Damon just as more power in turns into bird multiple time at the start of the show then just stop lol
ok but didn’t they literally say the Jenna found peace because she died “pure” or whatever like her becoming a vampire to the point of her death was forced upon her
well she only officially dated stefan tyler and matt, and she and klaus had a very complicated relationship but we can count that but that's it, damon raped her, we cant count that and she was stayed with alaric just for the kids' sake
Let’s be real, nobody could even enjoy Bonnie’s character!! EVERY TIME YOU SAW HER SHE WAS EITHER DYING, BEING SACRIFICED OR SACRIFICING HERSELF TO SAVE THE OTHERS 😂🤦🏽♀️
She was the ONLY reason why I bothered to finish the series. I stopped watching after season 3, I think. Came back at season 6 because I saw trailer spots on tv like she was going to get more air time and someone looking out for her, plus that Nina was leaving. So I wanted to see if she would finally get her happy ending. I was duped. And f pissed off too🤬!!! But I guess I didn't think the writers would do her dirty on the very last season, because it was the last one. Assholes til the end.
Weeby&Geeky I felt sad for Bonnie season 6 she was so lonely and kai kept abusing her in the prison world while Damon just left her to go back to elena which she didn’t even love him because Alaric compelled her to forget theyre love
@@nmtlnm Esther? @@softbout1992 well that's bullshit cause the other side is basically hell then. And my that logic: Remember when Stefan turn that rando serial killer into a vampire for Jermey to kill? did he find peace as well?
1 Mindblowing fact that some of you didnt even notice about TVD: in the Pilot Episode Caroline says : " thats Stefan blablabla... we will marry in June " and then in Season 8 guess who married in June.
You lost me at the first plot hole. That scene was the beginning of the show so they were probably still establishing the rules and the plot of the show then. The fog and the crow was just to create an atmosphere and fear for Damon's arrival.
its not a plothole because it was just never explored. in the last episode, a crow appears when elena writes in her diary so its not because they were establishing rules in the first ep and slipped up, they just decided not to explore that route
It’s a pilot episode lol It’s the episode used to win over the network. So they vamped it up. Pun intended lol So they could get the green light to make more shows to air.
Enzo says to Damon during a fight scene not to bother because he’s older and stronger. Then we find out he was turned by lily in 1903 clearly making him younger
Elena was still conscious when her and Matt crashed into the water. I'm still salty about Stefan not unbuckling her and letting her out to swim to the surface while he drags Matt up.
@@brittsilva the plot.of elena and Damon had Be gone since day one throughout the entire seasons before they had a connection leaving it open for a relationship to come along. The sire bond didnt make her be with him. She was already in love with him before that. The moment she fell in love with him she was still with Stefan that was explained when she had her memories taken. The sire bond made her loyal. Made her listen to Damon but it never made her love him
Julie one of the creators of the show said that of elena stays human she will never fall in love for damon so they needed to make elena vampire and make her character go dark. So they just needed to do like this that's all
Here's another plot hole that no one mentioned that will blow your mind: Only people who have watched all of the seasons would understand this though. Only true fans will get this. So, technically, no one but Bonnie was truly immortal. Every time she "died" she was merely just traveling dimensions. The first dimension was called "the other side" which was made from Qetsiyah, Bonnie's descendant, which explains why she was able to be in it and be the anchor. After Qetsiyah's dimension unraveled, she was able to be in Kia's Hell, the dimension that her grandmother made for the gemini coven. Only her blood could manipulate it and when she came back to the living world, there wasn't a loop hole at all that was established for that spell, which could only mean that she naturally had the ability to come back to life. When Damen came back from Kia's dimension, he couldn't have done it without Bonnie pushing him out. Even the Originals had a loop hole, the White oak stake, that could kill them because their immortality was just a spell casted on them by their mother. It's not like they were born with that ability like Bonnie was. Silas casted a spell on himself to make him immortal. The cure was the loop hole. The Sirens were granted immortality by Cade. They were never truly immortal without his help. Cade wasn't immortal either. It was his psychic blast that allowed him to create another dimension, but the dager made from the stake he burnt from was the loop hole that could kill him forever. Even Reina, the Vampire Huntress could die permanently if all of her clan who were linked to her had died, but when Damen killed Reina's last link that was in the Armory, nothing happened to BONNIE! She stayed alive! Everyone had something that could permanently kill them but Bonnie DIDN'T! She even went into Cade's dimension and brought Damen back out after Cade killed him. She