Turn Your Galvanized Tub Into A Strawberry Garden!!!

Over the years on the farm I have attempted to grow strawberries in several different ways, inground, pots and cheap plastic gutters. So far, planting strawberries in plastic gutters has worked successfully BUT mice and birds have figured out how to eat the berries I worked so hard to grow!!!
In today's video, I'm going to show you & y'all how I plan to grow strawberries in a galvanized tub, maybe it'll work!!

Your tub idea is great. I'm having trouble with critters eating my strawberries too. I'm going to dig them out and move them to containers in my green house on my back deck. The birds have had their share now it's my turn. LOL!

I hope to add strawberries to my garden this year. Got many veggies growing here in the house. I tried the gutter trick a few years ago. Smells like dookie! lol. Not sure how I will grow my Strawberries this year. I'm ready for good weather to get my plants planted!

Hey there Dan! I'm growing strawberry plants from seed indoors over the winter to replace all the ones that died on me last year for whatever reason. So far, so good, they were sown from a Quinault berry I harvested from the one plant that survived last year. What variety are those that you planted?

Hey! It’s so good to see you again!! I have a question (which generally turns into three or four). I plan to grow strawberries in containers. I’d planned on (oh and I’m a first-time”gardener.” I’d planned to use Blavk Kiw fertilizer with Black Kiw top soil. Would you advise this? Do I need to add perlite or vermiculite. I think your strawberries would grow good in Black Kow manure and some good potting soil with a lil sand and perlite, I'd want a well draining soil that's loamy as well if that makes sense lol!! I myself stay away from potting soil as the soil will compact quickly. Hope this may help ya some, have a great rest of the week!! Dan
