@@ranadevray9089 Idk, then may be it is prescheduled in that case. And about the construction update, just one or two piers (at grade level) are yet to be fully concreted and a handful of girders left to be launched other than that strech is completely ready.

Instead of expanding to extreme fringes of Kolkata, expanding metro in around Howrah is most important. Commenting Nabanna and Shalimar, Shantragachi with Howrah is as important as connecting meteo to Airport

East West Metro will be expanded till Dhulagarh as i have heard many years back. The metro officials had a meeting with the locals of the places where the metro would be expanded and they welcomed the initiative with an open heart. So lets see whats gonna happen next. Eventually i thought that it would be better if the Joka metro gets divided at Khidirpur. One branch will lead to Esplanade and the other will lead towards Shalimar-Nabanna-Santragachi, again below Hooghly River.

Most probably not by 2025 Girders are still left to be launched from DDC to Jessore Road station and airport metro station will take 2026 to be ready

As per recent reports, most of the piers are erected and girders launched.. today the gap of Jessore road is also closed by launching steel girders.. and the stretch of circular railways is already lowered grade wise till Jessore road station.. Jessore road to airport the full tunnel is complete with even tracks being laid.. it’s just the DDC to Jessore road that needs completion.. hopefully by mid year or end of year..

🤔একটা স্টেশন চালু করবে? আর মেট্রো লাইন কি jessore road থেকে airport পর্যন্ত রেডি? এয়ারপোর্ট স্টেশন ও তো অনেকদিন ধরে কাজ চলছে. এই বছরের শেষে তো এই মেট্রো লাইন পুরোটাই চালু হয়ে যাওয়া উচিত. তাই কথা ছিল. এই তিনটে স্টেশন চালু করতে কি আরো তিন বছর লাগিয়ে দেবে. আর মেট্রো মাঝেরহাট থেকে কি আর এগোতে পারবে? Mominpur স্টেশন তো এই জন্মে আর তৈরি হবে বলে মনে হয় না😂

Depends on how you consider it, because modern day delhi includes gurugram bahadurgarh ghaziabad noida and although the suburbs are not much developed here but you can consider kolkata to expand till bandel in howrah side and till kalyani or krishnanagar in east side of Hooghly

@@ss-416So does Kolkata urban area covers the most of the areas of Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas, Howrah and Hoogly districts which surrounds Kolkata. I think Kolkata area is bigger than Delhi. I have lived in both cities. Also all these districts are in West Bengal whereas for Delhi it is distributed between Delhi, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan , so there are lot of administrative difficulties.