had the gift of life the entire time. Also, Jeremy couldn't see ghosts. He could technically only see people who were "on the other side." (Qetsiyah's dimension) We know this because he lacked the ability to see his parents through out all of the seasons, and his auntie Jenna. His parents and Jenna were all shown as ghosts in the last episode, along with Stephan, Lexi, Damen, and Elana. Notice that Bonnie was not shown as a ghost in the last episode, most likely because she's immortal and decided to be with Enzo in the dimension she created for him. What explains Jeremy's ability to see people on the other side is the fact that he had an emotional tie to Bonnie, a Bennett witch. This is a consistent notion because Matt also eventually had the ability to see people who were on the other side, (his sister Vicky) Remember that Matt's ancestor, Ethan Maxwell, had dated a Bennett witch too, which explains why he was granted the ability to see people from the other side as well. She was also magically able to go around Kia's spell that was meant to kill both Elana and Bonnie if tampered with, but for someone who found out she was able to cheat death, that wasn't wasn't a problem for her. She found out she could cheat death after her psyche was rendered lifeless in the very last episode. She then had visited Elana in the limbo. She told Elana she was ready to die but Enzo came up behind her and told her it wasn't her time yet, he said to go back. She woke up telling everyone that she seen Elana and that she knew what to do after it all happened.
IDC what ppl say, the best villain was Kai. Even when he didn't go against Jo n became half of Luke once emerged, that guy was still on point when it came to keeping ur interest
Everyone of them turned off their emotions at some point thats flipping the switch... I have an example for EVER vampire we seen & only Elena was a newborn that seen flip it off
That could work, tho the whole idea with the thing was that Elena was supposed to be asleep, since the actress left the show. And, if a heretic or siphoner would have siphoned the magic out of Elena, they would siphon all the magic out, inclusing the power of the cure. Which would make the cure in Elenas blood totally useless, no one else would be able to be cured. And the whole idea about the cure was that Elena and Damon was going go be humans together.
The biggest plot hole is Caroline being validictorian like when does she study or do homework when u have to do a lot of this to be validictorian and when would she have the time
Where I'm from, the valedictorian gets voted. It's still usually a smart student, but the students pick someone to represent them and give a decent speech. I'm pretty sure our valedictorian may have had the highest grade, but that wasn't what got them the role
😂 That was always my boyfriend's problem with the show. He would miss a few episodes here and there and I'd fill him in on the important things. And then when he did pop back in to watch it with me he'd say, "They're STILL trying to go to school?!"
elena and caroline and every good vamp in in the scooby gang's life got daylight rings from bon bon. and any other daylight walking vamp either found their own rings or were originals
It is basically mass produced now so that every vampire has a chance at a normal life. In the Vampire Diaries the only person who could make them was Bonnie but Bonnie was constantly being killed, sacrificed or held up doing something else for someone else and she was the only witch in town except her grandmother who died. In the Originals Marcel had a coven of witches that he controlled which gave him the advantage of having daylight rings any time he wants. In Legacies witches are all around the school so they probably learned how to make them for each vampire and all Alaric has to do is recruit the ones who are newborns at night so that they don’t burn to death.
If you watch season 4 episode 21 when Klaus came to new Orleans you'll see the part where Klaus's was surprised some of the vampires had daylight ring and Klaus's told him its a little secret he got from him so he asked one of how witches make some for most of his people
1) There's a throwback to Damons' crow/fog powers in the finale when he goes to pick up Elena in the cemetery 2) Jenna moved on from the other side because she had no unfinished business, she was set free 3) Dead supernaturals have to pass through the Anchor to pass to the other side, but Katherine couldn't as she got dragged off to hell 4) Vampires in water have more strength than humans but not enough to drag 2 people out as they also can drown 5) The originals thought of themselves as the first immortals until finding out sylas was the first, then got rebranded as the first vampires, not even the originals knew that an immortal came before them as he got locked in a tomb for 2000 years
On number 3, Katherine didn't get dragged off to hell she would've been stuck in the other side BUT the other side got destroyed so then Damon and Bonnie got trapped in the alternative universe and others lived on in peace or went to hell. (Depending on whether they were a witch/human or vampire). The other side wasn't destroyed at that part of the series so Bonnie should've seen Katherine go through, maybe Bonnie just forgot or maybe she just thought Katherine went somewhere else but there's no logical explanation why.
