This was a film about our trip to the Truma Factory Service Centre in Derbyshire. We managed to book a slot during the dreaded lockdowns and went to resolve a recurring error code we were getting on our 3 month old Mobilvetta K-Yacht 79 motorhome when trying to use the heating and hot water. The staff at Derbyshire were really great and got us all sorted - quite a challenge to get it all done whilst weaving between lockdowns!! No trouble at all since and the van is lovely and toasty in Winter!! :)
We used to upload our films to 'Offshore and Onshore Adventures' but have now had such an amazing response from all our subscribers that we have created this channel for all things motorhoming!!
(Our marine and boat adventures are now on our channel called Powerboating Adventures)

Hi Again, just found your Truma 6 video , really interesting as we also have had a couple of issues with our 2019 new 2020 motorhome Truma 6 boiler . In fact typically just out of 2 year warranty our boiler stopped heating water and heating . Had it checked and found it’s one of the elements that failed . Now a replacement of the elements is the only option or run the unit on gas only but it’s a cost of about £800 with labour which is a lot of refill gas bottles so I’m undecided as we want to switch to gas flow system as it’s available all over Europe . Had I realised Truma were in Derby I might have contacted them for advice especially as your engineer suggested running it on Mix 2 ? As the best setting 😢 wish I had known that from the beginning as we used electric 2 when on site and hooked up . Anyway great video Thankyou again 👍

Oh no thats not good re the warranty!! It's amazing to think Phil that the tiny electric element in there would be £800 to replace. That's a figure where I'd say to myself I need to see if I can do it as it seems a crazy price!! The element is about £150 so I think I'll get the tools out if it happens to us and go searching on You Tube for a 'how to' film !!! Many thanks for watching Phil :)

Yeh I have just watched a video on the same problem and he confirmed a price of £170 ish off eBay for replacement elements but the dealer adding in his labour makes it crazy at about £800 Total !! So this chap doing his own on his 2018 boiler so keep your eye on yours and use the mix setting if it means you get a longer life out of it 🙏 . Cheers

Hi Chris and thanks for watching - the van was brand new which made things a bit more frustrating but 2 and a bit years on it's been fine ever since that visit to Derby Truma :))

The they just replace the complete unit for free under warranty I'm currently travelling Europe for 90 days and now have this issue to deal with many thanks

It was a free repair Chris and there was a little CL site nearby on a farm that we stayed at so we could get to Truma for 8am. Fingers crossed you manage to get it sorted whilst travelling and continue to enjoy your trip.
