In this video I will be covering the things that I think could be improved on my 50cc Aprilia Sportbike. This is a great 50cc bike and these are just some small problems which I wish could have been considered more at the factory.
I live in London and I want to get a bike like Your one but I don't know if I can get because it is a sport bike at 16 can I only get mopped or can I get the bike that he has
you can get this bike at 16 too. as long as its 50cc or under and restricted (doesnt really matter no one has an rs50 resticted) then you can ride it legally
I'm turning 16 in a about 2 months and I don't really have a budget for buying everything so if you don't mind me asking was it really expensive for everything you bought such as insurance and the bike.
I paid £950 for the bike, although they can sell for around £1300 for a perfect condition example. I also spent £300 on insurance (Third Party, Fire and Theft). TAX was only £17 but you also have to consider price for all the gear e.g. helmet, gloves, jacket etc. as these can be expensive.
+One Down Five Up The gear I'm not to worried about because I have people who want me to be safe so they decided they buy this for me. I'm was more worried about how much the bike would cost I was expecting it to be a lot more then what you paid for it. This makes me think about getting a geared I was going to get a moped because it was cheaper but the aprrilia rs is a lot cheaper then I expected.
+brandon sleep If you have a look on Gumtree, Auto Trader or EBay you can find lots of RS50s for around £1000 so as you said, they aren't too much more expensive than a decent moped. If you do get one be sure to let me know what you think of it :)
another question when your 16 and get a 50cc motorcycle once you have got a provisional licence and done a CBT do you get a AM licence or do you just ride on a CBT??
+Ketsis FTW I've never calculated the mpg myself but from forums I've seen that the bike should get around 55-65mpg. I get 100 miles from £8 of fuel. I've never tested the total range of the tank, but given that 60mpg is equal to 13 miles per litre and the tank is 13 litres, you could theoretically get 160-170 miles per tank.
