People don't understand street trucks lol. This setup makes WAY more sense than a ridiculous lift, mudder tires, winch, roll bar, blah blah blah, for a street truck. I think its hilarious when people fit up their trucks with off road parts and then just drive them on the highways. This is a good look man that stance is nice on it. I usually don't go for chrome but I can kind of feel it the way you have it. Great job on the paint, I've been wanting to lay some paint down on my car for years but I'm too scared to do it so far haha
Yeah if you put a big lift on your truck and have no need for it that's just a waste of money. Now what every truck needs is a leveling kit or a 4" with 35's or 33's, doesn't look like a monster truck but doesn't look to small.
Beautiful two tone job. I love the red and gold. I agree with the other fella that mentioned painting the mirrors; it would look great! I really like that 4th gen bumper, as well.
Definitely the wrong wheels and tires for that truck, but for a DIY paint job, that came out great! Nice color combination. When you were painting it I wasn't sure about it, but the end result was great!
clean man!! We just picked up a 97 12 valve with 165 thousand miles ... body is rough as hell , just bought a cab and bed for it yesterday off an 01 v10 , going down next week , this truck is the spitting image of exactly what I wanted to do!!!
Yup! Was about to say this! Best off to rent a paint booth and do it right. Call around should be able to rent a decent booth for 50-150 and it's 100% worth keeping bugs out of paint
I see a lot of bad comments about your tires looking like black people tires, sorry I don't use the (N) word. Don't listen to those bad comments, if you love the way your truck turned out then you should be happy because it looks great ! I rather have much tires but that's my taste not yours and that's ok. Congrats on a job well done and have fun with it.
+maurilio zamora thanks, that's the image we strive to achieve here. do what you want with your car/truck. at the end of the day, it's your vehicle and if you like the way it looks, then you done it right! ~rob
Very well said man, i was thinkin the same thing. The video isnt even about the damn rims, its about the paint job. Haters will talk crap no matter what.
Maurilio Zamora black people tires? Wtf are black people tires??? You know what not my style of rim either, but it’s not my truck. Paint job came out good. Just do what you like , it’s your time and money .
This channel isn't just about trucks, we have multiple cars that are a part of the channel. As for haggard garage if you watch or QnA we commented on them :)
+reese puff Haggard Garage is a bunch of clueless fuck tards... These guys seem to actually know what they are doing and don;t act like they 're fuckin 12 years old.
Just to be honest they really dont know what they are doing but it didn't turn out bad . From about a minute in i said to myself this is going to be a nightmare but sometimes u got to work with what u got and i understand that. All in all it was a good video .
Wow, turned out nice. I like the color combo too, and the 4th gen front bumper looks good with the older body lines. Rims are ok, but its looks good. I think the mirrors and the door edge window trim painted to match would look really good, or even just the mirrors and keep the windows look like its one piece. Either way it turned out badass Also its nice having friends that help on rigs!
I've seen this video about 4 years ago and didnt realize it was yours till I accidentally found your channel when you changed the ecm on that white dodge and binge watched all your videos this week.
Dude, you guys are going to get cancer and brain tumors from huffing in all the carcinogenic paint dust and fumes. Simple dust masks, which were hardly worn anyway, isn't sufficient. Seriously, take care of yourself. You get one body, one set of brain cells, etc. Don't waste it. Health is priceless.
+Show Me What I Need To Know ABSOLUTELY, that stuff is nasty. I DID see a respirator when the clear was going on. THAT stuff is wicked nasty (urethane).
+Show Me What I Need To Know those simple dusts masks are n-95 masks which filter 95% of airborne particles, givin that they're painting in a well ventilated area with constant airflow those masks would be enough. Obviously an n100 or a regular vented respirator would have been better but those n95 masks are more cost effective and they most likely didn't have enough for everyone to wear one, and they also probably didn't care...the main reason I say that is they put big chrome rims on a 99' dodge cummins....lol
CallMeDad They’re painting with suction feed (paint cup on the bottom) spray guns which create a lot of overspray(mist). Using urethane enamel paint means it has a hardener agent which contain isocyanates which cause cancer, full hood respirators with clean supplied air is ideal... however a half mask with paint filters is sufficient. Ventilation is good but if you look closely you can see “fish eyes” and other imperfections likely from dust and other contaminants being blown on the truck. Spraying in a closed off area with positive pressure is needed. At the very least vacuum the floor and spray water on the walls and ground to keep dust down. Also using a tack cloth before and after priming and basecoat is a good idea. As for the rims they’d look better on a lowered ride and not a jacked up 4x4! props for effort though
Yehp its true.. Ive wrote graffiti and painted cars for the last 15 years and already had 3 tumors removed. 1 from my waist/hip area and 2 from my under arms.. Its super gay so wear a mask
+The Dog House just stumbled upon your truck. dude this looks so good. Negative offset, the stretched street tires, the smooth paint job and roll pan. This is a truck that knows it's not going to see mud and snow like every other hillbilly pretends they do... this is a truck with function on the street and hauling loads in the bed. as most trucks are used for... just wanted to say props -a lowered street truck owner
hahahah Thanks for the awesome comment dude! I try, its sleek and pretty.. but i think i am going to change her up to tend to a little more horsepower! But, again.. Thank you bud! Thank you for the kind works! --- Travis
The Dog House lol that's that what I've been doing with mine man. But your lucky you have a boosted truck. you can get big gains from just emission system bypasses and deletes
+Dave Rowelet Haha, I know.. I get a lot for having them. I think I'll be selling them soon for 20x12 Forces & more of an all-terrain tire. ----- Travis
+The Dog House Yeah definately sell them, truck would be cool with something else, it's the tire stretch that looks funny, spokes on the wheels look like penises too
Its a different look, that's why I like it. I mainly used her on the street and had a different plan for her. I think I'm going to change it up a little.
Travis has a habit of changing things on his truck constantly. The reason he got these wheels and Tires were because he knew he would get shit for them and it worked :) thanks the view though :D
Austin Scott i sure do love some N420S! They’re a great long lasting tire. I had no issues with mine. & thank you! The bumper swap bring the truck to life, along with the original sport bumpers too
we all have our preference on height n style. I have mine... that's not what thus is about, you're showing your repaint, and for that the laying of the color, prep, the end result is a very good job. props, saved probably 3000 where I'm at and that's at Maaco even.
+Gary Mcconell you say his rims look like shit but what you got? I don't see you making videos of you customizing your truck like he is, I don't see you blowing money like he is!!! Therefore you have no room to talk!!!
