That was a fun watch, but all over the place. Tuning is a double edge sword, seems like the only one of the three; would be the RS3. It seemed to be dialed in and delivered consistent results. The 0-100 runs from the 340i is off the charts, the 700+ HP from the Merc shines on the roll and the RS3 just does it all well consistently. Still a hoot to watch these German monsters go.

RS3 has a simple stage 2 chip tune which is NOTHING compared to the UPGRADED TURBO +e85 FBO custom tune BMW, completely unfair vs audi yet is getting walked on every roll race, yikes! I have a GLA45 and after a tune the launch control never works as well as stock. Stock, the LC had some delayed reaction , but qas powerful and decent. After tuned, launch good one every 4-5 launch, most of the time just cut the power. Hopefully a custom tune or protune would fix the issue. Now roll race is a complete different animal for a 4cil🔥
Tuned car problems... My FWD with over 100 hp more then stock is slower than it was originally when using LC... It just lights up the tires, while stock it would manage the power way better and get consistent times.

The BMW has a BIG TURBO upgrade and a custom E85 tune.. that's not even remotely fair compared to the audi which only has a universal ECU tune on 93 octane.. they can't even be compared, if the RS3 had the same upgraded it'd beat the BMW easily. Bruh ignore this dudes comment. He’s talking out of his ass. Nothing he said is correct. He’s just mad the RS3 lost when they make similar power. The 340 just has way more torque, and the trans can only hold 650 before you have to upgrade it which is 100% what overheated on this car.

the BMW had uprgaded turbos and e85 and a custom tune. The Audi only had a universal chip tune and on 93 octane. It's not even remotely fair, go look at the mod list again, do you know nothing about cars? and then the BMW's cooling system was so pathetic it literally made the car a snail on every roll race. This is exactly why any tuner worth a damn will tell you to improve cooling before modifying . My Q50s is tuned to 400 AWHP on Ecutek and no one would even touch it until I upgraded the Heat exchanger . The tuner I went with wouldn’t even tune it unless I had a newer than 2018 because of the transmission issues with the early models. I’m not saying any of these tuners are bad by any means nor do I know any of the mods for the cars in this video but many of the newer engines are smaller displacement with turbo and are already near the limits from factory.

Yo the 340 cooling systems are very different from a q50 made by a luxury brand. After upgrading the cooling in the q50 it is still just a little better than the stock in the 340
You are right he should replace the heat exchanger but the 340 have a water to air intercooler that is very effective so in day to day use he probably wouldn't need it. Only when racing back to back like that or going on the track would he see real benefits.

Dude above is such a hater. The cars make similar power and the BMW isn’t an M, and the RS is way lighter but he’s so offended for some reason about a car he doesn’t own. The trans overheated because 650 is the limit. There are literally 800whp stock motors cars with built trans that go back to back runs with zero issues. RS3’s are awesome as you know, but are more expensive to build. The mods on the 340 are less than stage 2 on the RS3.

It has upgraded turbos and a custom e85 tune. That's not even remotely fair to the audi 5 cylinder which has a universal 93 octane chip tune. it's not insane whatsoever when you look at the mods. If you race a GTI with a BIG TURBO, e85, dyno tune vs a honda civic si it's obvious.. the BMW then FAILED on every roll race and was slower then a camry v6, embarrassing.
The BMW B58 engine and the 8 speed ZF box is match made in heaven. I drive a lighter 460hp RWD E92 N54 with the 7 speed DCT, and a quaife LSD but I wouldnt stand a chance here.

Cool races. I just realized the RS3 is running 93 octane. Lo. It’s basically like a handicap. Run it again with the Unitronic stage 2 ethanol tune or DS1 and it will be a completely different set of races. I own an ims1000 RS3. E85 is the way. 93 oct for road trips only.
I want to see the same race with the RS3 on an E85 tune, that extra 60+hp would have made quite a difference. It's like a totally different car on E85.
Has to be driver error. The car was listed with mpi but for stage 2??? And not even e85? Doesn’t make sense. But yes e85 stage 2 rs3 would smoke the 340 IMO

@@roboticvenom1935 The BMW was beating them both until it became heat soaked after a few races, which indicates insufficient cooling. It needs a bigger intercooler. RS3 is a beast, as well. But the 340i and M340i have been pretty reliable by German car standards. Also keep in mind this is the regular 340i that doesn't have all the updates that went into the B58TU, so it does require a lot more mods for this power. But the B58TU in the M340i is a tune away from serious power.

The b-58 cars are no fucking joke!!! I love the m340. By far one of the best bangs for the buck on the market today! Easy power w very few mods and reliable!! I'm looking at one of these over the f80 m3 even! This is coming from a single turbo 335i. Very similar power, but ughh that b-58 is so beautiful!!!

In both of the rolling races to be fair the bmw got shat on quite hard. Even the smaller engine inline 5 audi laughed at it. Look at 6:22 the merc and the 2.5 litre audi are gone before the bmw even close to the finish line.

@@roboticvenom1935 a hybrid is a not a big turbo dumbass. 620 is a conservative tune on any hybrid. If it was big turbo it would make 800-900whp. Go somewhere you clown. You’re clearly just mad the RS3 got walked when they make similar power which was the point of the video. Everyone knows RS3’s FBO E85 would walk both these cars. It’s half a Lambo engine and a turbo, and your taking about unfair against a non-M. 🤡
Great example of HP to weight ratio. Big HP numbers sound nice, but starting from a dig. There is a thing called physics. All cars looking good though.

The AMG needs a Pedal Commander. I have a Weistec tuned ML63 performance. The lag disappears with the Commander installed. I'm getting 0 to 60mph in 3.1 seconds.
Put a hybrid turbo on the rs3 on e70……..obviously the more you put in the car the better the results. That BMW was on E and had turbo upgrades. See the difference…..
That E63S sounds horrible, something is wrong with it lol, I've heard a 2018 E63S stock and it sounded like an actual AMG, not a tin can with a nail rattling around inside
@@hansy555 none of my were that powerful but they're are plenty of K series b series j series Honda engines with 500+ and run much more efficiently and 2jz and UZ V8 that can handle 1000+ with barely have to do any internal work so they're more than capable.
@@AnthonyParrilloRI yeah, but that wasn't the matter of discussion. you were writing about your hondas and lexus not having cooling problems (as opposed to the heavily tuned cars here). your cars would certainly have cooling problems if they were tuned and driven like this with stock cooling system. and then out of the blue you randomly started throwing random engines and random power figures that they supposedly handle on stock internals. what does that have to do with this video? many bmw engines (b58 for instance) handle insane amounts of power and torque with stock internals as well, but with every heavily tuned car you have to upgrade the cooling system to cope with extra thermal load. that's why i see no point in the initial comment, especially since there is no honda/lexus in this video.

I use to work for CarMax, they won't even buy a 5 year or older BMW with 70k plus and sell it on there lot because they were costing too much money on maxcare. They're fucking hunks of junks with a bunch of plastic and rubber that's gotta be replaced at 100k. Now say a 10 year old Acura or Lexus with 130k miles or less, they'll lot it in a second. You can buy a used 5 year old BMW for like 7k-10k less on average then the Lexus of the same year with the same miles. Both luxury cars, ones built Great the other built like shit.
