hi😀 from 🇫🇷, very interesting test but why not use steel bbs in Shotshells ? ( can give you the weight of the slugs in grams instead of grains "grn" please) ( is your hds unbridled? and with what?)
Hello Jerome and thanks. I couldnt find my 6mm steel BBs, but nine 0,4 gram is 3,6 gram in total. Same weight as the rubberballs (3,7 gram). The rubberballs has 344 fps and the BBs only ca 200 fps. Not sure why it is so. My HDS68 is stock 16 joule. No tuning yet. Maybe I remove the plug in the brasstube later.

More than a year late but recently subscribed, I'd like to point out that when you fired the 'shotgun shells', at 7.36'ish you can clearly see when you fired the left barrel first, the right shell lost two 'bb's', when you fired the right, it read much faster, the load was lighter? (minus at least 2 bb's). Those shells might need some tweaking. I hope you got your hip 'sorted' and all went well. I don't know if you will read this (15 months behind?) but I already made what I consider two good suggestions; your friend from defence-24 made a mag holder for the HDR-50 that attaches to the bottom rail, great idea and my suggestion is to redesign the mag-holder so that it is also a front grip. Second suggestion is to change the profile of the 'end/charge' cap, it doesn't need to be round or to need an external tool. Make the cap at least ovoid within the constraints of the handle? Make it manually more acceptable? Maybe some people will still need the tool to open the pressure chamber but a lot of grateful customers will not. I know that engineering a new piece is just a nightmare, but here's the thing, you don't have to change the dies, you can simply add a piece? Pax vobiscum.
Hello and thanks. Yes the rubberband holding the BBs in place is not working very well. Maybe some modding is needed. The mag holder is still on my HDR. I use it as a frontgrip, but it has sharp corners so a redesing might be in order. Greetings :)
@@runerebel8441 Many thanks Rune, it's only common sense to make weapons more deadly. Else why have them? Funny to contemplate making a 'less than lethal' toy just that bit funnier? I got lucky recently and I know it, time to have some toys that are not illegal (honest) and the first thing I'll do is 'tune them up'. The HDR 50 allows a chance, you can choose the first ammo send a warning, then all bets are off. Pax
Dearest MrRune-my fingers are crossed for Your surgery.Those slugs looks like a business,those shells are not.U can see,when U shoot first shot,bb`s fall of the second barrel,so it looks like they are loose-not sealed well in this shell,so thats maybe why velo was so low.All the best MrRune.
Thank you my friend. Yes the shotshells has its limmits. I notised in the video that they rolled out when firing. Maybe the O-ring holding the BBs are to soft... Not sure. But the slugs work fine :) All the best :)

@@fabienmaillot6128 Non pas celle là mais j'en ai fabriqué en cuivre Comme des cartouches de fusil , bref je te passe les détails 😜😉 Mais c'est pas probant du tout comme système , du coup je fais mes slug maison avec le slugmaker 68 , et sinon je tire des flèches( traits de 7,5p ) avec excellent ce HDS il est multi fonction 😉😜

I will give these a try. I have the caliber 43 shotshells from home defence 24 and was verry disappointed: no cardbord impact , and fidly to remove after the shot.
Its a cool thing to try, but the weight of the small BBs are low so energy isnt that much. But it fun to plink at popcans etc with :) The only problem I have had using these, is that the BBs from the second shot has a tendency to fall out of the shell because of the blowby from the first shot. If you load only one shell then it shouldnt be any problems ;)
@@runerebel8441 I did notice the same and even on one instance the wrong barrel shot. I’ll consider these a nice gimmick but apart from showing a visitor , they will stay in the box ;) Thanks for the reply. Have a good weekend in advance.
