Great video bro, was about to place on order for these until i saw the issue getting out. My wife and kid would not like that scrapping of the leg. They do look cool but guess i am back to the drawing board and looking for something else. Thanks for the easy install instructions.

Thanks for the video, I have the same truck (2020) and got running boards off a guy that upgraded his truck, but am missing the hardware. I've ordered from Toyota but they are on back order. Can you tell me what size the bolt is that goes on the undercarriage (13mm, 8 mm? and length). Advance thanks. tap

2008 Tacoma the plugs you removed are different on the 08. there are only threads sticking out from the mounting points, without any to remove. These are not a rubber grommet, headed bolt just metal threads. Do you have any idea how to extract them with any damage to vehicle, unknown where threaded ends go, are the =y holding something in side an unreachable channel?

You are absolutely right I cant live with the geometry With the bars installed it is just about impossible to ingress and egress the cab without hitting the bars. They do look fantastic but not practical! Any suggestions regarding a side bar that actually makes it easier to enter the cab

I just ended up keeping them and getting used to it. That said, I have come to appreciate the fact they've made my truck door-ding proof.

I do like the looks and the price. I have ordered a set from Amazon but am thinking of returning after seeing your video. What do you think of a 3/4" spacer to bring the bar down slightly. Do you think it would make them more ergonomic and easier to climb into the cab

Not a bad idea. But I would think that might move them in, not down.

i figured you would want to use anti seize instead of thread locker? bolts can rust really bad in some areas.

You very well might be correct. Might need to keep an eye out. That said, I also recently installed the Toyota bedstep and right from the dealer all bolts came with threadlock factory installed.

Anti-seize is what I used because I had the same concerns about corrosion.

The ground clearance kinda gets ruined by that tube bar that goes under the stepping part. That’s the one thing I don’t like. That bottom tube part hangs down way too low

How do these running boards hold up in areas with nasty winters and road salt?? Anyone notice rusting/corrosion on their Tyger running boards?

I live in Seattle...lots of rain but little(if any) road salt. So far they're holding up fine.

Yes but you don't get any door dings that is the reason most people put these on trucks it's exactly why I put them on mine never have to worry about anybody banging into the side of my truck in a parking lot

Was considering Tyger but many reviews on Amzn stated the finish starts rusting in no time. Wonder if still true today? I believe it's made in China. Love the look and price but if new look is not gonna last,,,,
