In this episode of the Average Joe Fisherman, I head north to do a little spinner fishing for Brown Trout. Recent rains should have the bigger brown trout moving and on the feedbag. It should be the perfect time for trout fishing in small rivers, and spinner fishing for trout in rivers is one of my most favorite past times. But, the runoff from the recent rains is also causing the river to rise, and by the end of the day I cannot see where I am stepping. Not good! Let's just say that river water is cold!
Despite filling my waders, finding big Brown Trout is something I am able to do, including my best for the year so far - 22 inches! Just a PIG of Brown Trout. You never know what will happen when fishing for trout in Michigan. And, if you've been watching my videos, hopefully you are picking up some Brown Trout fishing tips and techniques.