@Bronwyn Mary they’re saying that Bonnie should’ve noticed when Katherine didn’t pass through her especially when Katherine was about to before but then she decided she wasn’t ready to die. They were all waiting around to celebrate her death so Bonnie should’ve noticed
@Bronwyn Mary I'm re watching the show and Bonnie did see Katherine when she got old. but then Katherine was like No, im not dying yet. and then blinked back into existence. then conveniently right after Katherine supposedly died, Bonnie and Jeremy went to go visit Bonnie's relatives for some weeks. it wasn't till after every figured out that Katherine was in Elena that they called Bonnie.
Can someone explain to me why Damon and Stefan couldn’t tie up Katherine in the tunnels and leave when the hellfire was released, instead of sacrificing themselves?
Amneet Kaur because she had to be dead when the hellfire came so she could remain in hell . but if she was tied down there herself , she could've easily pulled the dagger i think it was out of her and escaped. and Damon or anybody couldn't stop her because he was now human and everyone had moved on with their lives .
more than that, stefan pushed damon out of the way at the last minute and he lay on the side completely safe so why couldn't the idea be to dagger her and literally move 2 steps to the side and be all fine
Yeah I wanna know too, like as soon as the hellfire comes down the tunnel, Damon could have daggered Katerina and then vamp speeded tf outta there to were Bonnie is and Stefan wouldn’t have diED
@@Kirrally_ Stefan had taken the cure (forced by Bonnie) so he would have aged 200 odd years like Katherine did and would have died soon anyway. He says this in the episode before sacrificing himself.
I've seen the show almost 9 times now, and I've noticed some of these. I'm wondering, does anyone dislike Elena as much as I do? She has the least character development, and she's kind of annoying
Mheeenn Started hating her character season 3, mhen so annoying true. I didn't like Caroline in the first season but mhen, the second season till the last was for Caroline for me, she grew! I think her being a vampire was the highlight. Elena was just so annoying as a doppelganger and even worse as a vampire.
10 years Later and TVD is still relevant... the only one that I agreed on are: the vervaine one, stefan, and Katherine's dead and the cure. the other ones are explained on the show.
The cure things actually explainable, it ages the immortal to their true age after being removed from their blood but elena was only a few years older so she aged a few years but katherine was over 300 years old so she aged rapidly to as much as her human body would allow
@@anlas3125 I'm not meaning that, it's about the dose, how they knew that ONE NEEDLED in a random spot in Elena's/ Stefan's body would contain the cure? if it was a "Magic" needle I might've understand but it was a random needle both times.
@@tameracallahan2487 at the beginning of the show and on Seasom 3 they explained that vervaine was destroyed by the Originals, and in Mystic falls Uncle "Zack" was the only one growing it, and if I recall very well Damon destroyed it at one point... so as the season pass vervaine became more accessible and easy to find, and they don't explain how. Katherine's dead, do they explain why BONNIE didn't notice Katherine pass through her?? I don't remember, so why she didn't tell them " Guys Katherine didn't pass through, something is wrong" and I don't remember the Stefan's one haha
@@melzia3103 I guess so. And even back when her parents crashed, he could of grabbed at least one of her parents along with her, but he only grabbed her. The whole vamps + water situation just has a lot of plot holes. They act as if it's a weakness for them, which I think is because they were trying at the beginning to base it off the books, but when they dropped a bunch of the book details, then they kinda just left some things hanging in the void with no actual reconnections. It causes a lot of confusion and frustration.
@@jocilyn7518 Also a very good point. Stefan could of helped her get the seatbelt off, then she could of just swam back up since she was conscious and Stefan could of grabbed Matt and everything would of been perfectly fine.
My biggest question: When Elena fell into her coma, Kai said that both she and Bonnie would die if Bonnie even tried to find a solution. So how did she find one in Season 8?
@@hao9508 You are misguided. In the novels, Damon had abilities and according to people who have read both the novels and watched the shows, Novels did it far better than the shows. Damon had powers but CW didn't have the budget (Just like always). So they removed that part to reduce the cost. Not only Damon, but every vampire had some kind of unique power in Novels.
It just depends upon the person as stefan said when he was human he was compassionate and cared about everything too much so when he became a vampire that all feelings heightened for him. So same happened with vicky
Caroline also experiences discomfort when her fangs came trough and gets burned by the sun. Elena couldn't get any blood at first too complete the transition because they where captured. She wasn't feeling all too well then.
Another plot hole is with their family cabin. Elena and Stefan go to the cabin in one of the early episodes in season 1 and when they arrive Elena mentions that she hasn’t been there since her parents died but she still wants to go in because she still wants it to be a special place like it has always been. But in S4 E9 Elena is talking to Jeremy about why she took him to their cabin to talk about his hunters curse and his urge to kill her, and she says that she took him there because even after her parents died, Aunt Jenna still took them there because it felt like even though they are dead, it’s like they were still there with them. So this doesn’t make sense because this means what Elena said in season 1 about her not being there since her parents died is false.
yeah that's a plot hole because in the beginning it was only 4 months that they had lost their parents so how could Jenna have been able to take them there?
Elena was a liar or the script wasn't perfectly writen 😂 another clear example is that Stefan told Elena in episode 1 that he has a brother but they are not close but when she met Damon in episode 2, she told him that Stefan said that he didnt have a brother wtf
Another plothole: Silas was going to take the cure from Katherine and the only way was to drain her completely, until she died. In season 8 when Bonnie turned Stephen into a human Bonnie only took a small dose of Elena’s blood to cure his vampirism.
I feel like they changed the rules so much with the cure because they had no idea where to run with it. For the actual characters, they probably just learned over time that they didn’t need that much to be cured. Elena wouldn’t age dramatically or anything because she was only dead for a couple of years (unlike Katherine and Stefan). It confuses me how them getting a syringe taken out of them could make them rapidly age. Stefan didn’t start aging when he got shot, but he would’ve after he took just a tiny bit to give it to Damon. I don’t know, it just doesn’t make that much sense to me.
Silas didn`t need her whole blood, much or less blood was not important, magicaly you only can take the cure once, Silas was just a sort of a vampire dirsty for a huge blood meal. And he wanted to play safe. When Bonnie took the cure from Elena (for Enzo) she thought how much blood she would probably need. But than she had only one injection of it and stuck it into Stefan after his killing of Enzo.
The biggest plot hole is Matt being more inmortal than klaus Mikaelson. I still can’t get over the fact that klaus and Hayley are dead and Elijah too I guess. 🥺🖤
Biggest plot hole is how at the end of the show they started to touch the vervain necklace that belongs to Elena and didn't get burned by it It was suppose to protect Elena from Damon at first.
Didn’t it originally belong to rebekka and also bonnie done some spell on it which made it explode so I can’t remember if that was a reason for it to be okay
the one they were touching was the one brought back from the prison world wasnt it? so that version of the necklace never had vervain in it in the first place
Bonnie's growth throughout the series annoyed me at times. She's a great character and an even more impressive actress, but the writing for her role just made me want to strangle her at times. She went from 'I can't do anything' to 'I can do everything' real quick. Other than that I think they explained away a lot of things, even if they were thought of just to fill the plot holes they created in the first place. We've noticed them though, we've got eyes and ears, as well as a functioning brain.
True but in the beginning she was trying to do it all herself, she ain’t light no candles or channel any other witches so when she started doing that it gave her power to grow so she ain’t need none of that
I think the worst plot hole was Rebecca saying that you can't ever be a witch and a vampire, and then having the heretics who are witch vampires for like a whole season
At first I said the same thing but then I realized that a heretic is different from a witch. If a regular witch is turned into a vampire it will lose its powers. A heretic has magic because before they were vampires they didn’t have their own magic they can only absorb it from another magic source like kye. So a heretic is basically absorbing its own vampire powers
@@TimSeries I think it was a real pain to work with the animals, as well. Also, I remember Kevin Williamson say that while vampires turning into animals was great in a book, it would be hard to show visually and probably be expensive.
Yesss THATS what i been talking about since I saw the episode they never got back together it called each other Is like they never existed to each other
Bonnie asked Elena not to call him, she said she wanted him to live a normal life... The truth is she was different, she wasn't inlove with him anymore... Then I guess they all moved on.
Alaric probably owned the apartment he lived in, so there was no new owner once he died, thus allowing vampires to get in. Maybe Logan was renting out the apartment and hence, the owner was still alive after Logan died.
Vervain was in short initially because there were not many vampire problems then. When Stefan and Damon came to town and problems began, the vervain supply grew up
